To change access points, select [Switch Network] from the screen that will be displayed when the connection is being established, and follow steps 4 – 5 in “Adding a Computer”\ (= 121). • You can connect to computers that you have already connected to by choosi\ ng them on the [Select a Device] screen in step 3. • If you chose [PIN Method] in step 5, a PIN code will be displayed on the\ screen. Be sure to set this code in the access point. Choose a device in\ the [Select a Device] screen. For further details, refer to the user guide i\ ncluded with your access point. • To add multiple computers, repeat the above procedures starting from step\ 1. • To disconnect from the camera, turn off the camera. • After you have accessed the Wi-Fi menu once, you can access it again by \ pressing the < o> button. The recent target device is listed first, so you can easily connect again by pressing the < o> buttons to choose it. To add a new device, display the device selection screen by pressing the < q> buttons, and then configure the setting. If you prefer not to display recent target devices, press the < n> button, and on the [3] tab, choose [Wi-Fi Settings] > [Target History] > [Off]. Using CameraWindow to Transfer Images to a Computer Use the computer (included software CameraWindow) to transfer images from the camera to the computer. • For details on how to use CameraWindow, see the Software Guide (= 19). 1 Display CameraWindow. zzIn Windows, click [Downloads Images From Canon Camera using Canon CameraWindow]. XXCameraWindow will be displayed. XXOn a Macintosh computer, CameraWindow is automatically displayed when a Wi-Fi connection is established between the camera and computer. 2 Import images. zzClick [Import Images from Camera], and then click [Import Untransferred Images]. XXImages are now saved to the Pictures folder on the computer, in separate folders named by date. zzClick [OK] in the screen that is displayed after image import is complete. COPY

Refer to the Software Guide (= 19) for details. Connecting to a Printer Connect the camera to a printer via Wi-Fi to print as follows. When establishing a Wi-Fi connection with a printer, you can either use the camera as an access point (Camera Access Point mode) or use another access point. Follow these instructions when using the camera as an access point. For details, refer to the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY website. • Up to 50 images can be sent together at once. You can send movies together as long as the total playback time is within two minutes. However, if the destination is a Web service, the number of movies and images that can be sent may be less depending on the Web service. See the desired Web service for details. • Depending on the condition of the network you are using, it may take a l\ ong time to send movies. Be sure to keep an eye on the camera battery level.\ • When connected to a computer, images are transferred using the computer (included software CameraWindow) instead of the camera ( = 123). 1 Choose [Select and send]. zzPress the buttons to choose [Select and send], and then press the button. 2 Choose images. zzPress the buttons to choose an image to send, and then press the button. [ ] is displayed. zzTo cancel selection, press the button again. [] is no longer displayed. zzRepeat this process to choose additional images. zzAfter you finish choosing images, press the button. 3 Send the images. zzPress the buttons to choose [], and then press the button. Press the buttons to choose the resolution (size) of images to send, and then press the button. zzPress the buttons to choose [Send], and then press the < m> button. zzWhen uploading to YouTube, read the terms of service, choose [I Agree], and press the button. Covering this may decrease the speed of your image transfers. • On the screen, wireless signal strength is indicated by the following ic\ ons. [ ] high, [] medium, [] low, [] weak • To disconnect from the camera, press the < n> button. After the confirmation message, press the < q> buttons to choose [OK], and then press the button. You can also use the smartphone to end the connection. • Only images larger than the resolution you selected in step 3 will be re\ sized. • Movies cannot be resized. • To send only one of the displayed images, choose [Resize] on the screen i\ n step 1, change the size, and choose [Send this image]. Adding Comments Using the camera, you can add comments (alphanumeric characters and symbols) to images that you send to email addresses, social networking \ services, etc. The number of characters and symbols that can be entered may differ depending on the Web service. 1 Choose []. zzPress the buttons to choose [], and then press the button. 2 Add a comment. zzFollow step 3 in “Registering a Camera Nickname (First time only)” ( = 111) to add a comment. 3 Send the images. zzFollow the steps in “Sending Images” (= 126) to send the image. • When a comment is not entered, the comment set in CANON iMAGE GATEWAY is automatically sent. If the computer that you intend to send images to is turned off, the images will be stored temporarily on the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY server. However, the images will be deleted after a while. Start up the computer so that they can be saved. 1 Choose the type of images to send (only when sending movies with images). zzPress the button, and then choose [Wi-Fi Settings] on the [3] tab (= 29). zzPress the buttons to choose [Send via Server], press the buttons to choose [Stills/Movies], and then press the button. zzWhen sending only still images, go to step 2. 2 Send the images. zzFollow the steps in “Establishing Web Service Connections” ( = 114) to choose []. XXOnce the connection is established, the images are sent. (The screen will close in about one minute.) zzAfter the images are sent, [OK] is displayed. Press the < m> button to return to the playback screen. XXWhen the images have been sent successfully to the CANON iMAGE GATEWAY server, [ ] is displayed on the screen. 3 Turn on the computer. zzImages are automatically saved to the computer when you turn it on. • When sending images, you should use a fully charged battery or an AC adapter kit (sold separately, = 141). • Even if images were imported to the computer through a different method, any images not sent to the computer via CANON iMAGE GATEWAY will be sent to the computer. Images are tagged with information including the latitude, longitude, and elevation\ . • Before shooting, make sure the date and time and your home time zone are set correctly. (See “Setting the Date and Time” (= 14).) Additionally, in [Time Zone] (= 134), specify any shooting destinations that are in other time zones. • The smartphone you will use for geotagging must be authorized to view the images on the camera ( = 116). • Others may be able to locate or identify you by using location data in your geotagged still images or movies. Be careful when sharing these images with others, as when posting images online where many others can view them. Editing or Erasing Wi-Fi Settings Edit or erase Wi-Fi settings as follows. Editing Connection Information Edit connection information saved to the camera. You can change device nicknames (display names) that are displayed on the camera, and erase \ connection information. The following explains the procedure when the target device is a compute\ r. 1 Access the Wi-Fi menu. zzPressing the button will show recent target devices. To access the Wi-Fi menu, press the buttons. 2 Choose a device to edit. zzPress the buttons to choose the icon of the device to edit, and then press the button. 3 Choose [Edit a Device]. zzPress the buttons to choose [Edit a Device], and then press the button.
