1-4 Dell Latitude CP and CPi Service Manual ,QGLFDWRU3DQHO )LJXUH ,QGLFDWRU 3DQHO The Latitude CP or CPi computer has three indicators on the display assem- bly’s indicator panel and three on the keyboard assembly. The following subsections describe the functions of these indicators. 3RZHU,QGLFDWRU The power indicator is a green LED. After the computer is turned on, the power indicator lights up constantly to indicate that the computer is receiving stable power. If the power indicator is off, the computer is either in suspend mode (or standby mode for Windows 98), suspend-to-disk mode, or off. ULYH$FWLYLW\,QGLFDWRU The drive activity indicator is a green LED. The indicator lights up when data is being transferred to or from the hard-disk drive, or to or from a diskette drive, CD-ROM drive, or other device installed in the modular bay. %DWWHU\,QGLFDWRU The battery indicator displays the following conditions: ‡The indicator turns green while the AC adapter is fast-charging. During the normal charging cycle, the indicator remains on without blinking.
