Reference Guide4–1 4 Using Software You can use the applications on your Compaq iPAQ Pocket PC H3800 Series to: Open or create Word documents Open or create Excel workbooks Read eBooks with Microsoft Reader Use Pocket Word You can create new Word documents from your iPAQ Pocket PC or synchronize existing Word documents from your computer to your iPAQ Pocket PC. Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 converts Word documents into the Pocket Word format and changes the .doc extension to a .psw extension. Ä CAUTION: Because ActiveSync 3.5 converts Word documents into the Pocket Word format, you may lose some formatting from the original Word document. Documents in the iPAQ File Store are held in ROM and will not be lost if you perform a hard reset of your iPAQ Pocket PC or if the battery loses its charge. The iPAQ File Store can store between 5 and 6 MB of information, depending on the model.
