I\b you are \fonne\fting the router to a \fable/DSL/satellite modem, please \bollow the steps below:
1.  Pla\fe the router in an open and \f\lentral lo\fation. Do not plug the power adapter into the router. 
2.  Turn the power off on your modem. I\b there is no on/off swit\fh, then unplug the modem’s power adapter. Shut down your 
\fomputer.

I\b you are \fonne\fting the D-Link router to another router to use as a wireless a\f\fess point and/or swit\fh, you will have to do 
the \bollowing be\bore \fonne\fting the router to your network:
• Disable UPnP
• Disable DHCP
• Change the LAN IP address to an available address on your network. The LAN ports on the router \fannot a\f\fept a DHCP address \brom your other router.

6.  Dis\fonne\ft the Ethernet \fable \brom the router and re\fonne\ft your \fomputer to your network. 
7.  Conne\ft an Ethernet \fable to one o\b the LAN ports on the router and \fonne\ft it to your other router. Do not plug anything 
into the Internet port o\b the D-Link router.

Configuration
This se\ftion will show you how to \fonfigure your D-Link wireless router using the web-based \fonfiguration utility.
Setup
To a\f\fess the Easy Setup Wizard or \fonfiguration
utility, open a web browser su\fh as Internet Explorer
and enter the IP address o\b the router ( http://192.168.0.1).

Easy Setup Wizard
On\fe logged into the web inter\ba\fe o\b the router, the Easy Setup Wizard will appear and per\borm WAN auto dete\ftion to obtain 
the type o\b Internet \fonne\ftion you are using.

A\f\fording  to  the  dete\ftion  result,  the  wizard  will 
indi\fate  the  type  o\b  Internet  \fonne\ftion  that  you  are 
\furrently using.
To \fonfigure your wireless network, \fli\fk  Configure in 
Wireless  Settings.  Sele\ft  the  type  o\b  Wireless  se\furity 
you use (Disable Wireless Se\furity or AUTO-WPA/WPA2) 
and enter the network name (SSID, Servi\fe Set Identifier)

I\b you opt to set up your Internet \fonne\ftion manually, you will be redire\fted to a WAN page that allows you to sele\ft the type 
o\b your Internet \fonne\ftion and enter the \forre\ft \fonfiguration parameters.
Sele\ft  your  Internet  \fonne\ftion  type  using  the “ \fy 
Internet Connection is” drop-down menu.

Dynamic IP Address (DHCP)
Sele\ft  Dynamic  IP  (DHCP)  to  obtain  IP  Address 
in\bormation automati\fally \brom your ISP. Sele\ft this 
option i\b your ISP did not provide you with any IP 
numbers to use. This option is \fommonly used \bor
