Tray 1 Tray 1 is accessed from the front of the product. The product prints from Tray 1 before trying to print from other trays. Media guides ensure that the media is correctly fed into the product and that the print is not skewed (crooked on the media). Manual feed You can use manual feed when printing mixed media. For example, you can use manual feed to print an envelope, and then a letter, and then an envelope, and so on. Load envelopes in Tray 1 and load letterhead in Tray 2. To print using manual feed, open the product Properties or Printer Setup, and then select Manual Feed (tray 1) from the Source Tray drop-down list. Use paper output options The product has two output locations: the top (standard) output bin and the straight-through paper path (rear output). Print to the top (standard) output bin The top output bin collects paper face-down, in the co rrect order. The top output bin should be used for most print jobs, including transparencies.
