							Participate in Chat Rooms
Afteryoujoinachatroom,youcanparticipateinitandviewthediscussionhistory.
Procedure
Step 1SelecttheChatRoomicononthehubwindow,andselectMyRoomstoviewtheroomswhereyouareamember.
Step 2Double-clickontheroomthatyouwanttoenter.
Step 3Viewthecurrentparticipantlistontherightsideofthechatwindow.Youcanshoworhidetheparticipantlist.
Step 4Readthediscussionandenteryourownchatmessages.Thehistoryoftheconversationispersistent.Whenyouexitthe
chatroomandclosetheclient,youcanreturntotheconversationinthatroom.Whenyoureturntothechatroom,youcan
viewthemessagesthatweresentbyothermemberswhileyouwerenotloggedin.Fromthechatroom,selectShowMore
toviewoldermessages.
Filter Chat Rooms
Youcancreatenotificationsinchatroomsthattellyouwheneverakeywordisused,oracertainusermakesacomment,oryour
usernameismentioned.Thesenotificationsarebasedonfilters.Filterssearchchatroomusingthecriteriathatyoudefineforthe
search.Soafteryoucreateafilter,thenyougetnotifiedaboutanyconversationsthathappeninthechatroomsthatmatchyourfilter
criteria.Youseearednotificationonthehubwindowwhichdisplaysthenumberofnewmatchesfoundforyourfilter.Filterscan
includementionswhenyourusernameisusedinachatroom,orcustomfiltersthatsearchbykeywordorsender.
Procedure
Step 1Intheclient,selectChatRooms>Filters,thenselectCreateFilter.
Step 2Givethefilteralabelandthendefinethefiltercriteria.Youcanfilterchatroomsusinguptothreekeywordsorbyusername.
Youmustdefineatleastonekeywordortheusernameofthesender,butyoucanspecifythesenderanduptothree
keywords.
Step 3SelectCreate.
ResultsarelistedontheFiltertab,withanumbertoindicatehowmanyresultswerefoundthatyouhavenotread.Results
areupdatedautomaticallyeachtimeanewmatchforyourfilterismade.Whenyouhavematchesonyourfilter,youcan
clickonthefiltermatchtoopenthechathistoryintheroomswherethematcheswerefound.
Mentioning Users in Chat Rooms
Whenotherusersmentionyourusername,itcreatesanotificationintheMymentionssectionofyourchatroomfilters.Mentioning
otherusersnotifiesthemthattheywerementionedinachatroom.
Before You Begin
Usersonlyreceiveanotificationifthechatroomispublicandtheuserispartoftheorganization,ortheyareamemberofthechat
room.
Mentionsmustbeenabledbyyoursystemadministrator.

Search Chat Rooms
Youcansearchchatroomsbykeywords,andfurtherrefineyourkeywordsearchwithcriteriasuchasparticipants,roomname,and
daterange.
Before You Begin
Youmustbeamemberofthechatroomsforyoursearchtobecompleted.
Procedure
Step 1Intheclientwindow,selecttheChatRoomsicon,thenselecttheFilterstab.
Step 2Entersearchcriteriainasearchbox,justlikeyousearchforcontactsinyourCiscoJabberhubwindow.Thefollowing
restrictionsapplytochatroomsearches:
•Thesearchincludestheperiodfromwhenyoujoinedachatroomuntilthepresentday.
•Thesearchdoesnotworkforspecialcharacters,unlessyouaddletterstothesearchstringaswell.
Step 3Doubleclickonaresulttoopenthepersistentchatroomwherethesearchgotamatch.
Resultsaresortedchronologicallyandgroupedbyroom.Themaximumnumberofresultsdisplayedis200,althoughyoucanshow
moremessagestodisplayolderresults.

Control Far-End Cameras

isenabledforcontrol.Whenyouselecttheicon,dependingonthewaythatthecallisconnected,youcaneitheruseittomovethe
far-endcameraorchangetheconferencelayoutofvideoscreens.
Ifyoucallaunitorpersondirectlythathasadevicewithacontrollablecamera,youcancontrolthefar-endcameraevenifmultiple
peoplecallintothatdeviceatonetime.However,ifyoucallaCiscobridge,thenyoucanonlycontroltheconferencelayoutby
selectinghowyouwantthevariouscamerastobedisplayedonyourconferencecall.
