If you do not have an Internet service provider, the update utility works by direct-dialing the device driver update service. 218 Chapter 15: Upgrading Your Tablet PC www.gateway.com Adding and removing a PC Card Your tablet PC has one PC Card slot (also known as a PCMCIA card slot). This slot accepts one Type II card. You do not need to restart your tablet PC when changing most cards because your tablet PC supports hot-swapping. Hot-swapping means that you can insert a PC Card while your tablet PC is running.
