2. General safety instructionsInformation  on  noise  emission  in  accordance  with “Machine Noise Information Ordinance 3. GPSGV and Machinery  Directives:  the  noise  pressure  level  at  the place of work can exceed 85 dB(A). In such cases the operator  will  require  noise  protection  (e.g.  wearing  of ear protectors).
Attention: Noise protection !  Please observe the local 
regulations when operating your device.
    General safety instruction
        Usage  of  hedge  trimmer  always  involves  a  risk of  accidents,  therefore  please  observe  the  relevant accident prevention instructions. The  machine  has  been  constructed  according  to  the latest  technology  and  in  accordance  with  the  recog-nised technical safety regulations.  Nevertheless, use of  the  machine  can  involve  risks  to  the  user  or  third persons,  and  can  cause  damage  to  the  machine  or other objects.Attention: Using electric power tools, you must observe following  fundamental  safety  instructions  to  protect yourself  against  electric  shock,  against  danger  of injuries  and  danger  of  fi re.  Read  all  these  instructions before  using  the  hedge  trimmer  and  observe  them. Keep these safety instructions at a safe place.Use  the  machine  in  a  safety  conscious  manner  for suitable applications in a technically perfect condition only and with due regard to the operating instructions! Immediately  rectify  or  have  rectifi ed  any  faults  which could adversely affect safety!This  machine  may  cause  serious  injuries.  Please read the instruction manual carefully as to the correct handling,  the  preparations,  the  maintenance  and  the proper use of the hedgetrimmer. Familiarize your-self with  the  machine  before  the  fi rst  use  and  also  have 
yourself introduced to practical use of the machine.
     3. Application                                         The machine is only intended for trimming hedges.  Use for any other purpose constitutes inappropriate use. The manufacturer / supplier is not liable for any injury and/or damage arising from  inappropriate  use.  This  risk  is the sole responsibility of the user.Appropriate use of the  machine  also  includes  adherence  to  the  operating instructions  and  compliance  with  the  servicing  and maintenance instructions.Always  keep  the  instruction  manual  close  at  hand during operation!
4.  Safety instruction1.  Keep    your    working    area  tidy.    Disorder  at  your working area may lead to accidents.
2.  Please consider environmental infl uences. Do not expose    power    tools  to  rain.    Do  not  use  power tools  in  wet  or  moist  surroundings.  Ensure  that there  is  good  lighting.    Do  not  use  power  tools near infl ammable fl uids or gases.3.  Keep  children  away.  Do  not  allow  other  persons to touch the power tool or cable. Keep other per-sons out of your working area.4.  Keep your power tools in a safe place. Power tools that are currently not in use should be stored in a dry  place  where  they  are  out  of  reach  of  children (high on a shelf or in a locked place).5.  Do not overtax your power tools. They work better and safer if  used within the stated performance range.6.  Always disconnect the plug from the mains socket before  carrying  out  any  work  on  the  equipment, before cleaning and before moving the equipment.7.  The use of hedge trimmers involves certain risks.

Attention: Danger! Rotating machinery.
8.  The  hedge  trimmer  should  always  be  held  with  both hands.
9.  Before  using  the  equipment  clear  the  working  area  of  any  foreign  objects  and  be  aware  of 
foreign objects during operation of the machine!  
If  the  machine  becomes  jammed  e.g.  by  thick 
branches,  switch  off  and  disconnect  the  ma-
chine from the mains socket before investigating 
and rectifying the cause of the jam.  Take special 
care when switching the machine on again.
10.  Check the fl ex and all connections for any visible  faults  before  using  the  machine  (plug  discon-
nected). Do not use a faulty fl ex.
11.  Keep the fl ex away from the cutting area.
12.  Do not use the trimmer in wet weather  and do not  use  it  to  cut  wet  hedges.Do  not  wash  down  the 
device  with  water.  Do  not  use  any  high-pressure 
cleaning devices or steam jet devices for cleaning.
13.  Carry  the  trimmer  by  the  handles  provided  and  keep hands away from the cutting blades.
14.  In line with agricultural Trade Association Regu- lations only persons over the age of 17 may work 
on their own with electric hedge trimmers. Use is 
permitted for persons over 16 years if the work is 
carried out under the supervision of adults.
15.  We  would  recommend  that  safety  clothing  is  worn  during  the  work  and  that  eyes,  ears,  hair, 
hands  and  feet  are  fully  protected.  Protective 
gloves should also be worn.
16.  Ensure  that  the  motor  of  your  hedge  shears  can  not  be  switched  on  by  mistake  when  you  put  it 
down after work or when you are going to clean the 
device. Never forget to unplug the mains supply!
17.  Check  the  cutting  unit  regularly  for  damage  and  if  damage  is  discovered,  the  cutting  unit  should 
be properly repaired.
18.  Be  aware  of  your  responsibility  as  user  towards  third parties in the working area.
19.  The trimmer must be properly checked and serv- iced. If the blades get damaged  they should only 
be  exchanged  in  pairs.  In  the  event  of  damage 
from impact, specialist’s inspection is essential.
20.  Only  use  extension  cords  that  are  approved  for  outdoor  use  and  that  are  not  lighter  than  rubber 
tube  cords  type  H07  RN-F  according  to  DIN/VDE 
0282 with a diameter of at least 1.5 mm
2. They must 
be  water  spray  protected.  Damaged  cables  of  this 
unit  are  only  to  be  replaced  by  a  service  station 
designated  by  the  manufacturer  as  special  tools 
are  necessary.  Equipment  which  will  be  used  in 
different  outside  locations  should  be  connected 
via residual current - operated current breakers.
21.  Do  not  use  the  cable  for  purposes  it  has  not  been designed for. Never carry a power tool at its 
cable.  Do    not  pull  out  the  plug  from  the  socket 
using the cable.  Protect the  cable from heat, oil 
and sharp edges.
22.  Ensure  that  the  equipment  is  stored  safely  af- ter  use  in  such  a  way  that  the  blade  cannot  be 
touched.
23.  When  using  the  equipment,  hold  it  securely  with 
both hands, stand fi rmly and ensure that you have 
suffi cient    working    space.    There  should  be  no 
people, animals or objects within the working area. 
Select    the  cutting  height  so  that  the  blade  does 
not  make  contact  with  the  ground  and  you  can 
operate the equipment from a secure position.
24.  Take care when transporting the equipment (only  with blade cover!). 
25.  For initial use of the hedge trimmer we would rec-
ommend that in addition to reading the operating 
instructions,  you  also  seek  a  practical  demon-
stration from an expert.
26.  Always  ensure  that  all  protective  devices  and  handles  are  properly  fi tted.  Never  attempt  to  use 
an incomplete machine.
27.  Never  try to use an incomplete tool or a tool that has  been modifi ed in a way that has not been approved.
28.  Do not allow children to use a power tool.
29.  The  use  of  the  hedge  trimmer  is  to  be  avoided  if 
other  persons,  above  all  children,  are  within  the 
working area.
30.  Familiarize yourself with the working area and pay  attention to possible dangers which you might not 
be able to hear due to the noise of the machine.
31.  Always  pay  attention.  Take  care  of  what  you  do.  Do your work sensibly. Do not use a power tool if 
you cannot concentrate.
32.  ATTENTION !  Only use the accessories or attach- ments  shown  in  the  Operating  Instructions.  The 
use  of  other  add-on  tools  and  accessories  may 
set up the risk of injury for you.
33.  Have  your  power  tools repaired by an appro-priate- ly qualifi ed electrician only. This power tool complies 
with the applicable safety regulations. Repairs  must  
only    be  carried  out  by  qualifi ed  electricians  using 
original spare parts; otherwise, accidents may occur 
to the user.
5. Before use
Mounting the bow-type handle  (Fig. 1)
If  there are screws fi xed to the mounting points, remove these 
fi rst. Then,  remove  the  shear  protector  and  put  the  bow-type 
handle  from  the  front  (as  shown  in  Fig.  1)  over  the  shearing 
system, and put it into the relief of the hedge shears’ housing. 
(If necessary, pull the lower ends of the handle slightly apart.) 
Take care that you do not squeeze the two parts of the bow-
type  handle.To  fasten    the    bow-type  handle  screw    the    two 
included  screws through  the  openings in  the  handle into the 
threaded holes of  the  housing  and  fasten  them  tightly. 
Protection shield  (Fig. 2)
If  screws  are  fastened  to  the  bottom  plate,  remove  these. 
Fasten the hand protector with the two included screws to 
the bottom plate.
 
Power connectionThe  machine  can  only  be  connected  to  a  single-phase  a.c. current  connection.  The  machine  is  protectively  insulated  in accordance  with  classifi cation  II  of  VDE  0740.  Before  using the  machine  ensure  that  the  mains  current  agrees  with  the operating voltage data on the machine’s identifi cation plate.

tions must be connected to a Power Circuit Breaker.
Securing the power supply cable (Fig. 5)Only  use  cables  (extension  fl ex)  that  are  approved  for outdoor use. The cable diameter must be equal to or bigger than 1.5mm² for cable lengths up to 75m.
Extension  fl exes  with  a  length  of  more  than  30m  reduce 
the machine’s output.
6. Instructions for use of the equipment  
Do  not  use  the  trimmer  in  rain  or  for  cutting  wet hedges!Check  the  hedge  trimmer  fl ex  and  its  connections before each and every use for visible signs of damage (disconnect the power plug)!  Do not use a faulty fl ex.
Gloves:Protective  gloves  must  be  worn  when  using  the hedge trimmer.
7. Switching the hedge shears on/off (Fig.3) 
When  switching  the  hedge  shears  on  take  a  safe  stand. 
These  hedge  shears  have  a  two-hand  safety  switch.  To 
switch  the  hedge  shears  on  the  bar  switch  in  the  handle 
(A)  and  the  grip  switch  of  the  bow-type  handle  (B)  must 
be  pushed  down.
  To  switch  the  device  off  let  go  of  both 
switches. The motor already stops if one of the two switches 
is released.   
8. Maintenance
Always  disconnect  the  plug  from  the  power  socket before commencing any work on the machine.
Important:  Always  clean  and  oil  the  blades  after  pro-longed  use  of  the  hedge  trimmer.  This  will  greatly  affect the life of the equipment. Damaged cutting units must be properly repaired immediately. Clean the shearing blades 
with a dry cloth or – in case of heavier dirt – with a brush. 
Attention:  Danger  of  injury!
Oiling  of  the  blades  should ideally  be  carried  out  using  an  environmentally  friendly lubricant (Fig. 6).
Sharpening of the bladesThe  blades  generally  do  not  need  servicing  and  do  not require resharpening if used correctly. In order to prevent injuries caused by the blades when not in use, the sharp-ened cutting blade should be covered by the blade cover (Fig.  4).  The  blades  cannot  be  sharpened  by  the  user without  opening  the  equipment  and  the  safety  mecha-nism.  Resharpening  of  the  blades  can  therefore  only  be carried out at a specialist workshop.
Changing the bladesOnly correct installation of the blades will guarantee problem-free  operation  and  function  of  the  above  mentioned  safety feature of the blades. Changing of the blades should therefore only be carried out at a specialist workshop. 
9.  Holding the hedge trimmer when in use (Fig. 7)
This equipment will enable you to cut or trim bushes and 
hedges easily and comfortably.
Trimming of hedges-  Young shoots are best cut in a scythe move ment.
-  Older and stronger hedges are best cut in a sawing movement.-   Branches, which are too thick for the hedge trimmer, should be cut with a saw.-  Sides of hedges should be cut upwards in a taper.
In order to achieve an even height-   Fix a guide line at the required height.-   Cut evenly over this guide line.
Expanded  working  height:  If  you  want    to  reach  higher  or  if you to above your head’s height (see Fig. 8), you should  take care of the following:
Attention : Take care to have a secure and safe standing 
position  when  working  with  your  hedge  shears  in  order 
to  avoid  slipping  and  injury.  Always  keep  the  shearing 
blades away from your body.
10. Optimum safety  
The 5 special features two-hand safety switch, quick blade  stop,  protective  cover,  blade  safety  rail  and impact protector are fi tted to provide the hedge trim-mer with optimum safety features.
Attention!If  you  fi nd  out  that  safety  functions,  such  as  the 2-switch  mechanism  or  the  safety  stop,  are  not functioning while working with the hedge shears, immediately cease working and take the machine to a specialised shop for repairing.
Two-hand safety switch(Fig. 3)To  switch  on  the  hedge  trimmer  one  of  the  switch  bars on the hand grip (A or B) and the switch on the bow-type handle  (C)  must  be  held  down.  If  one  of  the  switches is  released,  the  shearing    blades  will  stop  after  ca.  0.2 seconds. 
Quick blade stopIn order to avoid injuries through cuts, the blade will stop in max. 0.2 sec. when one of the two switches is released.
Blade safety rail (Fig. 4)The cutting blade set back from the blade housing reduces the  risk  of  injuries  due  to  unintentional  body  contact.  As soon  as  the  hedge  trimmer  is  switched  off,  the  sharp  cut-ting blades will stop - due to safety reasons - exactly under the  cover  rail  in  order  to  reduce  the  risk  of  injuries  during transport.
Impact protector (Fig. 9)The  extended  guide  rail  prevents  unpleasant  shocks (blade  recoil)  being  transmitted  to  the  operator  due  to impact with solid objects (wall, ground etc.).
Gear protection featureIf  solid  objecst  are  caught  in  the  cutting  blade  and  jam the motor, switch off the machine at once, disconnect the power  plug  from  the  power  socket,  remove  the  object and continue with the work.The  equipment  is  also  fi tted  with  an  overload  cutout, which protects the gears against mechanical damage in the event of blade jams.

11. Storing the trimmer after useThe  hedge  shears  must  be  stored  such  that  there  is no danger of injuries being caused to persons by the cutting blades!Important note: The shearing blades should be cleaned after each use.(see also Section 8. Maintenance).This will considerably increase the service life of the device. Please use  a  lubricator  that  is  not  harmful  to  the  environ-ment  , e. g. our service spray. Then put the shears in their case with the cutting blades fi rst.
12. Repair service
Repairs to electric power tools should only be carried out by specialist electrical personnnel.
13. Waste disposal and environmental protection
If your device should become useless somewhere in the future or you do not need it any longer, do not dispose of the  device  together  with  your  domestic  refuse,  but  dis-pose of it in an environmentally friendly manner. Please dispose of the device itself at an according collect-ing/recycling  point.  By  doing  so,  plastic  and  metal  parts can  be  separated  and  recycled.  Information  concerning the  disposal  of  materials  and  devices  are  available  from your local administration.

2. Conseil général de sécuritéDonnées  sur  les  émissions  sonores  conformément au règlement d’information sur le bruit des machines 3ème loi sur la sécurité des appareils et des produits (GPSGV)  ou  des  prescriptions  en  matière  de  machi-nes : le niveau de pression acoustique au lieu de tra-vail peut dépasser 85 dB (A). Dans ce cas il convient de  prévoir  des  mesures  de  protection  acoustique pour l’opérateur(par ex. port de protègeoreilles).
Attention  :  protection  contre  le  bruit  !  Avant  la  mise 
en marche, informez-vous des prescriptions locales.
     Conseils généraux de sécurité      Chaque emploi d’un taille-haie comporte un risque d’accident.  C’est  pourquoi  nous  vous  demandons d’observer les prescriptions de protection contre les accidents.
La  machine  est  conçue  suivant  le  niveau  de  la  tech-nique  et  des  normes  de  sécurité  en  vigueur.  Malgré tout,  leur  emploi  peut  engendrer  des  dangers  de corps  et  de  vie  pour  les  utilisateurs  et  les  tiers,  de porter préjudice à la machine et à d’autres objets.
Attention:  En  utilisant  des  outils  électriques  il  faut observer  les  règles  fondamentales  de  sécurité  sui-vants  pour  vous  protéger  contre  commotion  électri-que,  danger  de  blessures  et  danger  de  feu.  Veuillez lire  et  observer  tous  ces  instructions  avant  d’utiliser cet outil électrique. Conservez les règles de sécurité à une place sûre.
Employer  uniquement  la  machine  dans  un  état  tech-nique  impeccable  et  conformément  aux  règles,  en toute conscience de la sécurité et des dangers et en respectant  l’instruction  de  service  !  Il  est  important notamment d’éliminer (ou de faire éliminer) immédia-tement les pannes qui nuisent à la sécurité !
Cette machine peut provoquer des blessures graves. Lisez  soigneusement  les  instructions  concernant  le 
maniement correct, à la maintenance et à l’utilisation adé-quate du taille-haie. Avant la première utilisation familiarisezvous avec la machine.
     3. Application
La  machine  est  uniquement  destinée  à  tailler  les haies.  Tout  autre  emploi  est  considéré  comme  non conforme. Le fabricant / fournisseur ne portera aucu-ne  responsabilité  pour  les  préjudices  qui  en  résul-tent.  L’utilisateur  portera  seul  tous  les  risques  et périls.Font également partie de l’emploi conforme, le respect  de  l’instruction  de  service  et  des  conditions d’inspection et de maintenance.
Conserver  l’instruction  de  service  en  permanence sur le lieu d’emploi de la machine !
4. Avis de sécurité1.  Maintenez  votre  lieu  de  travail  bien  en  ordre.  Le désordre    sur  le  lieu  de    travail  peut  être  cause d’accidents.2.  Respectez les infl uences environnementales. N’ex-posez pas les appareils électriques à la pluie. N’uti-lisez  pas  vos  appareils  électriques  dans  un  milieu mouillé  ou  humide.  Veillez  à  un  bon  éclairage. N’utilisez pas vos appareils électriques à proximité de liquides ou de gaz infl ammables.3.  Tenez  les  enfants  éloignés.  Ne  laissez  pas  d’au-tres personnes  toucher à l’appareil électrique ou au  câble.  Maintenez  les  personnes  étrangères  à distance de votre lieu de travail.4.  Entreposez vos appareils électriques dans un endroit sûr.  En  cas  de  non-utilisation,  les  appareils  électri-ques  doivent  être  stockés  dans  un  endroit  sec,  en hauteur ou enfermés, hors de portée des enfants.5.  Ne surchargez pas votre appareil électrique. Vous travailler  ez    mieux    et  plus  en  sécurité  en  vous tenant dans les limites de puissance indiquées.

6.  Retirez  le  connecteur  de  la  prise  avant  d’effec-tuer  tous  travaux  sur  la  machine  (nettoyage, transport ...).7.  L’emploi  du  taille-haie  est  lié  à  des  dangers  par-ticuliers. Attention, danger ! Outil mobile.8.  Le taille-haie doit uniquement être manié à deux mains.9.  Avant  l’emploi  de  l’appareil,  éliminer  les  corps étrangers  de  la  surface  de  travail    et  faire  atten-tion  à  la  présence  de  ceux-ci  durant  le  travail  ! Lorsque  les  lames  du  taille-haie  sont  bloquées, par  ex.  par  des  grosses  branches  etc.,  le  taille-haie doit être mis hors de service (retirer la fi che du  secteur),  c’est  alors  seulement  que  l’on  peut en  éliminer  la  cause.  Soyez  particulièrement prudent lors de la remise en marche.10.  Avant  chaque  emploi,  vérifi er  si  le  fi l  du  taille-haie  et  ses  raccords  présentent  des  défauts  (le connecteur  étant  retiré).  Ne  pas  employer  de  fi l défectueux.11.  Maintenir le fi l hors de la zone de coupe.12.  Ne pas employer le taille-haie lorsqu’il pleut ou pour tailler des haies mouillées. Ne jamais arroser l’appa-reil avec de l’eau. Ne pas utiliser d’appareil à haute pression ou à jet de vapeur pour le nettoyage13.  Porter le taille-haie aux poignées. Ne pas toucher les lames !14.  Selon les dispositions de l’association profes-sion-nelle des agriculteurs, les travaux avec le taille-haie électrique  peuvent  uniquement  être  exécutés  par des  personnes  seules  de  plus  de  17  ans.  Les  per-sonnes de plus de 16 ans sont admises à effectuer les travaux sous les directives d’un adulte.15.  Nous conseillons de porter des vêtements sûrs du-rant les travaux et de veiller à ce que les yeux, les oreilles, les cheveux, les mains et les pieds soient protégés. Vous devez porter des gants de travail.16.  Après avoir déposé le taille-haie et avant les tra-vaux  de  nettoyage,  assurez-vous  que  le  moteur ne  puisse  pas  être  mis  en  marche  inopinément. Toujours retirer la fi che !17.  Vérifi ez régulièrement le dispositif de coupe et si vous  constatez  des  détériorations,  veillez  à  leur maintenance correcte.18.  N’oubliez pas qu’en tant qu’utilisateur vous portez la responsabilité à l’égard de tiers dans la zone de travail.19.  Le taille-haie est à entretenir et à vérifi er. Les lames doivent  uniquement  être  échangées  de  paire.  En cas de détérioration par chocs, l’inspection par un spécialiste est indispensable.20.  N’utilisez  que  des  câbles  de  rallonge  autorisés pour l’emploi à l’extérieur ; ils ne doivent en aucun cas être plus légers que les câbles en caoutchouc H07  RN-F  conformes  à  la  norme  DIN/VDE  0282 de  1,5  mm2  minimum.  Les  fi ches  électriques et  les  prises  des  rallonges  électriques  doivent être  étanches  aux  projections  d’eau.  Seulement laisser  remplacer  des  câbles  endom-magés  par une station de service indiquée par le producteur parce  que  des  outils  spéciaux  sont  nécessaires. Nous  recommandons  de  brancher  les  appareils 
mobiles  employés  à  l’extérieur  par  l’intermédiaire de disjoncteurs à courant de défaut.21.  N’utilisez pas le câble à des fi ns auxquelles il n’est pas destiné. Ne portez jamais l’appareil électrique par le  câble. Ne tirez pas sur le câble pour retirer la fi che de la prise. Protégez le câble de la  chaleur  et de l’huile  et évitez les arrêtes tranchantes.22.  Veillez  à  c  que  l’appareil  soit  rangé  après  emploi de sorte que les lames ne soient pas accessibles.23.  En cours de travail maintenir l’appareil fermement des  deux  mains,  maniez-le  uniquement  en  ayant un  bon  maintien.  Veillez  à  avoir  suffi samment d’espace  libre  pour  votre  travail.  Il  ne  doit  pas  y avoir  de  personnes,  animaux  ou  objets  dans  la zone de travail. Choisissez une hauteur de coupe telle  que  la  lame  n’entre  pas  en  contact  avec  le sol et que vous ayez une position stable.24.  Veillez  à  un  transport  sûr  de  l’appareil  (seule-ment avec fourreau).25.  Lors  du  premier  emploi  du  taille-haie  nous  con-seillons  lors  de  la  lecture  de  l’instruction  de  ser-vice,  de  vous  laisser  initier  à  l’emploi  pratique  de l’appareil.26.  Veillez  toujours  à  ce  que  tous  les  dispositifs  de sécurité et poignées soient mis en place. 27.  N’essayez jamais d’utiliser une machine incomplète ou ayant subi une transformation non autorisée.28.  Ne  permettez  jamais  aux enfants de se servir de l’appareil électrique.29.  Evitez l’utilisation du taille-haie s’il y a des personnes, sur tout des enfants près de la zone de travail.30.  Familiarisez-vous  avec  vos  environs  et  veillez  à des  dangers  possibles  lesquels  vous  ne  pouvez éventuellement pas entendre à cause du bruit de la machine.31.  Soyez attentifs. Faites bien attention à ce que vous fai-tes. Travaillez  avec bon sens. N’utilisez pas l’appareil électrique si vous ne pouvez pas vous concentrer.32.  ATTENTION! N’utilisez que les accessoires ou les appareils  supplémentaires  mentionnés  au  mode d’emploi.    L’utilisation    de  tout  autre  appareil  et accessoire peut entraîner des blessures.33.  Faites  réparer  votre  appareil  électrique  par  un spécialiste. Cet appareil électrique est conforme aux directives  de  sécurité  en  vigueur.  Les  réparations ne  peuvent  être  effectuées  que  par  un  spécialiste utilisant  des  pièces  de  rechange  originales.  Sinon, l’utilisateur peut être victime d’accidents.
5. Avant la mise en service
Montage de la poignée-étrier (Ill.1)
Ôter les vis du point de fi xation le cas échéant. Ensuite  tirer 
la    poignée  étrier  vers  l’avant,    comme  représenté  à    l’ill.1  
par  dessus    le  système  de  coupe,  après  avoir  retiré  l’étui 
de  protection  et  le  placer  dans    l’évidement  prévu    sur    le  
boîtier du taille-haie. ( Pour cela, si c’est nécessaire,  écarter  
les  extrémités  inférieures  de la poignée). Veiller à ce que 
les deux parties de la poignée-étrier ne soient  pas compri-
mées. Pour fi xer la poignée-étrier, visser les deux vis jointes 
à l’emballage à travers  les ouvertures de  la poignée dans 
les forages  fi letés  du boîtier et les serrer à fond.

Le  cas  échéant,  ôter  les  vis  fi xées  sur  la  plaque  de  fond.   
Fixer  le    protègemain  à  la  plaque  de  fond  à  l’aide  des  deux 
vis jointes à l’emballage.
Branchement électrique
La  machine  peut  uniquement  être  branchée  au  courant alternatif  monophasé.  Elle  est  isolée  selon  la  classe  II VDE 0740. Mais avant la mise en service veillez à ce que la tension de secteur corresponde à la tension de service de la machine marquée sur la plaque moteur.
Disjoncteur à courant de défaut:Les  machines  mobiles  qui  sont  employées  en  plein air doivent être branchées à l’aide d’un disjoncteur à courant de défaut.
Dispositif de sécurité du câble de rallonge  (Ill. 5)
N’utiliser que des câbles de rallonge autorisés pour l’emploi 
à  l’extérieur.  La  section  du  conducteur  doit  être  égale  ou 
supérieure à 1,5 mm² pour une longueur de 75 mètres. 
Les  câbles  de  rallonge  de  plus  de  30  mètres  diminuent  le 
rendement de la machine. 
6. Instruction d’emploi
Ne pas employer le taille-haie sous la pluie et ne pas couper de haie mouillée !
Avant chaque emploi, vérifi er si le fi l du taille-haie et ses  raccords  présentent  des  défauts  (le  connecteur étant retiré). Ne pas employer de fi l défectueux.
Gants:Pour  travailler  avec  le  taille-haie  vous  devez  porter impérativement de gants de travail.
7. Brancher et éteindre le taille-haies (Ill.3) 
Pour  mettre  le  taille-haie  en  marche,  prenez  une  position 
sûre.  Ce  taille-haies  est  équipé  d’un  couplage  de  sécurité  à 
2 mains. Pour brancher le taille-haie, appuyer sur la réglette 
de commutation dans la poignée à main (A) et sur la poignée 
de  commutation  dans  la  poignée-étrier  (B).  Pour  éteindre  la 
machine, relâchez les deux poignées Le moteur s’éteint déjà 
lorsque l’une des deux poignées est lâchée. 
8. Maintenance
Avant tous travaux sur la machine, retirer impérative-ment la fi che de la prise !Important : Après chaque emploi important du taille-haie, celui-ci  devrait  être  nettoyé  et  huilé.  Ceci  infl uence  de façon  décisive  la  longévité  de  l’appareil.  Les  lames  en-dommagées  sont  à  réparer  correctement  sans  attendre.Nettoyez  la  lame  avec  un  chiffon  sec  ou,  si  elle  est  très 
encrassée,  avec  une  brosse.  Attention  :  risque  de 
blessure! Les lames devraient être lubrifi ées si possible à l’aide d’un lubrifi ant non polluant (ill. 6).
Affûtage des lamesLes lames sont en grande partie sans entretien et n’ont pas besoin d’être affûtées en cas d’emploi conforme. Pour éviter les  blessures  provoquées  par  les  lames,  même  si  celles-ci ne sont pas en marche, la lame affûtée est recouverte par la  came non affûtée (ill. 4). De ce fait, la lame ne peut être affû-tée par l’utilisateur, sans ouvrir l’appareil et intervenir dans sa 
confi guration de sécurité. Un affûtage des lames peut donc uniquement être effectué par un atelier spécialisé.
Changement de lamesUne mise en place correcte des lames garantit le fonctionnement impeccable et la position de sécurité des lames. C’est pourquoi le changement de lames peut uniquement être effectué par un atelier spécialisé.
9. Maintien du taille-haie à l’emploi (ill. 7)
Cet  outil  vous  permet  de  tailler  rapidement  et  conforta-blement les buissons, haies et arbustes.
Coupe de la haie-  Les jeunes pousses sont coupées aisément dans un mouvement de faux. -  Les  haies  plus  vieilles,  plus  grosses  sont    coupées aisément dans un mouvement scie.-  Les  branches  trop  épaisses  pour  les  lames  de-vraient être coupées à l’aide d’une scie.-  Les côtés de la haie devraient être amincis vers le haut.
Afi n d’obtenir une hauteur égale-  Tendre une corde à la hauteur désirée.-  Couper droit au-dessus de cette ligne.
Travail à plus grande hauteur : S i vous souhaitez travailler  
plus  en    hauteur  ou    au-dessus  de  la  tête  (voir  illustration  
8), veuillez  tenir  compte  des  indications suivantes : Attention  : veillez à adopter une position sûre afi n d’éviter 
un glissement et un éventuel accident. Maintenez  toujours 
les  lames de coupe à distance du corps.
10. La sécurité optimale
Grâce  aux  5  composants,  contacteur  de  sécurité  à  2 mains,  arrêt  rapide  des  lames,  bouclier  de  protection, couteaux  de  sécurité  et  butée  de  protection,  le  taille-haie est équipé d’éléments de sécurité optimaux.
Attention!Pendant  le  travail  avec  le  taille-haie,  si  vous  constatez que les fonctions de sécurité telles que le commutateur à    2  mains  ou  l’arrêt  d’urgence  ne  sont  pas  assurés, interrompez  immédiatement  votre  travail  et  apportez l’appareil à un spécialiste autorisé pour le faire réparer !
Réglage de sûreté (ill. 3)
Pour mettre le taille-haie en marche, l’une des deux réglet-
tes  de  commutation  doit  être  enfoncée  dans  la  poignée  (A 
ou  B)  et  la  manette  de  commutation  dans  la  poignée  en 
étrier  (C).  Dès  que  l’on  lâche  l’une  des  deux  réglettes,  les 
lames  de  coupe  s’arrêtent  dans  un  laps  de  temps  de  0,2 
sec. environ.
Arrêt rapide des lamesPour  éviter  les  blessures  le  couteau  s’arrête  instanta-nément  après  le  relâchement  d’un  des  éléments  de commutation en l’espace de max. 0,2 sec.
Couteaux de sécurité (ill. 4)La  lame  recouverte  par  la  came  réduit  les  dangers  de blessures  provoquées  par  un  contact  involontaire.  Dès que  la  machine  est  debranchée,  le  couteau  coupant s‘arrête instantanément - à cause de raisons de sécurité - exactement audessous de la came. Pour cela, les bles-sures pendant le transport sont presque exclues.

La tringle de guidage qui dépasse évite que l’utilisateur ne 
reçoive des coups désagréables (recul du couteau) provo-
qués lorsque l’outil touche à un objet fi xe (mur, sol, etc.).

Elément de protection de l’engrenage
Si  des  objets  solides  sont  coincés  dans  les  lames  et 
bloquent  le  moteur,  il  faut  immédiatement  débrancher  la 
machine,  retirer  la  fi che  de  la  prise,  retirer  l’objet  coincé 
avant de pouvoir continuer son travail.
Cet  appareil  porte  un  disjoncteur  de  surcharge  intégré 
qui protège l’engrenage contre toute détérioration méca-
nique en cas de blocage des couteaux.

11. Entreposage du taille-haies après utilisation

Le taille-haie doit être entreposé de manière à ce que 
personne ne puisse se blesser au contact des lames !

Important  :
  la  lame  doit    être    nettoyée    après  chaque  
utilisation 
(voir  aussi  point  8.entretien). 
(voir  aussi  point  8.entretien). 
Ceci  infl uencera 
positivement    la    durée    de    vie  de  l’appareil.  Dans    la 
mesure  du    possible,  le  graissage  se  fera    à  l’aide  d’un  
lubrifi ant  écologique, un  spray  de  service, par  exemple. 
Replacez ensuite le taille haie dans son étui.

12. Service de réparation
Les réparations des outils électriques devront être uniquement 
effectuées par un électricien spécialisé. Veuillez décrire l’erreur 
constatée lorsque vous envoyez l’appareil en réparation.
13. Recyclage et protection de l’environnement
Au  cas  où  votre  appareil  devenait  un  jour  inutilisable  ou 
si  vous  n’en  aviez  plus  l’usage,  ne  jetez  en  aucun  cas 
l’appareil  avec  les  déchets  ménagers,  mais  veillez  à  un 
recyclage conforme aux principes écologiques.
Allez déposer l’appareil dans un centre de recyclage. Les 
éléments  en  matière  synthétique  et  en  métal  seront  sé-
parés  et  réutilisés.  Votre  commune  ou  l’administration  ur-
baine vous fourniront tous les renseignements à ce sujet.

 2. Allgemeiner Sicherheitshinweis         
Angaben  zur  Geräuschemission  gemäß  Maschinen-
lärminformationsverordnung  3.  GPSGV  bzw.  Maschinen-
richtlinie: Der Schalldruckpegel am Arbeitsplatz kann 85 dB 
(A) überschreiten. In dem Fall sind Schallschutzmaß-
nahmen  für  den  Bediener  erforderlich  (z.B.  Tragen 
eines Gehörschutzes).
  Bitte  beachten  Sie:  Dieses  Gerät  darf  in  Wohnge-bieten  nach  der  deutschen  Maschinenlärmschutz-verordnung  vom  September  2002  an  Sonn-  und Feiertagen  sowie  an  Werktagen  von  20:00  Uhr  bis 7:00 Uhr nicht in Betrieb genommen werden.   Beachten  Sie  zusätzlich  auch  die  landesrechtlichen Vorschriften zum Lärmschutz !
Jeder Betrieb von Heckenscheren ist mit Unfallgefahen 
verbunden. Beachten Sie deshalb die entsprechenden 
Unfallschutzvorschriften.
Die  Maschine  ist  nach  dem  Stand  der  Technik  und  den 
anerkannten  sicherheitstechnischen  Regeln  gebaut. 
Dennoch können bei ihrer Verwendung Gefahren für Leib und 
Leben  des  Benutzers  oder  Dritter  bzw.  Beeinträchtigungen 
der Maschine und anderer Sachwerte entstehen.
Achtung:  Beim  Gebrauch  von  Elektrowerkzeugen  sind 
zum  Schutz  gegen  elektrischen  Schlag,  Verletzungs- 
und  Brandgefahr  folgende  grundsätzlichen  Sicherheits-
maßnahmen  zu  beachten.  Lesen  und  beachten  Sie 
alle  diese  Hinweise,  bevor  Sie  dieses  Elektrowerkzeug 
benutzen. Bewahren Sie die Sicherheitshinweise gut auf. 
Maschine  nur  in  technisch  einwandfreiem  Zustand 
sowie  bestimmungsgemäß,  sicherheits  und  gefahren-
bewußt  unter  Beachtung  der  Gebrauchsanweisung 
benutzen  !  Insbesondere  Störungen,  die  die  Sicherheit 
beeinträchtigen können, umgehend beseitigen (lassen)!
Diese  Maschine  kann  ernsthafte  Verletzungen 
verursachen.  Lesen  Sie  sorgfältig  die  Gebrauchsan-
weisung  zum  korrekten  Umgang,  zur  Vorbereitung, 
zur  Instandhaltung,  zum  sachgemäßen  Gebrauch 
der  Heckenschere.  Machen  Sie  sich  vor  dem  ersten 
Gebrauch  mit  der  Maschine  vertraut  und  lassen  Sie 
sich auch praktisch einweisen.
      3. Verwendungszweck                                  
Die  Maschine  ist  ausschließlich  zum  Schneiden  von 
Hecken  bestimmt.  Eine  andere  oder  darüber  hinaus-
gehende Benutzung gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß. 
Für hieraus resultierende Schäden haftet der Hersteller / 
Lieferer nicht. Das Risiko trägt allein der Anwender. Zur 
bestimmungsgemäßen  Verwendung  gehört  auch  das 
Beachten der Gebrauchsanweisung und die Einhaltung 
der Inspektions-  und  Wartungsbedingungen. 
Die  Gebrauchsanweisung  ständig  am  Einsatzort  der 
Maschine griffbereit aufbewahren!
4. Sicherheitshinweise                                  
1.  Halten  Sie  Ihren  Arbeitsbereich  in  Ordnung.  Un- ordnung im Arbeitsbereich kann Unfälle zur Folge 
haben.
2.  Berücksichtigen  Sie  Umgebungseinfl üsse.  Setzen  Sie  Elektrowerkzeuge  nicht  dem  Regen  aus.  Be-
nutzen  Sie  Elektrowerkzeuge  nicht  in  nasser  oder 
feuchter Umgebung. Sorgen Sie für gute Beleuch-
tung.  Benutzen  Sie  Elektrowerkzeuge  nicht  in  der 
Nähe von brennbaren Flüssigkeiten oder Gasen.
3.  Halten Sie Kinder fern. Lassen Sie andere Perso- nen  nicht  das  Elektrowerkzeug  oder  das  Kabel 
berühren.  Halten  Sie  andere  Personen  von  Ihrem 
Arbeitsbereich fern.
4.  Bewahren Sie Ihre Elektrowerkzeuge sicher auf. Unbe- nutzte  Elektrowerkzeuge  sollten  an  einem  trockenen, 
hochgelegenen oder abgeschlossenen Ort, außerhalb 
der Reichweite von Kindern abgelegt werden.
5.  Überlasten  Sie  ihr  Elektrowerkzeuge  nicht.  Sie  arbeiten  besser  und  sicherer  im  angegebenen 
Leistungsbereich.     
						

							
6.  Ziehen  Sie  vor  sämtlichen  Arbeiten,  die  Sie  am Gerät  vornehmen,  vor  dem  Säubern  und  zum 
Transport den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
7.  Der  Betrieb  von  Heckenscheren  ist  mit  besonderen 
Gefahren verbunden. Achtung, Gefahr! Umlaufendes 
Werkzeug.
8.  Die  Heckenschere  darf  nur  mit  beiden  Händen 
geführt werden.
9.  Vor  dem  Einsatz  des  Gerätes  Arbeitsfl äche  von 
Fremdkörpern befreien und während des Arbeitens 
auf  Fremdkörper  achten!  Beim  Blockieren  der 
Schneidmesser, z. B. durch dicke Äste usw., muss 
die  Heckenschere  außer  Betrieb  gesetzt  werden 
(Netzstecker  muss    herausgezogen  werden),  erst 
dann  darf  die  Ursache  der  Blockierung  beseitigt 
werden.  Bei  Wiederingangsetzen  ist  besondere 
Vorsicht geboten.
10.  Das  Kabel  der  Heckenschere  und  seine  Verbin- dungen  sind  vor  jedem  Gebrauch  auf  sichtbare 
Mängel  zu  prüfen    (Stecker  gezogen).  Mangel-
hafte Kabel nicht benutzen.
11.  Kabel aus dem Schnittbereich halten.
12.  Schere  nicht  bei  Regen  und  nicht  zum  Schneiden  nasser  Hecken  benutzen.  Gerät  nicht  mit  Wasser 
abspritzen.  Keine  Hochdruckreiniger  oder  Dampf-
strahler zur Reinigung verwenden. 
13.  Schere  an  den  Handgriffen  tragen.  Hände  weg 
von den Scherblättern.
14.  Nach den Bestimmungen der landwirtschaftlichen  Berufsgenossenschaften  dürfen  nur  Personen 
über 17 Jahren Arbeiten mit elektrisch betriebenen 
Heckenscheren  allein  ausführen.  Unter  Aufsicht 
Erwachsener  ist  dies  für  Personen  ab  16  Jahren 
zulässig.
15.  Wir  empfehlen,  bei  der  Arbeit  sichere  Kleidung  zu  tragen  und  dafür  zu  sorgen,  dass  Augen,  Ohren, 
Haare,  Hände  und  Füße  geschützt  sind.  Sie  sollten 
Arbeitshandschuhe, Augen- und Gehörschutz tragen.
16.  Nach Ablegen der Heckenschere und vor Reinigungs- arbeiten  ist  sicherzustellen,  dass  der  Motor  nicht 
unbeabsichtigt eingeschaltet werden kann, z. B. durch 
Betätigen der Einschaltsperre. Unbedingt Netzstecker 
ziehen!
17.  Die Schneideinrichtung ist regelmäßig auf Beschädigung  zu  überprüfen, und sofern solche festgestellt wird, ist 
das Schneidwerkzeug sach-gemäß instandzusetzen.
18.  Beachten Sie Ihre Verantwortlichkeit als Benutzer  gegenüber Dritten  im  Arbeitsbereich.
19.  Die Schere ist sachgemäß zu warten und zu überprüfen.  Die  Messer  dürfen  bei  Beschdigung  nur  paarweise 
ausgewechselt  werden.  Bei  Beschädigung  durch 
Stoß ist fachmännische Überprüfung unumgänglich.
20.  Verwenden  Sie  nur  Verlängerungsleitungen,  die  für  den  Außengebrauch  zugelassen  sind  und  die  nicht 
leichter sind als Gummischlauchleitungen H07 RN-F 
nach DIN/VDE 0282 mit mindestens 1,5 mm
2. Stecker 
und Kupplungen von Verlängerungsleitungen müssen 
spritzwassergeschützt  sein.  Bei  Beschädigung  der 
Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes darf diese nur durch 
eine  vom  Hersteller  benannte  Reparaturwerkstatt 
ersetzt werden, weil Spezialwerkzeug erforderlich ist. 
Ortsveränderliche  Geräte,  die  im  Freien  verwendet 
werden,  sollten  über  Fehlerstromschutzschalter  an-
geschlossen werden.
21.  Verwenden  Sie  das  Kabel  nicht  für  Zwecke,  für  die es nicht bestimmt ist. Tragen Sie das Elektro-
werkzeug  niemals  am  Kabel.  Benutzen  Sie  das 
Kabel  nicht,  um  den  Stecker  aus  der  Steckdose 
zu  ziehen.  Schützen  Sie  das  Kabel  vor  Hitze,  Öl 
und scharfen Kanten.
22.  Sorgen Sie dafür, dass  das Gerät nach Gebrauch 
so  aufbewahrt  wird,  dass  das  Scherblatt  nicht 
berührbar ist (Schutzköcher).
23.  Halten  Sie  das  Gerät  bei  der Arbeit  fest  mit  beiden  Händen,  betreiben  Sie  es  nur  aus  sicherem  Stand. 
Achten  Sie  darauf,  dass  Sie  ausreichend  Freiraum 
bei der Arbeit haben. Es dürfen sich keine Personen, 
Tiere oder Gegenstände im Arbeitsbereich befi nden. 
Wählen  Sie  die  Schnitthöhe  so,  dass  das  Messer 
nicht mit dem Boden in Kontakt kommt und Sie das 
Gerät aus sicherem Stand betreiben können.
24.  Achten  Sie  auf  sicheren  Transport  des  Gerätes  (nur mit Schutzköcher). 
25.  Wir empfehlen, sich bei erstmaligem Gebrauch der  Heckenschere  neben  dem  Lesen  der  Gebrauchs-
anweisung  auch  praktisch  in  den  Gebrauch  des 
Gerätes einweisen zu lassen.
26.  Immer dafür sorgen, dass alle Schutzeinrichtungen  und Handgriffe angebracht sind. 
27.  Niemals  versuchen,  eine  unvollständige  Maschi- ne  zu  benutzen  oder  eine,  die  mit  einer  nicht  ge-
nehmigten Änderung versehen ist.
28.  Niemals Kindern die Benutzung des Elektrowerk- zeugs gestatten.
29.  Der  Gebrauch  der  Heckenschere  ist  zu  vermeiden,  wenn sich Personen, vor allem Kinder, in der Nähe 
befi nden.
30.  Machen  Sie  sich  vertraut  mit  Ihrer  Umgebung  und  achten  Sie  auf  mögliche  Gefahren,  die  Sie  wegen 
des Maschinenlärms vielleicht nicht hören können.
31.  Seien  Sie  aufmerksam.  Achten  Sie  darauf,  was  Sie tun. Gehen Sie mit Vernunft an die Arbeit. Be-
nutzen  Sie  das  Elektrowerkzeug  nicht,  wenn  Sie 
unkonzentriert sind.
32.  ACHTUNG  !  Benutzen  Sie  nur  Zubehör  oder  Zu- satzgeräte, die in der Gebrauchsanweisung aufgeführt 
sind.  Der  Gebrauch  anderer  Einsatzwerkzeuge  und 
anderen  Zubehörs  kann  eine  Verletzungsgefahr  für 
Sie bedeuten.
33.  Lassen Sie Ihr Elektrowerkzeug durch eine Elektrofach- kraft reparieren. Dieses Elektrowerkzeug entspricht  den 
einschlägigen  Sicherheitsbestimmungen.  Reparaturen 
dürfen nur von einer Elektrofachkraft ausgeführt werden, 
indem Originalersatzteile verwendet werden; andernfalls 
können Unfälle für den Betreiber entstehen.
5. Vor Inbetriebnahme
Montage des Bügelgriffes  ( Bild 1)
Wenn Schrauben am Befestigungspunkt eingedreht sind, diese 
entfernen. Danach ist der Bügelgriff wie im Bild 1 dargestellt von 
vorn nach Abnahme des Schutzköchers über das Schersystem 
zu ziehen und in die Aussparung des Heckenscherengehäuses 
einzusetzen. (Dazu, wenn nötig, die unteren Enden des Griffes 
etwas  auseinanderziehen).  Dabei  ist  zu  beachten,  dass  die
