To print envelopes from the envelope slot (Mac OS)
1On the File menu, click Page Setup.
2In the Page Size pull-down menu, select the envelope size.
3Change any other settings and click OK.
4On the File menu, click Print and click OK.
5When the Resume light on the printer blinks, insert one envelope with the flap facing 
upwards into envelope slot. Ease the envelope or card to the right edge.
6Press the   (resume button) on the printer to continue printing.

6In the Ty p e pull-down menu, select the specific type of envelope or card you are using 
(such as HP Glossy Greeting Card Paper).
7Change any other settings if necessary, then click OK.
Printing on transparencies
You can print transparencies from Tray 1. For best results, use HP Premium Plus Inkjet 
Transparency Film, which is specifically designed to work with the printer, or other 
transparency film that is designed for inkjet printers.
To load transparencies
1Remove all media from Tray 1....

To print transparencies (Mac OS X)
1On the File menu, click Page Setup.
2In the Paper Size pull-down menu, select size, change any other settings, and click OK.
3On the File menu, click Print.
4On the Paper Type/Quality panel, select the Paper tab.
5In the Paper type pull-down menu, select the transparency type you are using.
6Still on the Paper tab, select Best.

To print custom-size media (Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x)
1On the File menu, click Page Setup.
2In the Page Size pull-down menu, click Edit Custom Paper Sizes.
3In the Name box, type a name for this custom page size.
4In the Width and Height boxes, type the dimensions and click Add.
5Click Done.
6On the File menu, click Print. 
7Open the Page Setup dialog box and select the name that you gave this custom page 
size. 
8Change any other settings if necessary.
9Print the document.

Using myPrintMileage
myPrintMileage keeps track of your printer usage information to help you plan the purchase of 
consumables. It consists of two parts:
zmyPrintMileage website.
zmyPrintMileage Agent. (This is a utility installed on your computer with the Toolbox. The 
Agent is activated during installation of the printer software only if you choose to 
participate.)

Using the HP Inkjet Utility
