onsumption when it remains unused for a certain 
time.
To configure the Power saving mode, do the following:

When the position of the scanned image is not correct or the image is el\
ongated, use the following procedure to adjust the 
Offset and the Scan scale for correction.

 8.4 Multifeed Detection
 
 
 
Multifeed is a feeding error that occurs when two or more sheets in th\
e ADF paper chute are fed simultaneously into the 
scanner. 
If you continue scanning document without knowing this multifeed error, \
you could skip some of important data while scanning 
the document. 
The Multifeed Detection function this scanner provides can prevent such \
troubles.

 Check Overlapping(Ultrasonic)
  Detects multifeeds by checking for document overlapping. 
When this option is selected, the following two more detection options c\
an be set:
l     You can specify the multifeed detection range by the length from the lea\
