POLARIZED PLUG (1\f0V Models Only)
This appliance has a p\flarized p\ylug (\fne blade is w\yider than the \fther\y). T\f reduce

\fne way. If the plug d\fes \yn\ft fit fully int\f the \futlet, reverse the plug. If it\y still

TAMPER-RE\bI\bTANT \bCREW

How to Use
This pr\fduct is f\fr h\fuseh\fld use \fnl\yy.
GETTING \bTARTED
•   \bem\fve all packing material and, if appl\yicable, any stickers fr\fm the pr\fduct. 
\bem\fve and save literature.

•    Take the appliance apart f\fll\fwing instructi\fns in DISASSEMBLING THE 
CIT\bUS JUICE\b and wa\ysh all rem\fvable parts as instructed in CA\bE 
AND CLEANING.  Thi\ys will rem\fve any traces \ff dust \fr residue left fr\fm 
manufacturing and shipp\ying. 
Important: Do not rinse o\ar immerse base in water or any other liq\auid.
•    Place base \fn a dry, level c\funter t\f prepare and assemble, f\fll\fwing 
instructi\fns in ASSEMBLING THE JUICE\y EXT\bACTO\b.
•    Once assembled place the appliance \fn a level dry space, all\fwing air space  
\fn all sides t\f pr\fvide pr\fper ventilati\fn f\fr the m\ft\fr.
PREPARATION 
H\fw t\f prepare fruits and vegetables f\fr juicing.
Purchasing and \btoring Ingredients:
•    Always use fresh fully ripened fruits an\yd vegetables. 
•    When purchasing c\fnsider selecting fruits and \yvegetables in seas\fn f\fr best 
freshness and flav\fr.  
•    Ch\f\fse fruits that \yare plump, tender and have bright c\fl\fr. Fruits sh\fuld be 
heavy f\fr their size with\fu\yt bruises, cuts \fr \yblemishes. 
•    T\f ripen fruit, plac\ye in a small clean paper bag. Cl\fse the bag l\f\fsely and 
let stand at r\f\fm temperature. (T\f speed ripening, a\ydd a ripe apple \fr  
banana t\f the bag.) Once ripened, st\fre in the refrigerat\fr f\fr a day \fr 2 until \y
ready t\f use. 
•  St\fre perishable vegetables in the refrigerat\fr until ready t\f use. 
Preparing Fruits and Vegetables for the Juice Extractor:
•    Wash fruits and vegetables th\fr\fughly just bef\fre using in the jui\yce extract\fr 
using a natural bristle brush and a bi\fde\ygradable cleaner t\f help rem\fve 
pesticide residue.

•   If desired, rem\fve the skin. The sk\yin may be left \fn all pr\fduce with the 
excepti\fn \ff: 
  \f All citrus fruits,\y including 
    • Oranges 
    • Grapefruit 
    • Lem\fns 
    • Limes 
    • Tangerines 
Note: The \fil in the skin\y \ff these fruits tastes bitter and is difficult\y t\f digest.
Hint: Alth\fugh the skin ma\yy be left \fn mel\fns and pineapple, y\fu may ch\f\fse t\f 
rem\fve them t\f maximize the fruit\y flav\fr in the finished d\yrink.
•  All pits and large seeds sh\fuld be \yrem\fved fr\fm fruits, including\y: 
  \f Apric\fts 
  \f Cherries 
  \f Nectarines 
  \f Mang\fes 
  \f Peaches 
  \f Plums 
  \f Mel\fns 
•    \bem\fve and discard \futer leaves \ff n\fn-\frganic pr\fduce.  Peel away any  
wax c\fatings. 
•  Trim any bruised \fr d\yisc\fl\fred secti\fns \ff frui\yts and vegetables.
•    The design \ff the f\yeed chute acc\fmm\fdates larger pr\fduce. It will easily 
acc\fmm\fdate m\fst wh\fle fruits and vegetables, such as, apples, beets, 
carr\fts and celery. If necessary, cut int\f large pieces bef\fre inserting int\f  
feed chute. 
•    Be sure all parts \ff the \yjuice extract\fr and clean and dry. See the CA\bE AND 
CLEANING instructi\fns secti\fn \ff\y the manual \fn page \y12.
DI\bA\b\bEMBLING THE JUICE \aEXTRACTOR
1.   Pull \fpen at the b\f\ytt\fm \ff each l\fcking latch 
t\f disengage fr\fm the tab \fn the c\fver (B). The 
l\fcking latches will raise up, s\f y\fu can release 
them fr\fm the lid.
2.    T\f rem\fve the lid, take \fut the f\f\fd pusher, 
grasp the feed chute and pull up.

3.  T\f rem\fve the integrated pulp c\fntainer, grip the 
snap up juice sp\fut with \fne han\yd and the back 
edge \ff the pulp c\fntainer with the \fthe\yr. Pull up 
with the stainless steel filter in place (C).
4.   T\f rem\fve the stainless steel filter, h\fld the juice 
sp\fut and grasp the stainless steel filter by the rim 
t\f pull it \fut (D).
Caution: The stainless steel filter cutting teeth are 
very sharp. Handle it carefully.
 
A\b\bEMBLING THE JUICE \aEXTRACTOR
1.   Place integrated pulp c\fntainer \fn the base w\yith 
the juice sp\fut facing y\fu.
2.   Insert the stainless steel filter in the center \ff the 
integrated pulp c\fntainer and press d\fwn until it 
snaps int\f place (E). 
3.  Place the lid \fn t\fp \ff the integrated pulp      
   c\fntainer.
4.   Insert the desired f\f\fd pusher int\f the feed 
chute (see USING THE S\yMALL AND LA\bGE FOOD 
PUSHE\bS). Place the f\f\fd pusher int\f the feed 
chute, matching the indentati\fns \fn the f\f\fd 
pusher t\f the pr\fjecti\fns \fn the feed chute.
5.   L\fck the l\fcking latches by h\flding d\fwn the c\fver 
as y\fu fit the l\fcking mechanism at \ythe t\fp \ff each 
latch \fver the tab \fn each side \ff \ythe lid (F). Press 
the b\ftt\fm \ff each latch until y\fu hear it click in\yt\f 
place.
Important:  The appliance will not operate until the 
locking latches are locked.
6.   Tilt the juice sp\fut d\fwn int\f the \fpen (
)  
p\fsiti\fn (G).
7.  Place the juice pitcher under the jui\yce sp\fut.

U\bING YOUR JUICE EXTRACTOR
Note: T\f begin, assemble the fruits and \fr\y vegetables t\f be used \fn the c\funter 
\fr in a b\fwl next t\f the extract\fr, f\fll\fwing the tips in P\b\yEPA\bATION.
Important: The integrated pulp container holds about 3½\a cups of pulp.  
Do not allow the integrated pulp container to overfill. This may cause the 
appliance to stall.
1.   Plug appliance int\f a standard electrical \futlet. Press the speed c\fntr\fl switch 
t\f the l\fw setting (1) and a\yll\fw it t\f run 10 sec\fnds bef\fre placing any f\f\fd int\f 
the feed chute.
2.  Place f\f\fd in the feed chute and press lightly with f\f\fd pusher. 
3.    Use the f\f\fd pusher as a gui\yde t\f gently direct the pr\fduce thr\fugh the feed 
chute. T\f get the m\fst juice fr\fm the fruits and vegetables, d\f n\ft f\frce \fr 
rush the f\f\fd thr\fugh the appliance.
4.    When the pulp c\fntainer \fr juice pitcher is alm\fst full (the pulp c\y\fntainer 
h\flds ab\fut 3½ cups\y \ff pulp and the ju\yice pitcher h\flds ab\fut 4 \ycups \ff juice) 
turn \fff (0). All\fw the m\ft\fr t\f c\fme t\f a c\fmplete st\fp bef\fre emptying either 
part. 
5.    F\fll\fw the instructi\fns in DISASSEMBLING YOU\b JUICE EXT\bACTO\b t\f 
rem\fve the pulp c\fntainer, then replace f\fll\fwing instructi\fns in ASSEMBLING 
YOU\b JUICE EXT\bACTO\b.  Be sure t\f replace the c\fntainers bef\fre resuming 
extracti\fn.
Caution: The stainless steel filter cutting teeth are very sharp. Handle the  
filter carefully.
6.    When juicing is c\fmplete, lift the snap u\yp juice sp\fut int\f the cl\fsed  
p\fsiti\fn (
).
7.  Turn \fff and unplug \yfr\fm \futlet.
Note: Never place fingers \fr hand int\f the feed chute.
U\bING THE \bMALL AND\a LARGE FOOD PU\bHER\b
Note: The f\f\fd pusher has 2 pa\yrts; the smaller clear inner secti\fn l\y\fcks int\f 
 the larger \futer secti\fn. 1.   T\f rem\fve the small f\f\fd pusher, h\fld the\y 
large f\f\fd pusher with \fne \yhand and twist 
c\funtercl\fckwise until the l\y\fck \ff the inner 
secti\fn is disengag\yed;  
lift the small f\f\fd pusher straight up (H). 
2.    Place the large f\f\fd pusher int\f the feed chute, 
matching the indentati\fns \fn the f\f\fd pusher t\f 
the pr\fjecti\fns \fn the feed chute.
Note: Use the smaller \fpening f\fr small fruits and \y
vegetables. Use the small f\y\f\fd pusher t\f help guide 
the fruits and vegetables thr\fugh the \fpening in\y the          
  large f\f\fd pusher.

3.  When using larger pieces \ff fruits and vegetables, 
replace the small f\f\fd pusher int\f the large f\f\fd 
pusher and use the\y assembled piece t\f help guide 
the larger fruits and vegetables thr\fugh the feed 
chute. Match the n\ftches t\f the \fpening. The \yclear 
center will dr\fp int\f the sl\ft; turn the t\fp cl\fckwise 
until the small pus\yher is l\fcked in place (J). 
JUICE EXTRACTOR TIP\b
•  D\f n\ft put f\f\fd int\f the extract\fr bef\fre turning the appl\yiance \fn. 
•    Let the appliance run f\fr at least 10 sec\fnds bef\fre placing any f\f\fd int\f the 
feed chute. 
•    D\f n\ft let the juice \fr pulp c\fntainer \fverfill while using the machine\y. Turn 
the appliance \fff (0), wait f\fr the m\ft\fr t\f st\fp running and any \yjuice t\f st\fp 
fl\fwing.  Empty the jui\yce and/\fr pulp c\fntainer. Be sure they are pr\fperly 
replaced bef\fre resuming \fperati\fn \ff the extract\fr. 
•    D\f n\ft pr\fcess bananas, av\fcad\fs \fr c\fc\fnut. They have n\f juice and will cl\fg 
the appliance. 
•  Be sure t\f rem\fve all pits and lar\yge seeds fr\fm fruits. 
•  F\fr maximum nutriti\fnal\y benefits, drink y\fur pr\fcessed juice right a way. 
FOR OPTIMUM JUICING
•  Av\fid excessive build up \ff pulp \y\fn the underside \ff the lid. 
•  \bem\fve rind \ff mel\fns; because they are s\f thick, they water d\fwn drinks.
•  \befrigerate washed ripe fruit\ys and vegetables until ready t\f use. 
U\bE\b FOR THE PULP
The pulp fr\fm the fruits and vegetables is high in nutr\yiti\fnal value. Use it t\f add 
fiber and flav\fr t\f muffins and quick b\yreads. Use it t\f thicken s\fups, casser\fles 
and sauces. Use fruit pulp\y t\f add nutriti\fn and\y flav\fr t\f desserts, such as, 
puddings and cakes. Be sure t\f use it the same da\yy y\fu extract the juice.
Pulp is als\f f\f\fd f\fr y\fur garden. Y\fu can use it as c\fmp\fst.

DI\bA\b\bEMBLING THE CITRU\b \aJUICER
1. Lift the juice sp\fut int\f the cl\fsed  (
) p\fsiti\fn.
2.  \bem\fve the juice pitcher fr\fm under the sp\fut.
3.  T\f unl\fck the l\fcking latches, pull \fpen at \ythe b\ftt\fm \ff each latch t\f      
  disengage fr\fm the tabs \fn the c\fver. The latches will raise and be released    
  fr\fm the c\fver (see M).
4.  Lift the juicing c\y\fne assembly fr\fm the citrus juicer attachment.
5.  Lift the citrus ju\yicer attachment fr\fm the integrated pulp c\fntainer.
6.  Lift the pulp c\fntainer and the driv\ye shaft fr\fm the base.
A\b\bEMBLING THE CITRU\b \aJUICER
1.  Place the integrated pulp c\fntainer \fn the m\ft\fr 
base.
2.   Place the citrus juicer drive shaft int\f the center 
\ff the integrated pulp c\fntainer and press d\fwn t\f 
make sure it is seated securely \fn the base (K). 
3.   Place the citrus juicer attachment \fn t\fp \ff the 
integrated pulp c\fntainer s\f that the t\yw\f small l\fck 
tabs are t\f the right and left (L).
4.   L\fck the l\fcking latches by h\flding d\fwn the c\fver 
as y\fu as y\fu fit the l\fcking mechanism at \ythe 
t\fp \ff each latch \fver the tab \fn each side \ff \ythe 
attachment (M). Press the b\ftt\fm \ff each latch 
until y\fu hear it click in\yt\f place.
Important: The appliance will not operate until the 
locking latches are locked.
5.  Place the juice pitcher under the jui\yce sp\fut. 
6.   Tilt the juice sp\fut int\f the \fpen (
) p\fsiti\fn  
(see G on page 7). 
7.   Ch\f\fse y\fur desired citrus c\fne and place \fn the 
drive shaft (see USING\y THE JUICING CONES\y). 
U\bING THE JUICING C\aONE\b
Note: The small c\fne is rec\fmmended f\fr small 
fruits, such as lem\fns and limes and \ythe large c\fne 
f\fr larger fruits, such a\ys \franges and grapefruit.
1.   H\fld the small juici\yng c\fne in \fne hand by      
the 2 pr\fngs. Place the thumb and f\frefinger \ff  
the \fther hand \fn t\yhe large juicing c\fne    
directly ab\fve the pr\fngs. Press lightly and lift the    
c\fnec\fmpletely \fff. The small juicing\y c\fne will be    
revealed.
