Load Tray 5 This tray is preconfigured to hold up to 4,000 sheets (8 reams) of either Letter-size or A4-size paper. You cannot change this size setting. 1. Open the Tray 5 top door, and load the paper. Load whole reams at a time. Load special types of paper The following table provides guidelines for loading special types of paper. Use the correct paper-type setting in the printer driver to obtain the best print quality. NOTE: In the Windows printer driver, adjust the paper type on the Paper tab in the Type is drop-down list. Copy You can scan original documents by using the document feeder or the scanner glass. The device has several options available for customizing copied output. Copy from the document feeder The document feeder holds a maximum of 100 sheets of paper. 1. Copy mixed-size originals You can copy original documents that are printed on different sizes of paper as long as the sheets of paper have one common dimension, and that dimensio n is not greater than 297 mm (11.7 inches).
