OFF MACRO To focus at close distances, press the select or up to choose a macro mode from the options listed below. At default settings, macro mode selection is assigned to the up button on the selector (function button 2). Macro mode is available only with the electronic viewfinder and LCD monitor. If the optical viewfinder or dual optical viewfinder/electronic range finder is on when macro mode is selected, the camera will automatically switch to the electronic viewfinder. The LCD monitor and electronic viewfinder can be used at short ranges without first enabling macro mode, but the camera may take longer to focus.
