5If jammed paper is visible in the paper ejection slot, pull the jammed 
paper toward you to remove it.
6Open the top cover, and remove the jammed paper.

Expansion Memory Modules
The printers main controller board has a memory slot into which you can 
plug in optional memory modules (dual in line memory modules). An 
optional memory module can be installed to expand the printer’s memory 
to 2 GB. The printer initially has 1 GB of memory installed.

Installing the Memory Modules
IMPORTANT  Remove any USB memory that is attached to the 
printers USB memory slot.
1Power off the printer and unplug the printer power cord.
2Remove the five screws (large) from the cover on the back of the 
printer.
3Remove the three screws (small) and then remove the cover.
4Remove the optional expansion memory module from its package.

Checking Expansion Memory
After installing expansion memory, use the following method to 
check that it is correctly installed.
1In the Report Print menu, press U or V to select Status Page.
2Press [OK]. A confirmation message is displayed.
3Press [Yes] ([Left Select]). Accepted. appears and the printer 
prints the status page.
Check the amount of memory with the printed status page. If the 
memory addition has been done correctly, the total amount of
