49 Cleaning the lens■Use a commercially available blower or lens cleaning paper (for glasses and camera lenses) for cleaning the lens. Do not use any liquid type cleaning agents, as they may wear off the coating film on the surface of the lens. ■ As the surface of the lens can easily get damaged, be careful not to scrape or hit the lens. 50 Maintenance Indicators About the lamp indicator ■When the remaining lamp life becomes 5% or less, (yellow) and “Change The Lamp” will be displayed on the screen. When the percentage becomes 0%, it will change to (red), the lamp will automatically turn off and then the projector will automatically enter standby mode. 52 Regarding the Lamp Lamp■It is recommended that the lamp (sold separately) be replaced when the remaining lamp life becomes 5% or less, or when you notice a significant deterioration in the pictur\ e and color quality. 53 Removing and Installing the Lamp Unit •Do not touch the glass surface of the lamp unit or the inside of the projector. •T o avoid injury to yourself and damage to the lamp, make sure you carefully follow the steps below. • Do not loosen other screws except for the lamp unit cover and lamp unit. Press STANDBY/ON on the projec- tor or STANDBY on the remote control to put the projector into standby mode. •W ait until the cooling fan stops.
