Connecting Your Camera Directly
PictBridge and USB Direct Print let you print your photos by connecting your 
digital camera directly to the Stylus Photo RX700. 
Make sure your photos meet these requirements:
■JPEG files or uncompressed Tiff files only
■Resolutions ranging from 120 × 120 to 4600 × 4600 pixels 
■No more than 999 photos on your camera (you can have additional photos, 
but the printer can read only the first 999)

8. When you have finished selecting your print settings, press OK.
9. Use your camera to select the photos you want to print, adjust any necessary 
settings, and print your photos. See your camera’s manual for details. 
Note: 
Be sure to make the desired print settings on your camera, because its settings 
generally take precedence over those on the RX700. If your camera is not 
compatible with PictBridge or USB Direct Print, you’ll see a message saying that

Selecting a Photo and Printing a Template
1. Load a memory card (see page 28).

■Select the type of paper you loaded, as listed below:
■Select the desired layout. You can print your photos with or without 
borders (so they go all the way to the edges of each card), and with or 
without cutting lines. 
■Select from 1 to 10 copies. (Each copy can be cut into three cards, so 
select 1 copy if you want 3 cards, 2 copies for 6 cards, etc.)
3. In the box at the bottom of the sheet, add a 
message to be printed on the card beside

4. Place the template selection sheet face-down on the scanner glass, so that the 
top edge of the sheet is aligned with the left edge of the glass.

Printing on CDs and DVDs
Your RX700 includes a special tray that lets you print customized text, graphics, 
and photos directly on any ink-jet printable CD or DVD. You can use both 
regular 12-cm disks and 8-cm mini CDs. 
Caution: 
Use only ink jet-printable CDs or DVDs for printing. Do not use thermal-printable or 
regular CDs or DVDs.

retailer or a web site such as www.pcmall.com, www.cdw.com,

Loading a Disk
Make sure the data, music, or video is burned on your ink-jet printable CDs or 
DVDs before you print. Otherwise, dirt or scratches on the surface may cause 
errors when you burn the data. If you plan to print large numbers of disks, it’s a 
good idea to print a small sample, then wait a day and check the quality to make 
sure it is satisfactory.

Use only CDs or DVDs designed for printing with ink jet printers.
