    Press to switch the mode to copy or scan.

    [Menu] keyPress to specify or register various settings.
    [Paper Settings] key Press to specify paper size and type for the paper cassette or multi-purpose tray.
    [Status Monitor/Cancel] key Press to view or cancel jobs. You can also check the status of the machine.
    (3)LCDDuring normal operation, displays messages and prompts. When adjusting the settings, 
    displays your selections, text, and numbers.

    [Reset] key
    Press to reset the settings. (Press to reset the copy or scan mode to the standard mode.)
    [Back] key Press to return to the previous screen.

    ] key Press to scroll up or to increase a value.

    ] key Press to scroll down or to decrease a value.

    ] key Press to return to the previous screen or move the cursor to the left.

    [Energy Saver] keyPress to manually set or cancel the Sleep mode. The Energy Saver light will be green when 
    in Sleep mode.

    [Start] key Press to start copying or scanning.
    (6)[Processing/Data] indicatorThe indicator blinks while processing jobs and remains lit when jobs are waiting in 
    memory.

    •   You can change the standby display which appears when the  power switch is turned ON.

     The scrollbar at the right side of the screen indicates that

      NOTE

     Setting the Sleep Timer  
     The machine returns to sleep mode automatically when it is 
    idle for a specified length of time.

     Specifying the auto sleep timer 
     You may specify the auto sleep timer between  minutes and 
     minutes, in one minute interval. The default value for this 
    setting is  minutes. 
      
     5 Press [] (Menu) to close the menu 
    screen. 
     
     NOTE 
     When entering sleep mode 
     [] (Energy Saver) will be lit green. 
     To enter sleep mode manually 
     Press  [] (Energy Saver). 
    *   The machine does not enter the sleep mode, if you press  [
    ] (Energy Saver) in 10 seconds after the machine resumes 
    from the sleep mode. 
     The machine will not enter sleep mode when 
    •   the machine is in operation 
    •   the Processing/Data indicator is lit or blinking 
    •   a message appears on the display and the Error indicator blinks  
    •   the machine is performing adjustment or cleaning 
    •   there is a paper jam 
    •   documents are set in the feeder 
     The machine will wake from sleep mode when 
    •   you press [] (Energy Saver) 
    •   a print job from a computer begins 
    •   documents are set in the feeder 
    •   the machine is connected to a computer via a USB cable

     Specify a display format for the date and time and set the 
    current date and time.  
     The specified date and time are used for reports.
