 Document Type
The following paper types are recommended for document use:
 
l     Woodfree paper
l     Wood containing paper
 
When using documents of paper type other than the above, check whether o\
r not the document can be scanned by test-
scanning a few sheets before executing the actual document.  
Any other paper types of documents can be scanned through the Flatbed....

 ATTENTION
 
l     Carbonless paper contains chemical substances that may harm the Brake ro\
ller or 
paper-feeding rollers (e.g. Pick roller) when documents are fed. Pay a\
ttention to the 
following:   
Cleaning: 
If document jams occur frequently, clean the Brake roller and the Pick r\
oller.  
For details on cleaning the Brake roller and the Pick roller, see Chapte\
r

Replacing parts: 
The service life of the Brake roller and the Pick roller may be shortene\
d compared to

 Thickness: 0.056 inches / 1.4 mm or less
 Material: PVC (Poly vinyl chloride) or PVCA (Polyvinyl chloride acetate)
Note: Before scanning your card, test with a dummy card of the same mate\
rial to 
see if it can be fed into the ADF properly. 
l     Cards that are excessively rigid or less flexible may not feed smoothly \
and excessive 
noise may occur.  
Note: If the cards do not feed smoothly, try: 
- Scanning one card at a time.

 7.5 Multifeed Detection Conditions 
 
 
There are three multifeed detection modes: document overlapping, documen\
t length, and both document thickness and length. 
The following conditions must be satisfied in each of these detection mo\
des.
 Detection by Document Overlapping
 Sheets of the same thickness shall be set in the ADF at a time.

 8.1 Scanner Settings
 
 
 
The Software Operation Panel (SOP) will be installed together with the\
 scanner driver (TWAIN/ISIS). 
With this application, you can configure settings and functions for the \
fi-6130 and the fi-6230.
 
 Start up the Software Operation Panel
    
 1.  Confirm if the scanner is connected correctly to the PC, then power on t\
he scanner.
   
 
2.  From the [Start] menu, select [All...
