Removing fingerprints, smudges, or oil from the lamp Remove fingerprints, smudge, or oil from the lamp to ensure optimum image brightness. 1. Brush most of the dust off with a camelhair brush or use a dust-free blower. 2. Fold a microfiber cloth and wipe the remaining dust particles off the lamp with the smoothportion of the cloth that has no folds or creases. Do not apply finger pressure. Instead, use the tension in the folded cloth to remove the dust. Inspecting and cleaning optics Inspect and clean optical components such as the projection lens or reflector to ensure optimum image display. Unnecessary cleaning of optics can increase the risk of degrading delicate coatings and surfaces. The reflector and projection lens may be inspected and cleaned as per the following instructions. A small amount of dust or dirt on the lens has minimal effect on image quality-to avoid the risk of scratching the lens, clean the lens only if absolutely required. Notice. F ailure to comply with the following may result in property damage.
2. Disengage the carabiner from the eyebolt on the front face of the projector to detach the lens safet y cable, if installed. 3. Attach a large lens cap to the front of the lens to avoid damage. 4. Remove the lens from the lens mount by sliding it outwards. 5. Release the lens locking lever (up position). 6. Pull the lens straight out and attach a small lens cap to the rear of the lens to avoid damage. 7. Attach the lens safety cable between the ring clamp on the lens and the eyebolt. The lens safety cable is provided with the Roadie 4K or Mirage 4K-R lenses. Only use this lens safety cable. Warning! F ailure to comply with the following could result in death or serious injury .
