Coolant should be replaced by your Honda
dealer, unless you have the proper tools
and service data and are mechanically
qualified. Refer to the official Honda
Service Manual (page ).

Always add coolant to the reserve tank.
Do not attempt to add coolant by
removing the radiator cap.

If the upper clutch cable adjuster is
threaded out near its limit, or the correct
freeplay cannot be obtained, attempt
adjustment with the lower clutch cable
adjuster.
Tighten the lower lock nut and check

Start the engine, pull the clutch lever in,
and shift into gear. Make sure the
engine does not stall and the motorcycle
does not creep. Gradually release the
clutch lever and open the throttle. Your
motorcycle should move smoothly and
accelerate gradually.
Lubricate the clutch cable with a
commercially available cable lubricant
to prevent premature wear and
corrosion. Check the clutch cable for kinks or

range can cause engine damage.
This motorcycle uses spark plugs that have
an iridium coated center electrode.
Be sure to observe the f ollowing when
