12-2Maintenance Chapter 12 Periodic Cleaning This section describes the necessary cleaning procedures for your machine. Please note the following before cleaning your machine: •Be sure to disconnect the power cord before cleaning the machine. Since documents in memory are erased when the power is disconnected, print or send any documents stored in memory before disconnecting the power cord (1 p.9-4). •Do not use tissue paper, paper towels, or similar materials for cleaning; they can stick to the...

Chapter 12 Maintenance12-7 Maintenance Replacing the FX-3 Cartridge The only component of your machine you will need to replace is the FX-3 cartridge. The FX-3 S Cartridge is a starter cartridge that comes with your machine, and yields approximately 1,500 pages based on 5% coverage of an A4 size page. The replacement FX-3 cartridge yields approximately 2,700 pages based on 5% coverage of an A4 size page.
