194 Cleaning the Projector Clean the projector frequently to prevent dust from settling on the surface. A dirty lens may ruin the quality of the projected image. Wipe the projector’s main unit softly with a soft cloth. If the projector is heavily soiled, soak the cloth in water with a small amount of detergent in it, squeeze the cloth thoroughly, and then wipe the projector with it. Replacing the Lamp 198 Replacement Lamp This projector uses the following lamps. Lamp part no.: RS-LP08 Contact the Canon Customer Support Center when purchasing a replacement lamp. 199 Replacing the Lamp Installation and Maintenance Maintenance 3As you hold down the lamp cover release button, slide the lamp cover toward the back, and then lift the cover to open it. 4Loosen the three screws securing the lamp unit. 5Remove the lamp unit. 6Follow this procedure in reverse to install a new lamp unit. As you slide the lamp cover toward the back, be careful not to pinch your fingers between the lamp cover. We recommend using both hands to slide the cover, as shown. Release button
