Lift se\ft \fnd rot\fte forw\frd. 2. Using two ½" wrenches disconnect B\OLACK b\fttery c\fble then RED b\fttery c\fble. 3. Position deck to lowe\Ost setting. 4. Front underside of fr\fm\Oe\b remove the nuts th\ft \Osecure the b\fttery hold-down. CAUTION! Always wear eye pr\,otection when around \fatteries. 5. C\frefully remove the b\fttery from the mower. 6. Inst\fll new b\fttery with c\fble termin\fls routed tow\frd the center of the b\ftter\Oy. 7. Reinst\fll b\fttery hold-down \fnd secur\Oe with nuts removed in Step 4. 8. Reconnect RED b\ftter\Oy c\fble to positive (\O+) b\fttery termin\fl with bolt \fnd h\Oex nut. 9. 23 Safety System The m\fchine is equi\Opped with \f s\ffety \Osystem th\ft prevents st\frting or driving unde\Or the following condi\Otions. The engine c\fn only \Obe st\frted when: • the mower deck is d\Oiseng\fged. • the steering / p\frk\O br\fke controls \fre in the outer\b locked neutr\fl position. IMPORTANT INFORMATION \bo \fe a\fle to drive, \,the driver must sit in\, the seat and the \,steering / park \fra\,ke controls must \fe mo\,ved into the engag\,ed (outer) positio\,n. Otherwise the engi\,ne will stop. Park Brake Visu\flly check th\ft n\Oo d\fm\fge is found on t\Ohe steering control levers\b links or swi\Otches belonging to t\Ohe p\frk br\fke. Perform \f st\fndstill test \fnd\O check th\ft there is sufficient br\fki\Ong \fction. To \fdjust the p\frk br\fk\Oe\b cont\fct the Husqv\f\Orn\f service workshop. IMPORTANT INFORMATION DO NO\b add any typ\,e of tire liner or foam \,fill material to th\,e tires. Excessive \,loads created \fy foam fill\,ed tires will caus\,e premature failure\,s. 24 Caster Wheels Check every 200 hours. Check t\Oh\ft wheels rot\fte freely. If wheels do not rot\fte freely t\fke the unit \Oto your de\fler for service. Fo\fm filled tires or solid tires will void the w\fr\Or\fnty. Removal a\bd i\bstallati\eo\b Remove nut \fnd c\fster\O bolt. Pull the whee\Ol out of the yoke \fnd \O t\fke c\fre of the sp\fcers. In\Ost\fll in reverse order. Tighten c\fster bolt. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Adjust anti-scalp \,rollers with the mower on a flat\, level surface. \bo avoid deck damag\,e, the anti-scalp r\,ollers must not \fe \, adjusted to suppor\,t the deck. A\bti-scalp Rollers Anti-sc\flp rollers \fre properly \fdjusted when\O they \fre just slightly off of the ground when the deck i\Os \ft the desired cutting height in t\Ohe oper\fting position\O. Anti-sc\flp rollers then keep the deck in t\Ohe proper position to help\O prevent sc\flping in most terr\fin cond\Oitions. Anti-sc\flp rollers c\fn be set in\O four positions. The \Orollers should be \fpproxim\ftely ¼" (6.5 mm\O) from the ground. Do not \fdjust the rollers to support the deck. V-belts Check every 100 hours of oper\fti\Oon. Check for severe cr\fcking \fnd l\frge n\Oicks. NOTE: The belt will show some small cracks in normal operation. The belts \fre not \fdjust\fble. Rep\Ol\fce belts if they \Obegin to slip from we\fr. Deck Belt Removal 1. P\frk on \f level surf\fce. Apply p\frk br\f\Oke. 2. Lower the deck into \Othe lowest cutting p\Oosition. 3. Remove bolts from belt shields \fnd \Oremove shields. 4. Remove \fny dirt or gr\fss th\ft m\fy h\O\fve \fccumul\fted \fround the cutter housi\Ongs \fnd entire deck surf\fce. 5. Loosen the nut securi\Ong the belt guide. \ONote the position of the belt guide for\O reinst\fll\ftion. 6. Push inw\frd on the idler \frm to rele\fse the tension o\On the belt. 7. C\frefully lift the bel\Ot over the top of the\O cutter housing pulleys \fnd remove belt from the deck. Deck Belt I\bstallati\eo\b NOTE: For ease in installing the deck belt, refer to the routing decal on the top of the deck. 1. Wr\fp the deck belt \fr\Oound the electric cl\Outch pulley loc\fted on the engin\Oe sh\fft. 2. Route the belt forw\fr\Od \fnd up onto the dec\Ok. 3. Pl\fce belt \fround spring lo\fded id\Oler pulley. 4. Wr\fp the belt \fround the st\ftion\fry idler pulley \fnd \O \fround the m\fndrel housings. 5. Push inw\frd on the idler \frm \fnd c\frefully route belt over st\ftion\fry idler pulley. Once the belt is \Oproperly routed\b slowly rele\fse the idler \fr\Om to tension belt. 6. Double check belt routing to m\fke sure it matches the decal affixed to the \edeck\b \fnd the belt does n\Oot h\fve \fny twist. Correct if needed. 7. Tighten the belt gu\Oide \fnd repl\fce belt shields\O on both m\fndrel housings \fnd secur\Oe with f\fsteners. NOTE: The belt guide should be perpendicular to the belt when installation is complete. ©2014 121A
25 Adjusti\bg the Mower \eDeck Leveli\bg deck Adjust the deck whi\Ole the mower is on \f\O level surf\fce. M\fke sure the tires \fre infl\fted to the cor\Orect pressure. See Technical Data / Tr\fnsmission. If tires \fre under or over infl\fted\b the deck c\O\fnnot be properly \fdjusted. R\fis\Oe the deck to the highest (tr\fn\Osport) position. The deck should be \fd\Ojusted slightly hig\Oher in the re\fr. NOTE: To insure accuracy of leveling procedure, mower deck drive belt must be installed prior to leveling deck. 1. We\fr he\fvy gloves. Turn e\fch bl\fde tip to \f\Olign front to re\fr with the deck s\Oide-to-side. 2. Me\fsure from the floor surf\fce up to the bottom \Oof the bl\fde tip on the dis\Och\frge side of the m\Oower deck. Record the me\fsurement. 3. Move to the opposite \Oside\b check th\ft me\O\fsurement is the s\fme. If \fdjustment \Ois required—with \f ¾" or \fdjus\Ot\fble wrench\b turn the lift link \fdj\Oustment nuts on eith\Oer side counter clockwise to \Olower or clockwise to\O r\fise. Adjust until both me\fsurements \fre equ\fl. 4. Turn either bl\fde to \fli\Ogn with the deck f\Oront-to-re\fr. If the front bl\fde tip does not\O me\fsure 1/8" to ½" higher in t\Ohe re\fr—with \f 5/8 or \fdjust\fble wrench\b turn the nuts on the front suspension link\fg\Oe. Clockwise r\fises \Othe front of the mower\b counter clockwise w\Oill lower the front. Adjust nuts until re\fr of mower deck is\O positioned level to \O1/8" higher in the re\fr th\fn the side-t\Oo-side me\fsurement. NOTE: This will place the mower deck in a standard measurement position. Depending on the type of grass being mowed or environmental conditions, additional adjustments may be required to achieve the desired cut. NOTE: For illustration, the front foot rest has been removed. The adjustment can be made without removal. ©2014 121A

Avoid spr\fying engine \fnd\O electric\fl componen\Ots with w\fter. For models fitted with a cleanout port, \ftt\fch the quick con\Onect (from the \fccessory p\fcket) to \fny g\frden hose. After mowing\b sn\fp the hose to the\O cle\fnout port \fnd turn on w\fter supply. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Special \flade \folt \,is heat treated. Replace wi\,th a Husqvarna \folt \,if required. Do not \, use lower grade ha\,rdware than specifi\,ed. Cutti\bg Blades For the best mowing \Oresults\b it is import\fnt th\ft bl\fdes \fre well sh\frpened \fnd not d\fm\O\fged. Repl\fce bl\fdes th\ft \Oh\fve been bent or cr\f\Ocked when hitting \O obst\fcles. Let the service wor\Okshop decide whethe\Or \f bl\fde with l\frge\O nicks c\fn be rep\fired/ground or must be repl\fced. B\fl\fnce the bl\fdes \ffter sh\f\Orpening. Check the bl\fde mount\Os. CAUTION! Blades are sharp\,. Protect your hand\,s with gloves and/or\, wrap \flades with a\, heavy cloth when handling. \bhe sharpening of \fl\,ades should \fe carr\,ied out \fy an authorized serv\,ice workshop. Blade replaceme\bt 1. Remove bl\fde bolt by t\Ourning counter clockwise. 2. Inst\fll new or resh\frpened bl\fde wit\Oh st\fmped GRASS SIDE f\fcing tow\frds ground/gr\fss (down) or \bHIS SIDE UP f\fcing deck \fnd cut\Oter housing. 3. Se\ft the bl\fde's open\Oing firmly onto the cutter \Ohousing. 4. Tighten bl\fde bolt se\Ocurely. 5. Torque bl\fde bolt to 45-6\O0 ft/lbs (60-81 Nm)\O. Rest\frt the mower \fnd eng\f\Oge the bl\fdes to use \Othe spinning \fction to w\fsh \fw\fy de\Obris. M\fke sure the hose is \fw\fy f\Orom the mower bl\fdes. Do not rinse hot surf\fces with cold w\fte\Or. Let unit cool before w\fshing. Hardware Check d\fily. Inspect the enti\Ore m\fchine for loose or\O missing h\frdw\fre. CAUTION! 27 Ge\beral Remove the ignition \Okey to prevent unintention\fl \Omovements during lubric\ftion. When lubric\fting wit\Oh \fn oil c\fn\b it must\O be filled with engi\One oil. When lubric\fting wit\Oh gre\fse\b unless otherwis\Oe st\fted\b use \f high gr\fde molybdenum\O disulphide gre\fse. For d\fily use\b the m\f\Ochine should be lubri\Oc\fted twice weekly. Wipe \fw\fy excess gr\Oe\fse \ffter lubric\ftion\O. It is import\fnt to \fvoid getting\O lubric\fnt on the bel\Ots or the drive surf\fces of the belt pul\Oleys. Should this h\f\Oppen\b \fttempt to cle\fn the\Om with spirits. If\O the belt continues \Oto slip \ffter cle\fning\b the \Obelt must be repl\fced. 29 Wi\bter Storage The m\fchine should be\O re\fdied for stor\fge \ft\O the end of the mowing se\fson or if i\Ot will not be in use\O for more th\fn 30 d\fys. Fuel \fllowed to st\fnd\O for long periods of \Otime (30 d\fys or more) c\fn le\fve sticky\O residues th\ft c\fn plu\Og the c\frburetor \fnd disrupt engine \Ofunction. Fuel st\fbilizers \fre \fn \fccept\fble option\O to prevent the sticky residues th\ft c\fn occu\Or during stor\fge. Add st\fbilizer to th\Oe fuel in the t\fnk \Oor in the stor\fge con\Ot\finer. Alw\fys use the mixi\Ong r\ftios specified b\Oy the m\fnuf\fcturer of the st\fbilizer. Run the engine for\O \ft le\fst ten minute\Os \ffter \fdding the st\fbilize\Or so th\ft it re\fches the c\frburetor. Do not empty the fuel t\fnk\O \fnd the c\frburetor if st\fbilizer h\O\fs been \fdded. To re\fdy the m\fchine for\O stor\fge: 1. Thoroughly cle\fn the m\fch\Oine\b especi\flly unde\Or the mower deck. Touch up d\fm\fge to the \Op\fint \fnd spr\fy \f thin l\fyer of oil on\O the underside of th\Oe mower deck to \fvoid corrosion. 2. Inspect the m\fchine\O for worn or d\fm\fged p\frts \fnd tighten \fny nuts or \Oscrews th\ft m\fy h\fve be\Ocome loose. 3. Ch\fnge the engine oi\Ol; dispose of properly. 4. Empty the fuel t\fnk\Os or \fdd \f fuel st\fbil\Oizer. St\frt the engine \fnd \fllow it \Oto run until the c\frb\Ouretor is dr\fined of fuel or the st\fbilize\Or h\fs re\fched the c\frburetor. 5. Remove the sp\frk plu\Og \fnd pour \fbout \f t\fble\Ospoon of engine oil into the \Ocylinder. Turn over the engine s\Oo th\ft the oil is evenly d\Oistributed \fnd then \Orefit the sp\frk plug.\O 6. Lubric\fte \fll gre\fse zerks\b joints \fn\Od \fxles. 7. Remove the b\fttery. Cle\fn\b ch\frge \fnd \Ostore the b\fttery in \f cool pl\fce\b but protect it from direct cold. 8. Store the m\fchine in \f \Ocle\fn\b dry pl\fce \fnd cover it\O for extr\f protection. Service When ordering sp\fre p\frts\b ple\fse specify \Othe purch\fse ye\fr\b model\b type\b \fnd seri\O\fl number. Alw\fys use genuine H\Ousqv\frn\f sp\fre p\frts. An \fnnu\fl check-up \ft\O \fn \futhorized servic\Oe workshop is \f good w\fy to ensure th\ft your m\fchine p\Oerforms its best the following se\fson. WARNING! Never store an e\,ngine with fuel in \,the tank indoors or in\, poorly ventilated\, spaces where fuel \,vapor can come in contac\,t with open flames, \,sparks, or a pilot \, light such as in a\, \foiler, hot water tank, c\,lothes dryer, etc. Handle the fuel wit\,h care. It is very \,flamma\fle and can cause serious pers\,onal injury and pr\,operty damage. Drai\,n the fuel into an ap\,proved container o\,utdoors and store \,far away from open flame\, or sources of igni\,tion. Never use gasoline for cleani\,ng. Use a degreaser and warm\, water. ©2014 A
