50 TRANSPORTING/STORAGE TRANSPORTING Take care not to drop or strike the generator when transporting. Do not place heavy objects on the generator. To prevent fuel spillage when transporting, the generator should be secured upright in its normal operating position, with the engine switch OFF and the fuel tank cap vent lever turned fully counterclockwise to the ‘‘OFF’’position. Crank the engine several revolutions to distribute the oil, then reinstall the spark plug. Reinstall the spark plug cap on the spark plug securely. Reinstall the spark plug maintenance cover. 57 INITIAL USE INSTRUCTIONS ADDING ENGINE OIL WITHOUT OIL Do not overfill the engine with oil.
