Pareiza sveces kontaktu atstarpe: 0,7/-0,8 mm 
6.3 KARBURATORS
Karburators tiek regulēts rūpnīcā. Ja nepieciešams to regulēt, 
sazinieties ar autorizētu servisa darbnīcu. 
7 EĻĻOŠANA
Aizliegts veikt jebkādas apkopes darbības, ja nav 
izpildīts tālāk minētais: 
Apturēts dzinējs. 
Izņemta aizdedzes atslēga. 
- Startera kabelis atvienots no aizdedzes sveces.
Ja instrukcijas nosaka, ka mašīna ir jāpaceļ aiz priekšas un 
jāatbalsta pret gliemežskrūves korpusu, tad ir jāiztukšo 
degvielas tvertne.
Benzīna tvertni iztukšojiet ārpus telpām, kad 
dzinējs ir auksts. Nesmēķējiet! Iztukšojiet 
benzīnam paredzētā  tvertnē.
7.1 IZLĀDES TEKNE
Saeļļojiet izlādes teknes atloku un noregulējiet 
gliemežpārvadu ik pēc 5 darba stundām un pirms ilgstošas 
uzglabāšanas. 
7.2 GLIEMEŽSKRŪVES ASS
Saeļļojiet gliemežskrūves asi, izmantojot ziedes pistoli, caur 
eļļošanas nipeļiem ik pēc 10 darba stundām (13. attēls). 
Saeļļojiet asi ikreiz, kad tiek mainītas nogriežamās skrūves.
Ja mašīna tiek novietota ilgākai uzglabāšanai, izskrūvējiet 
skrūves. Saeļļojiet ar ziedes pistoli, tad, pirms nomainīt 
skrūves, brīvi grieziet gliemežskrūvi uz ass.
7.3 GLIEMEŽPĀRVADS
Gliemežpārvads rūpnīcā tiek piepildīts ar speciālu smērvielu. 
To parasti nav vajadzīgs uzpildīt.
Reizi gadā atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk aizbāzni un pārbaudiet, vai 
gliemežpārvadā ir ziede (15. attēls).
Ja tam ir sūce vai tas ir bijis remontēts, tas jāpiepilda ar 
smērvielu. Gliemežpārvadā satilpst maksimums 92 grami 
smērvielas.
Izmantojiet Shell Darina 1, Texaco Thermatex EP1, 
Mobiltem 78, Benalene #372 Grease vai līdzīgu. 
7.4 SEŠSTŪRA VĀRPSTA
Sešstūra vārpsta, ķēdes zobrats un ķēdes nav jāeļļo. Visi 
gultņi un iemavas ir saeļļoti kalpošanas laikam un tiem nav 
vajadzīga apkope.
Eļļojot šīs daļas, ziede var nokļūt uz berzes riteņiem un diska 
piedziņas plātnes un sabojāt gumijas berzes riteni.
Novietojot mašīnu ilgstošā glabāšanā iepriekš minētās daļas 
ir viegli jāsaeļļo, noslaukot tās ar eļļainu lupatu, lai pasargātu 
no rūsēšanas. 
8 APKOPE UN REMONTS
Aizliegts veikt jebkādas apkopes darbības, ja nav 
izpildīts tālāk minētais: 
Apturēts dzinējs. 
Izņemta aizdedzes atslēga. 
- Startera kabelis atvienots no aizdedzes sveces.
Ja instrukcijas nosaka, ka mašīna ir jāpaceļ aiz priekšas un 
jāatbalsta pret gliemežskrūves korpusu, tad ir jāiztukšo 
degvielas tvertne.
Benzīna tvertni iztukšojiet ārpus telpām, kad 
dzinējs ir auksts. Nesmēķējiet! Iztukšojiet 
benzīnam paredzētā tvertnē.
8.1 SKRĒPERA NAŽA REGULĒŠANA 
Ilgstoši ekspluatējot, skrēpera naži nodilst.
Noregulējiet skrēpera nazi (vienmēr kopā ar kurpēm)  
Skrēpera nazis ir abpusējs, tādēļ var izmantot abas tā puses. 
8.2 PIEDZIŅAS SIKSNU REGULĒŠANA
Piedziņas siksnas jāpārbauda un, ja nepieciešams, jāregulē 
pirmo reiz pēc 2-4 darba stundām, tad - katras sezonas vidū. 
pēc tam tās jāpārbauda divreiz gadā.
Ja siksnas tiek regulētas vai mainītas, jāregulē arī vadības 
troses (skatīt tālāk).
8.2.1 BRAUKŠANAS PIEDZIŅAS SIKSNA (A poz. 16. 
attēlā)
Siksnai ir spriegotāja skriemelis, kuru darbina atspere. 
Regulēšana nav nepieciešama. Ja siksna slīd, nomainiet to.
8.2.2 GLIEMEŽSKRŪVES PIEDZIŅAS SIKSNA (B poz. 
16. attēls)
1. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (2) un noņemiet siksnas 
pārsegu (1). Skatīt 17. attēlu.
2. Atslābiniet spriegošanas skriemeli (C) un pārvietojiet to 
par 3 mm tuvāk siksnai (16).
3.  Pievelciet spriegošanas skriemeļa uzgriežņus.
4. Pārbaudiet siksnas spriegojumu, nospiežot uz leju 
gliemežskrūves sajūga sviru. Jums ir jāvar bez lielas 
piepūles ar pirkstu paspiest siksnu par aptuveni 12-13 
mm (19. attēls). 
5. Ja ir nepieciešama tālāka regulēšana, atkārtojiet iepriekš 
aprakstīto procedūru.
6. Uzstādiet vietā siksnas aizsardzību. Skatīt 17. attēlu.
8.3 SIKSNU MAINĪŠANA 
Šīs siksnas ir speciāli izstrādātas šai mašīnai. Tās jānomaina 
ar jaunām oriģinālām siksnām, kuras var iegādāties pie jūsu 
mazumtirgotāja vai autorizētā servisa darbnīcā.
Ja siksnas tiek regulētas vai nomainītas, jāregulē arī vadības 
troses (skatīt tālāk).
8.3.1 GLIEMEŽSKRŪVES SIKSNA
1. Noņemiet aizdedzes sveces aizsardzību.
2. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (3) un noņemiet apakšējo 
plātni (2). Skatīt 20. attēlu.
3. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (2) un noņemiet siksnas 
pārsegu (1). Skatīt 17. attēlu.
4. Atslābiniet siksnas vadotni (D) pie dzinēja siksnas diska.

5. Noņemiet no spriegošanas skriemeli (C) no siksnas.

6.  Nomainiet siksnu (E poz. 16. attēlā). PIEZĪME! Drīkst 
izmantot tikai oriģinālas siksnas.
7. Noregulējiet siksnas spriegojumu, ievērojot iepriekš 
sniegtās instrukcijas.

10. Uzstādiet vietā siksnas aizsardzību.

8.3.2 BRAUKŠANAS SIKSNA
1.  Izpildiet iepriekš punktos 1. - 5. aprakstītās darbības.
2. Noņemiet no šūpojošās plātnes ass (18) bloķējošo 
gredzenu (17). Skatiet 23. attēlu. Izvelciet vārpstu tā, lai 
šūpojošā plātne (20) varētu nokrist uz priekšu. Skatīt 23. 
attēlu.
3. Noņemiet atsperi (16. poz., 23. attēls).
4.  Nomainiet siksnu (13. poz., 23. attēls). PIEZĪME! Drīkst 
izmantot tikai oriģinālas siksnas.
5. Pārbaudiet vai spriegošanas skriemelis (12) ir uz vienā 
līnijas ar siksnu (13). Skatīt 23. attēlu.
6. Samontējiet atsperi (16), asi (18) un bloķējošo gredzenu 
(17).
7. Pārbaudiet, vai diska piedziņas plātnes apakšpuse (20) 
atrodas starp atzīmēm (19). Skatīt 21. attēlu.
PIEZĪME! Ja mašīna joprojām nebrauc pareizi, vēlreiz 
pārbaudiet diska piedziņas plātnes (20) novietojumu.
8. Noregulējiet siksnas spriegojumu, ievērojot iepriekš 
sniegtās instrukcijas.
9. Samontējiet siksnas vadotni (D). Skatīt 16. attēlu. 
10. Noregulējiet siksnas spriegojumu, ievērojot iepriekš 
sniegtās instrukcijas.
11. Uzstādiet vietā siksnas aizsardzību. Skatīt 17. attēlu.
8.4 SIKSNAS VADOTNES REGULĒŠANA
1. Noņemiet aizdedzes sveces aizsardzību.
2. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (2) un noņemiet siksnas 
pārsegu (1). Skatīt 17. attēlu.
3. Iedarbiniet gliemežskrūves sajūga sviru (13. poz. 7/8 
attēlā).
4. Pārbaudiet attālumu starp siksnas vadotni un siksnu. 
attālumam jābūt 3 mm. Skatīt 18. attēlu.
5. Ja nepieciešama regulēšana, atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk siksnas 
vadotnes skrūvi un noregulējiet pareizu attālumu.
6. Cieši pieskrūvējiet skrūvi.
7. Uzstādiet vietā siksnas aizsardzību. 
8. Uzstādiet vietā aizdedzes sveces aizsardzību.
8.5 VADĪBAS TROŠU REGULĒŠANA
Ja siksnas tiek regulētas vai nomainītas, jāregulē arī vadības 
troses (skatīt tālāk).
1. Noāķējiet trosi no sajūga sviras (24. attēls).
2. Nospiediet sajūga sviru cik vien iespējams uz priekšu 
(līdz tā pieskaras roktura plastmasas aizsardzībai).3.  Turiet trosi nostieptu un atzīmējiet troses Z-veida gala 
stāvokli.
4.  Ja trose ir pareizi noregulēta, tās galam jābūt sajūga 
sviras atverei pa vidu (24. attēls).
Ja ir nepieciešams regulēt:
5.  Paceliet sniega metēju uz priekšu un atbalstiet to uz 
gliemežskrūves korpusa.
6.  Spiediet trosi cauri atsperei tā, lai parādītos vītņotā daļa 
(22. attēls).
7. Turiet vītņoto daļu un regulējiet uzgriezni augšup vai 
lejup, līdz tiek panākts pareizs iestatījums.
8.  Velciet atkal trosi cauri atsperei. Iekabiniet trosi sajūga 
sviras augšdaļā.
9.  Šo pašu regulēšanu veiciet abās pusēs.
10. Iedarbiniet sniega metēju un pārbaudiet vai tas negriežas, 
kad sajūga svira ir augšējā stāvoklī (= izslēgta). Ja tas tā 
ir, sazinieties ar pilnvarotu servisa darbnīcu. 
8.6 BERZES RITENIS
Ja sniega metējs nekustas uz priekšu, problēmas iemesls 
varētu būt piedziņas siksna, braukšanas vadības trose vai 
berzes ritenis.  Berzes riteni pārbaudiet šādi.
8.6.1 BERZES RITEŅA PĀRBAUDE
1. Noņemiet aizdedzes sveces aizsardzību.
2.  Paceliet sniega metēju uz priekšu un atbalstiet to uz 
gliemežskrūves korpusa.
3. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (3) un noņemiet apakšējo 
plātni (2). Skatīt 20. attēlu.
3. Pārslēdziet kloķi apakšējā pirmajā pārnesumā uz priekšu.
4. Izmēriet attālumu A starp berzes riteni un sānu plātnes 
ārpusi (skatīt 25. attēlu). Attālumam jābūt 109,5 mm.
5. Regulēšanas procedūras tiek veiktas šādi.
6.  Salikšanu veiciet pretējā secībā.
8.6.2 BERZES RITEŅA REGULĒŠANA 
Demontējiet daļas un veiciet mērījumus atbilstoši iepriekš 
punktos 1. līdz 4. sniegtajām instrukcijām.
1. Atskrūvējiet skrūves un iestatiet berzes riteni līdz ir 
panākts iepriekš 4. punktā norādītais mērījums.
2.  Ja berzes ritenis ir tik ļoti nodilis, ka regulēšanu nav 
iespējams veikt apmierinoši, nomainiet to, ievērojot tālāk 
sniegtās instrukcijas.
3. Pretējā gadījumā pēc regulēšanas samontējiet visu, 
izpildot darbības pretējā secībā.
8.6.3 BERZES RITEŅA NOMAINĪŠANA (SNT 929, SNT 
1129)
1. Nomontējiet no ass labo riteni.
2. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (3) un noņemiet apakšējo 
plātni (2). Skatīt 20. attēlu.
3. Izskrūvējiet skrūvi, kas satur ķēdes zobratu (12), izvelciet 
laukā asi (11) un noņemiet ķēdes zobratu (12). Skatīt 26. 
attēlu.
4. Demontējiet divus gultņa stiprinājumus (16. poz., 21. 
attēls).
5. Demontējiet ass un gultņa stiprinājumus. Atzīmējiet divu 
paplākšņu novietojumu (17. poz., 28. attēls).
6.  Uzlieciet berzes riteni uz rumbas (29. attēls).

7. Samontējiet atpakaļ pārējās daļas pretējā secībā. Veicot 
salikšanu, pievērsiet vērību šādiem momentiem:
- Pārbaudiet, vai paplāksnes (17. poz., 28. att.) ir 
novietotas pareizi.
- Pārbaudiet, vai paplāksnes (13. poz., 28. att.) ir 
novietotas pareizi.
- Pārbaudiet, vai ass (8. poz., 29. att.) griežas brīvi.
- Pārbaudiet, vai berzes ritenis un diska plātnes ir pilnīgi 
tīras no eļļas un ziedes.
8.6.4 Byte av friktionshjulet (SN 1129)
1. Demontējiet diferenciālu, skatīt 8.7.2.
2. Demontējiet divus gultņa stiprinājumus (16. poz., 18. 
attēls).
3. Demontējiet ass un gultņa stiprinājumus. Atzīmējiet divu 
paplākšņu novietojumu (17. poz., 23. attēls).
4.  Uzlieciet berzes riteni uz rumbas (29. attēls).
5. Samontējiet atpakaļ pārējās daļas pretējā secībā. Veicot 
salikšanu, pievērsiet vērību šādiem momentiem:
- Pārbaudiet, vai paplāksnes (17. poz., 28. att.) ir 
novietotas pareizi.
- Pārbaudiet, vai paplāksnes (13. poz., 28. att.) ir 
novietotas pareizi.
- Pārbaudiet, vai ass (8. poz., 29. att.) griežas brīvi.
- Pārbaudiet, vai berzes ritenis un diska plātnes ir pilnīgi 
tīras no eļļas un ziedes.
8.7 DIFERENCIĀLS (SN 1129)
8.7.1 Apraksts 
Diferenciālā piedziņas spēks tiek pārnests no ķēžu piedziņas 
caur diviem brīviem zobratiem - pa vienam uz katru asi - uz 
kreiso un labo asi.
Tas nozīmē, ka līkumos ārējais ritenis var griezties ātrāk nekā 
iekšējais.
Pateicoties diferenciālam, sniega metējs var vienkārši 
izbraukt pagriezienus.
Diferenciāls ļauj sniega metējam vieglāk tikt galā ar cietām 
virsmām, piemēram, garāžā vai noliktavā.
8.7.2 Diferenciāla mainīšana (SN 1129)
Skatīt 31. attēlu.
Mainot diferenciālu A, ievērojiet šādas instrukcijas:
1.  Paceliet sniega metēju uz priekšu un atbalstiet to uz 
gliemežskrūves korpusa.
2. Demontējiet riteņus.
3. Atskrūvējiet vaļīgāk skrūves (3) un noņemiet apakšējo 
plātni (2). Skatīt 20. attēlu.
4. Abās pusēs demontējiet gultņu apvalkus (B) ar gultņiem.
5. Palaidiet vaļīgāk vidējo asi (C), izskrūvējot abās pusēs 
gultņu skrūves (D).
6. Atslābiniet ķēdes spriegojumu, palaižot vaļīgāk balsta 
gultņa stiprinājumu (E). Balsta gultņa stiprinājumu 
atslābina, izskrūvējot augšā divas skrūves.
7. Noņemiet no diferenciāla ķēdi.
8. Izvelciet no diferenciāla asis un noņemiet diferenciālu.
9. Pārbaudiet ķēdes. Nomainiet, ja nepieciešams. Ķēdes nav 
jāeļļo. Tās ir saeļļotas rūpnīcā. Pārmērīgs ziedes 
daudzums, nokļūstot līdz berzes ritenim vai diskam, var 
izjaukt berzi.10. Pārbaudiet gultņu atbilstību un to, vai, tiem griežoties, 
neparādās nevienmērīgas berzes pazīmes. Nomainiet, ja 
nepieciešams.
11. Visas daļas samontējiet atpakaļ pretējā secībā.
8.8 NOGRIEŽAMO SKRŪVJU MAINĪŠANA 
Gliemežskrūvi uz vārpstas nostiprina ar speciālām skrūvēm 
(20. poz., 14. att.), kam ir jāpārlūst, ja kaut kas iesprūst 
gliemežskrūves korpusā.
Vienmēr izmantojiet oriģinālās rezerves daļas. 
Citu tipu skrūves var izraisīt nopietnus mašīnas 
bojājumus.
1. Apturiet dzinēju.
2. - Atvienojiet startera kabeli no aizdedzes sveces.
3.  Nodrošiniet, lai visas rotējošās daļas būtu apturētas.
4. Izņemiet gliemežskrūvē iesprūdušo priekšmetu.
5. Saeļļojiet gliemežskrūvi (skatīt iepriekš).
6. Savietojiet gliemežskrūves un ass atveres.
7. Izņemiet bojātās skrūves daļas.
8. Ieskrūvējiet jaunu oriģinālu skrūvi.
8.9 PIEDZIŅAS SIKSNU REGULĒŠANA
Attiecas uz SNT 929, SNT 1129, skatīt 27. att.
Ja piedziņa mašīnai tiek pievadīta nevienmērīgi vai ja 
piedziņas lentes slīd, tas jāpārbauda šādi:
1. Paceliet lenti vidū.
2. Izmēriet attālumu starp piedziņas lenti un atbalsta plātnes 
augšdaļu. Attālumam jābūt 30 mm. 
3. Ja nepieciešams, noregulējiet ar skrūvi (3).
8.10 PRIEKŠĒJĀ LUKTURA SPULDZE
Kā rezerves daļas atļauts izmantot tikai oriģinālas 
27 W spuldzes. Jaudīgākas spuldzes sabojās 
lukturi.
Spuldze lukturī tiek iestiprināta bajonetes tipa ligzdā. Skatīt 
32. att. Lai nomainītu spuldzi, rīkojieties šādi:
1. Pagrieziet spuldzi apm. 30° pretēji pulksteņrādītāja 
virzienam un izvelciet to laukā.
2. Atlaidiet plastmasas stiprinājumus katrā spuldzes pusē un 
novelciet no spuldzes kabeļa savienojumu.
3. Jauno spuldzi ievietojiet, veicot darbības pretējā secībā.

9 UZGLABĀŠANA
Nekad neuzglabājiet sniega metēju ar uzpildītu 
benzīna tvertni šaurās telpās ar sliktu ventilāciju. 
Benzīna izgarojumi var nonākt saskarē ar atklātu 
liesmu, dzirkstelēm, cigaretēm utt.
Ja sniega metējs tiks uzglabāts ilgāk par 30 dienām, 
ieteicams veikt šādus pasākumus: 
1. Iztukšojiet benzīna tvertni.
2. Iedarbiniet dzinēju un ļaujiet tam darboties, līdz tas 
noslāpst benzīna trūkuma dēļ.
Benzīna tvertni iztukšojiet ārpus telpām, kad 
dzinējs ir auksts. Nesmēķējiet! Iztukšojiet 
benzīnam paredzētā tvertnē.
3. Nomainiet dzinējā eļļu, ja tas nav darīts pēdējos trīs 
mēnešus.
4. Izskrūvējiet aizdedzes sveci un ielejiet cilindrā nedaudz 
motoreļļas (aptuveni 30 ml). Pagrieziet dzinēju vairākas 
reizes. Ieskrūvējiet atpakaļ aizdedzes sveci.
5. Rūpīgi notīriet visu sniega metēju.
6. Saeļļojiet visas daļas, kā parādīts iepriekš nodaļā 
EĻĻOŠANA.
7. Pārbaudiet, vai sniega metējam nav bojājumu. Ja 
vajadzīgs, salabojiet.
8. Salabojiet visus krāsojuma bojājumus.
9. Nodrošiniet metāla virsmas pret rūsēšanu.
10. Ja iespējams, uzglabājiet sniega metēju telpās.

2 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 GENERAL
• Please read through these instructions carefully. Learn all 
the controls and the correct use of the machine.
• Never allow children or anyone who is not familiar with 
these instructions to use the snow thrower. Local 
regulations may impose restrictions as regards the age of 
the driver.
• Never use the machine if others, particularly children or 
animals, are in the vicinity. 
• Remember that the driver is responsible for accidents that 
happen to other people or their property.
• Be careful not to trip or fall, especially when reversing 
the machine.
• Never use the snow thrower under the influence of

• Check the area to be cleared and remove any loose or 
foreign objects.
• Disengage all controls before starting the engine.
• Never use the snow thrower unless properly dressed. 
Wear footwear that improves your grip on a slippery 
surface.
• Warning – Petrol is highly inflammable. 
a. Always store petrol in containers that are made 
especially for this purpose.
b. Only fill or top up with petrol outdoors, and never 
smoke when filling or topping up.
c. Fill with petrol before starting the engine. Never 
remove the filler cap or fill with petrol while the engine 
is running or still warm.
d. Screw the filler cap on tightly and wipe up any spilt 
petrol.
• Adjust the height of the auger housing to ensure it stays 
above gravel paths.
• Never, under any circumstances, make adjustments while 
the engine is running (unless otherwise specified in the 
instructions).
• Allow the snow thrower to adjust to the outdoor 
temperature before using it.
• Always use protective goggles or a visor during use, 
maintenance and service. 
2.3 OPERATION
• Keep hands and feet away from rotating parts. Always 
avoid the discharge chute opening.
• Be careful when driving on or crossing gravel paths, 
pavements and roads. Be aware of hidden dangers and 
traffic.
• Never direct the discharge chute towards a public road or 
traffic.
• If the snow thrower hits a foreign object, stop the engine, 
disconnect the spark plug cable and carefully inspect the 
machine for damage. Repair the damage before using the 
machine again.
• If the machine starts vibrating abnormally, stop the 
engine and look for the cause. Vibration is normally a 
sign of something wrong.
• Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug cable: 
a. If the machine steers away from the driving position. 
b. If the auger housing or discharge chute is blocked and 
must be cleaned. 
c. Before beginning repairs or adjustments.
• Always make sure the rotating parts have stopped and all 
the controls are disengaged before cleaning, repairing or 
inspection.
• Before leaving the machine unattended, disengage all the 
controls, put it into neutral gear, stop the engine and 
remove the ignition key.

• Never run the engine indoors except when taking it in and 
out of its place of storage. In this case ensure the door to 
the storage place is open. Exhaust fumes are toxic. 
• Never drive across a slope. Move from the top down, and 
from the bottom to the top. Be careful when changing 
direction on a slope. Avoid steep slopes.
• Never operate the machine with insufficient protection or 
without the safety devices in place.
• Existing safety devices must not be disconnected or 
disengaged.
• Do not alter the engine’s regulator setting and do not race 
the engine. The possibility of personal injury increases 
when the engine is run at high revs.
• Never use the snow thrower near enclosures, cars, 
windowpanes, slopes etc. without properly setting the 
discharge chute deflector. 
• Always keep children away from areas to be cleared. Get 
another adult to keep the children under supervision.
• Do not overload the machine by driving it too fast.
• Take care when reversing. Look behind you before and 
during reversing to check for any obstacles.
• Never point the discharge chute towards bystanders. Do 
not allow anyone to stand in front of the machine. 
• Disengage the auger when the snow thrower is to be 
transported or is not in use Do not drive too fast on 
slippery surfaces when transporting.
• Only use accessories that are approved by the machine’s 
manufacturer.
• Never drive the snow thrower in bad visibility or without 
satisfactory lighting.
• Always ensure you have a good balance and a tight grip 
on the handle. 
• Never use the snow thrower on a roof.
• Do not touch engine components because they are warm 
during use. Risk of burn injuries.
2.4 MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
• Tighten all nuts and screws so that the machine is in safe 
working condition. Check the shear bolts regularly.
• Always use genuine spare parts. Non-genuine spare parts 
can entail a risk of injury, even if they fit the machine.
• Never store the machine with petrol in the tank in 
buildings where the fumes can come into contact with 
open flames or sparks.
• Allow the engine to cool before putting the machine in 
store.
• Before a long storage, check the instructions for 
recommendations.
• Replace damaged warning and instruction stickers.
• Let the engine run a couple of minutes with the auger 
connected after use. This prevents the auger from 
freezing solid.
3 ASSEMBLY
Note: Instructions to the left and right sides start from the 
driving position behind the snow thrower.
3.1 CONTENTS - OUTER PACKING
The packing contains:
- One snow thrower
- One adjustment lever
- One discharge chute
- One set of instructions
- One assembly kit
In addition, the following are supplied:
- Chute clearing tool (15 in fig. 7, 8)
- Extra break bolts for spare
3.2 UNPACKING
1.  Remove all loose items from the carton.
2.  Cut the four corners of the carton and let the sides fall 
down.
3. Unscrew the screws (B) that fasten the shoes to the 
bedding. See fig. 1. (some models only)
4.  Roll the snow thrower from the carton.
5.  Cut the plastic tape holding the control wires on the 
underside of the handle.
3.3 HANDLE, FIG. 2
1.  Loosen the longer screws in the lower part of the handle.
2.  Fold up the upper part of the handle. NOTE! Make sure 
the control wires do not jam.
3.  Place a screw (A) and a flat washer (B) in the lower, right 
hand hole.
4.  Lock with a locking washer (C) and a nut (D).
5.  Remove the locking nut and washer from the eyebolt 
sitting on the adjustment lever.
6.  Place the eyebolt in the left upper hole.
7.  Replace the washer and nut on the eyebolt.
8.  Tighten all the nuts when the adjustment lever has been 
assembled (see below).
3.4 ADJUSTMENT LEVER, SEE FIG. 3
1.  Remove the locking pin (12).
2.  Place the shaft (15) in the sleeve (16) in the toggle joint.
3.  Lock the joint with the locking pin (12).
4.  Check the discharge chute by turning it fully in both 
directions. The chute should rotate freely.
3.5 SNOW DISCHARGE CHUTE, SEE FIG. 4
1.  Turn the adjustment lever anti-clockwise until it resists.
2.  Place the discharge chute (2) on the flange until the holes 
meet.
3.  Mount the three carriage bolts (1) from the inside.
4.  Mount the washers (5) and locking nuts (6) on the outside 
of the flange.
5. Tighten properly.

1.  Screw the nut (J) onto the gear lever.
2.  Mount the control knob (K) onto the gear lever.
3.  Tighten the nut on the underside of the control knob.

Set the gear lever in a suitable position to simple assemble 
the ball-and-socket joint (L) into the hole in the lever (M).
Assemble the washer and tighten with the nut supplied.
3.8 CHECKING THE CONTROL WIRES
The control wires might need adjusting before using the 
snow thrower for the first time.
See ADJUSTING THE CONTROL WIRES below.
3.9 TYRE PRESSURE
Check the air pressure in the tyres. Correct air pressure: 1.0 
– 1.2 bar.
4 CONTROLS
See figures 7-13.
4.1 STOP SWITCH (1)
To start the engine, the stop switch shall be set in position 
“ON”.
The engine will stop when the switch is set in position 
“OFF”.
4.2 CHOKE (2)
Used when starting a cold engine: The choke has two 
positions:
1. The choke is open
2. The choke is closed (for cold starting)
4.3 PRIMER (3)
Pressing the rubber prime-starter squirts fuel into the 
carburettor intake pipe to make it easier to start a cold 
engine. 
4.4 IGNITION KEY (4)
Must be fully inserted or the engine will not start. Do not turn 
the key!
1. Key fully inserted – engine can start.
2. Key pulled out – engine cannot start.
4.5 STARTING HANDLE (5)
Manual cord start with rewinding
4.6 DIPSTICK (6)
For filling and checking the oil level in the engine. 
The dipstick has two level marks:
FULL = maximum oil level
ADD = minimum oil level
4.7 FILLER CAP (7)
a. For filling with petrol.4.8 OIL DRAINING PLUG (8)
For draining the old engine oil when changing the oil.
4.9 START BUTTON – ELECTRICAL START (9)
Activates the electric starting motor.
4.10 ELECTRIC CABLE – ELECTRICAL START 
(10)
Supplies power to the starting motor. Connect the cable to a 
220/230 volt earthed socket via an earthed extension lead. It 
is wise to use an earth fault breaker.
4.11 GEAR LEVER (11)
The machine has 6 forward gears and 2 reverse to regulate 
the speed. 
The gear stick must not be moved if the driving clutch 
lever is depressed.
4.12 CLUTCH LEVER- DRIVING (12)
Engages the wheels when put into gear and the lever 
is pushed towards the handle.
Situated on the left side of the handle.
4.13 CLUTCH LEVER- AUGER (13)
Connects the auger and fan when the lever is pushed 
down towards the handle. 
Situated on the right side of the handle.
4.14 CHUTE DEFLECTOR (14)
Loosen the wing nut and set the height of the deflector (fig 9).
Lowered – shorter throwing distance. 
Raised – longer throwing distance.
4.15 ADJUSTMENT LEVER (17)
Changes the direction of the discharged snow. 
1. Turn the lever clockwise – the discharge turns to 
the right.
2. Turn the lever anti-clockwise – the discharge turns 
to the left. 
4.16 SHOES (16)
Used to set the height of the auger housing above the ground.
4.17 BAND LOCKING (18)
See fig. 12. Only valid for SNT 929, SNT 1129.
To make it easier to move the machine with the motor 
stopped, the driving bands can be disconnected. The 
following two positions can be set:
The driving bands disconnected
Move the locking pins (1) to their outer positions on both 
sides.
The driving bands connected
Move the locking pins to their inner positions so they are 
going through both the hubs and axles.

4.18 BAND TILT (19)
See fig. 13. Only valid for SNT 929, SNT 1129.
To press down the auger further at hard and packed snow, the 
bands can be tilted backwards.
Aktivating the band tilt
Lift the handlebar until the bands are locked in tilted 
position.
Resetting the band tilt
Lift the handlebar and press down the pedal pedalen (19) 
until the bands are locked in their normal position.
4.19 CHUTE CLEARING TOOL (15, FIG. 7/8)
The chute clearing tool is located in a holder on top of the au-
ger housing. The chute clearing tool must always be used 
when cleaning the discharge chute and augur.
Always stop the engine before clearing the chute.
Never clear the snow discharge chute with your hand. 
Risk of serious injury.
Use the chute clearing tool supplied.
5 USING THE SNOW THROWER
5.1 GENERAL
Never start the engine until all the above measures under 
ASSEMBLY have been carried out. 
Never use the snow thrower without first reading 
and understanding the instructions and all the 
warning and instruction stickers on the machine. 
Always use protective goggles or a visor during 
use, maintenance and service.
5.2 BEFORE STARTING
The snow thrower is delivered without oil in the engine. Fill 
the engine with oil before using. 
Do not start the engine until filled with oil. The 
engine can be seriously damaged without oil.
1.  Place the machine on a level floor.
2.  Loosen the dipstick (6) and read the oil level. See fig. 11.
3. The oil level shall be between the marks “ADD” and 
“FULL”. See fig. 11.
4. If necessary fill with oil up to the FULL mark. See fig. 11.
5.  Use good quality oil marked A.P.I service SF, SG or SH. 
Use SAE 5W30 oil. Use SAE OW30 oil for temperatures 
under -18° C. 
Do not use SAE 10W40. 
5.3 FILL UP THE PETROL TANK
Always use lead-free petrol. Oil-mixed 2-stroke petrol must 
not be used.
NOTE! Bear in mind that ordinary lead-free petrol is 
perishable; do not purchase more petrol than can be used 
within thirty days.Environmental petrol can be used, i.e. alkylate petrol. This 
type of petrol has a composition that is less harmful for 
people and nature.
Petrol is highly inflammable. Always store fuel in 
containers that are made especially for this 
purpose. 
Store the petrol in a cool, well ventilated place – 
not in the house. Store the petrol well out of reach 
for children.
Only fill or top up with petrol outdoors, and never 
smoke when filling or topping up. Fill with fuel 
before starting the engine. Never remove the filler 
cap or fill with petrol while the engine is running 
or still warm.
Do not fill the petrol tank right to the top. d. After filling, 
screw the filler cap on tightly and wipe up any spilt petrol. 
5.4 STARTING THE ENGINE (WITHOUT 
ELECTRICAL START)
1.  Make sure the driving and auger clutch levers are 
disengaged. See fig. 7/8.
2.  Push the throttle to position  .
3.  Put in the ignition key. Ensure it clicks tight. Do not turn 
the key!
4.  Turn the choke to position  . Note: A warm engine does 
not need the choke (fig. 
5.  Press the rubber primer-start 2 or 3 times. Make sure the 
hole is covered when pressing the primer-start (fig. 9). 
Note: Do not use this function when the engine is warm.
6.  Pull on the starter cord until you feel resistance. Start the 
engine with a sharp pull.
7.  When the engine starts, turn the choke anti-clockwise 
until it is fully open.
Never run the machine indoors. The exhaust 
fumes contain carbon monoxide, a very toxic gas.
5.5 STARTING THE ENGINE (WITH ELECTRICAL 
START)
1.  Attach the connecting cable to an earthed extension lead. 
Then connect the extension lead to a 220/230 volt earthed 
socket.
2.  Make sure the driving and auger clutch levers are 
disengaged. See fig. 7/8.
3.  Set the stop switch (1) to position “ON”.
4.  Put in the ignition key. Ensure it clicks tight. Do not turn 
the key!
5.  Turn the choke to position  . Note: A warm engine does 
not need the choke (fig. 
6.  Press the rubber primer-start 2 or 3 times. Make sure the 
hole is covered when pressing the primer-start (fig. 9). 
Note: Do not use this function when the engine is warm.
7.  Starting the engine:
a. Press the start button to activate the starting motor. 
b. When the engine starts, release the start button and 
open the choke by slowly turning the choke lever anti-
clockwise to position   .
c. If the engine stutters, close the choke immediately and 
gradually open it again.

d. First pull out the extension lead from the socket. Then 
remove the extension lead from the engine.
Note: The electrical starting motor has overload 
protection. The motor stops automatically when 
overheated. It will not restart until it has cooled, which 
takes about 5 - 10 minutes.
8.  When the engine starts, turn the choke anti-clockwise 
until it is fully open. 
Never run the machine indoors. The exhaust 
fumes contain carbon monoxide, a very toxic gas.
5.6 STOPPING
1.  Release both clutch levers. Note. If the snow thrower 
continues rotating - see ADJUSTING THE CONTROL 
WIRES below.
2.  Push the throttle to idling position  . Let the engine run 
on idle a few minutes to melt the snow.
3. Remove the ignition key. Do not turn the key!
If the machine is left unattended, stop the engine 
and remove the ignition key. 
5.7 STARTING
1.  Start the engine as above. Let the engine run a few 
minutes to warm before use.
2.  Set the chute deflector.
3.  Turn the adjustment lever and set the deflector to throw 
the snow in the direction of the wind.
4.  Set the gear lever to a suitable position. 
The gear stick must not be moved if the driving 
clutch lever is depressed.
5.  Press down the auger clutch lever (13 in fig. 7/8) to 
activate the auger and discharge fan.
Watch out for rotating auger. Keep hands, feet, 
hair and loose clothing away from any moving 
parts on the machine.
6.  Press down the auger clutch lever (12 in fig. 7/8). The 
snow thrower now moves forward or backwards 
depending on the gear you have chosen.
5.8 DRIVING TIPS
1. Always run the engine on full throttle or next best.
The silencer and surrounding parts become very 
hot when the engine is running. Risk of burns. 
2. Always adapt the speed to the snowy conditions. 
Regulate the speed with the gear stick not the throttle.
3.  Snow is more effectively removed directly after falling.
4.  Always throw the snow in the direction of the wind if 
possible.
5.  Adjust the shoes with the screws (A in fig. 1) to suit the 
ground conditions: 
- On flat ground, e.g. asphalt, the shoes should be about  
3mm under the scraping blade.
- On uneven ground, e.g. gravel paths, the shoes should 
be about  30mm under the scraping blade.
Always adjust the shoes so that gravel and stones 
are not fed into the snow thrower. There is a risk 
for personal injury if these are thrown out at high 
speed. 
Ensure the shoes are adjusted the same on both sides.6.  Adapt the speed so that the snow is thrown in an even 
stream.
If snow fastens in the chute do not try to remove it 
before: 
- Releasing both clutch levers. Stopping the engine. 
Removing the ignition key. 
- Disconnecting the starting cable from the spark 
plug. 
- Do not put your hand inside the chute or auger. 
Use the chute clearing tool supplied.
5.9 AFTER USE
1.  Check for loose or damaged parts. If required, change 
damaged parts.
2.  Tighten loose screws and nuts.
3.  Brush all the snow from the machine.
4.  Move all the controls backwards and forwards a few 
times.
5.  Put the choke in position   
6.  - Disconnecting the starting cable from the spark plug.
Do not cover the machine while the engine and 
silencer are still warm.
6 MAINTENANCE
6.1 OIL CHANGE
Change the oil the first time after 2 hours of operation, and 
subsequently every 25 hours of operation or once a season. 
Change oil when the engine is warm.
The engine oil may be very warm if it is drained off 
directly after the engine is shut off. So allow the 
engine to cool a few minutes before draining the 
oil.
1.  Lean the snow thrower slightly to the right so that the oil 
draining plug is the lowest point of the engine.
2.  Unscrew the oil draining plug.
3.  Let the oil run out into a container.
4.  Screw back the oil draining plug.
5.  Fill with new oil: See BEFORE STARTING above for 
type. 
Oil amount in the crankcase: 0.8 litre
6.2 SPARK PLUG
Check the spark plug once a year or every hundred hours of 
use.
Clean or change the plug if the electrodes are burnt. The 
engine manufacturer recommends: Champion RC12YC.
Correct spark gap: 0.7/-0.8 mm 
6.3 CARBURETTOR
The carburettor is factory set. If adjustment is required, 
contact an authorised service station.

7 LUBRICATION
No service must be carried out before: 
The engine has stopped. 
The ignition key has been removed. 
- The starting cable has been disconnected from 
the spark plug.
If the instructions say that the machine is to be lifted at the 
front and rested on the auger housing then the petrol tank 
must be emptied.
Empty the petrol tank outdoors when the engine is 
cold. Do not smoke. Empty into a container 
designed for petrol.
7.1 DISCHARGER
Lubricate the discharger flange and the adjustment lever 
worm gear every 5th hour of use and before long time 
storage. 
7.2 THE AUGER SHAFT
Lubricate the auger shaft lubricating nipples with a grease 
gun every 10th hour of use (fig 13). Always lubricate the 
shaft when changing the shear bolts.
Dismantle the bolts for long time storage. Lubricate with the 
grease gun and then rotate the auger freely on the shaft before 
replacing the bolts.
7.3 WORM GEAR
The worm gear if filled with special lubricant at the factory. 
Refilling is not normally required.
Loosen the plug once a year and check if the worm gear 
contains lubricant (fig 15).
If it is leaking or has been repaired it must be refilled with 
lubricant. The worm gear holds 92 grams of lubricant at the 
most.
Use Shell Darina 1, Texaco Thermatex EP1, Mobiltem 78, 
Benalene #372 Grease or similar. 
7.4 HEXAGONAL SHAFT
The hexagonal shaft, chain sprocket and chains are not to be 
lubricated. All bearings and bushings are permanently 
lubricated and require no maintenance.
Lubricating these parts will only result in the grease getting 
on to the friction wheel and disc drive plate, which could 
damage the rubber clad friction wheel.
For long time storage the above-mentioned parts should be 
lightly wiped with an oily rag to prevent rust. 
8 SERVICE AND REPAIRS
No service must be carried out before: 
The engine has stopped. 
The ignition key has been removed. 
- The starting cable has been disconnected from 
the spark plug.
If the instructions say that the machine is to be lifted at the 
front and rested on the auger housing then the petrol tank 
must be emptied.
Empty the petrol tank outdoors when the engine is 
cold. Do not smoke. Empty into a container 
designed for petrol.
8.1 ADJUSTING THE SCRAPER BLADE 
The scraper blade gets worn after a lot of use.
Adjust the scraper blade (always together with the shoes)  
The scraper blade is reversible so can be used on both sides. 
8.2 ADJUSTING THE DRIVE BELTS
The drive belts should be checked (and adjusted if required) 
for the first time after 2 – 4 hours use and then the middle of 
each season. They should thereafter be checked twice a year.
When the belts are adjusted or changed, the control wires 
must also be adjusted (see below).
8.2.1 THE DRIVE BELT FOR DRIVING (A in Fig. 16)
The belt has a spring-loaded tension pulley. Adjustment is 
not required. If the belt slips, change it.
8.2.2 THE AUGER DRIVE BELT (B in Fig. 16)
1.  Remove the belt protective cover (1) by loosening the 
screws (2). See fig. 17.
2.  Loosen the tension-pulley (C) and move it about 3mm 
towards the belt  (fig. 16).
3.  Tighten the tension pulley nuts.
4.  Check the belt tension by pressing down the auger clutch 
lever. With a finger, you should be able to push the belt  
about 12 - 13 mm without any great power (fig 19). 
5. Repeat the above procedure if further adjustment is 
required.
6. Reassemble the belt protection. See fig 17.
8.3 REPLACING BELTS 
The belts are specially designed for this machine. They must 
be replaced by new genuine belts provided by your retailer or 
authorised service station.
When the belts are adjusted or replaced, the control wires 
must also be adjusted (see below).
8.3.1 THE AUGER BELT
1.  Remove the spark plug protection.
2.  Loosen the screws (3) and dismantle the bottom plate (2). 
See fig 20.
3.  Remove the belt protective cover (1) by loosening the 
screws (2). See fig. 17.
4.  Loosen the belt guide (D) at the engine belt disc. See fig. 
16.
5.  Remove the tension pulley (C) from the belt. See fig. 16.
