(Refer to System Menu Operations Procedures on page 5-7.) 2Press U or V to display 07.Auto Density. 3Press [OK]. 4Press U or V and select an exposure from 1 to 7. 5Press [OK]. The display will return to that of Step 2. Text + Photo Mode Exposure Adjustment Adjusts the median exposure value of the copy for the Text + Photo original. 1Display the System Menu. Using processing to reduce black line decreases the reproduction quality of small characters, so it is recommended that the copier normally be used at the factory default setting. NOTE: When Photo Mode has been selected in Image Quality Mode, processing to reduce black line is not possible. 1Display the System Menu. Selecting Media Types for Automatic Paper Selection Specifies the type of media when the copier automatically selects the copy paper according to the size of the original. The type of media can be specified from the following types of paper supported. Plain, Transparency, Rough, Vellum, Labels, Recycled, Preprinted, Bond, Cardstock, Color (Colour), Prepunched, Letterhead, Thick paper, Envelope, High Quality and Custom 1-8 When Plain is selected in the following example, the copier looks for the cassette or MP tray in which the paper of the matching type (plain) and size (of the original document) is loaded and begins copying. NOTE: To assign media type to cassette according to the type of the media loaded, refer to Selecting Media Type (Cassettes 1 to 4) on page 5- 17 for details. 1Display the System Menu. (Refer to System Menu Operations Procedures on page 5-7.) 2Press U or V to display 15.AutoSel Paper. 3Press [OK]. 4Press U or V to select the desired media type. 5Press [OK]. The setting of Hagaki or A6R is shown here as an example, select 39.B4R/Folio Det and 40.11x15 Detect in the System Menu before selecting B4R and 11 x 15, respectively.
