1-7 Before Using the Machine Toner Cartridge The only component of the machine that needs to be replaced is the toner cartridge. The machine comes with a starter cartridge, which yields approximately 1,000 pages based on 5% coverage of an A4-size page. A Canon genuine replacement cartridge yields approximately 2,000 pages based on 5% coverage of an A4-size page.
