Replace the laminar airflow device filter
The laminar airflow device (LAD) filter is attached  to the light engine assembly handle in the light 
engine compartment. Inspect the LAD filter every six months.
1. Shut down the projector. 
2. Unlock and remove the front top cover.
3. Unlock and remove the light engine lid.
4. Remove the two screws securing the laminar airflow device filter (LAD) assembly to the bracket.

1. Shut down the projector, disconnect from power, and let it cool. 
2. Put on the protective clothing and face shield.
3. Use the key to open the lamp door and access the lamp compartment. 
Do not lean, or place heavy objects on the open lamp door.

2. Fold a microfiber cloth and wipe the remainin g dust particles off the lamp with the smooth 
portion of the cloth that has no folds or creases.  Do not apply finger pressure. Instead, use the 
tension in the folded cloth to remove the dust.

Remove fingerprints, smudges, or oil from the projection lens
1. Brush most of the dust off with a camelhair brush or use a dust-free blower.
2. Wrap a lens tissue around a swab and soak it  in lens cleaning solution. The tissue should be 
damp but not dripping.
3. Gently wipe the surface using a figure eight motion. 
4. Repeat until the blemish is removed. Clea n the lens only if absolutely required.

Calibrate the lens motors
If the lens motors are not calibrate d properly, implications may include:
• Incorrect reporting of the lens motor position.
• Inability to use the full range of the lens motors.
• Lens motors traveling outside of the pre-defined keep-out area.
• Damage to the projector.

should be replaced.
• Check for a cross-connected condition. A cross-connection hazard can occur when installin g multiple projectors at once. A fire hazard 
exists if a lamp power supply interlock cable is  connected to a different projector than its lamp 
power cables.

selected or the cables are not plugged into the correct inputs.

Touch panel controller does not connect
If the projector LEDs display so lid yellow and the touch panel controller (TPC) has power but does 
not connect, the projector head is fine. However,  a problem could exist between the TPC and the 
MCPU board.
• Disconnect the corded harness to the TPC and reconnect it. You may need to replace the corded harness.
