About categories
You can create categories to group your contacts, tasks, and memos. You can also narrow the contacts, tasks, and memos 
that appear based on categories.
Category names are not case sensitive. More than one category can apply to a contact, task, or memo. If you use IBM Lotus 
Notes
, you can apply more than one category to a task on your BlackBerry smartphone, but only one category synchronizes 
with the task in

Highlight, cut, copy, or paste text
1.Do one of the following:
 • On the slide-out keyboard, press and hold the  key. To highlight text character by character, on the 
trackpad, slide your finger left or right. To highlight text line by line, on the trackpad, slide your finger up or down.
•On the touch screen keyboard, to highlight the text, touch the beginning and the end of the text. To adjust the  highlighted text, slide the cursor frame.

Hide the keyboard
When the slide-out keyboard is closed, your BlackBerry smartphone shows the touch screen keyboard when you click a 
text field, and hides it when you click away from a text field. You can hide the touch screen keyboard manually to display 
more content on the screen. 
Do one of the following:
 • Press the  key > Hide Keyboard.
•Touch the top of the touch screen keyboard and slide your finger quickly down the screen.
