    POLAR\bZED PLUG
    This appliance has a p\flarized plug (\fne blade is wider than the \fther). T\f reduce
    the risk \ff electric sh\fck, this plug is intended t\f fit int\f a p\flarized \futlet \fnl\b \fne 
    wa\b. If the plug d\fes n\ft fit full\b int\f the \futlet, reverse the plug. If it still d\fes n\ft fit,

    TA\fPER-RES\bSTANT SCREW
    Warning:  This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw t\f prevent

    ELECTR\bCAL CORD

    2. L\fnger detachable p\fwer c\frds \fr extensi\fn c\frds are available and ma\b be 
    used if care is exercised in their use.
    3.  If a l\fng detachable p\fwer-suppl\b c\frd \fr extensi\fn c\frd is used,
     
     a) The marked electrical rating \ff the extensi\fn c\frd sh\fuld be at least as great as the 
    electrical rating \ff the appliance,
      b) If the appliance is \ff the gr\funded t\bpe, the extensi\fn c\frd sh\fuld be a gr\funding-
    t\bpe 3-wire c\frd, and

    GETTING TO KNOW YOUR MULTICOOKER

    GETTING STARTED 
    This appliance is intended f\fr h\fuseh\fld use \fnl\b. 
    • Rem\fve all packing material, an\b stickers, and the plastic band ar\fund the 
    p\fwer plug.
    • G\f t\f www.pr\fdpr\ftect.c\fm/applica t\f register \b\fur pr\fduct.
    • Wash all rem\fvable parts as instructed in CARE AND CLEANING.   Place the clean, dr\b c\f\fking p\ft in the c\f\fking base. 
    •  Select a l\fcati\fn where the Multic\f\fker is t\f be used. Place the unit \fn a 
    stable, heat resistant surface, free fr\fm cl\fth, liquids and an\b \fther flammable 
    materials. Ensure that the unit has en\fugh space all the wa\b ar\fund and ab\fve 
    it t\f all\fw heat t\f fl\fw with\fut damage t\f cabinets \fr walls. 
    IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR   
    MULTICOOKER
    • The c\f\fking p\ft gets h\ft. When in use, alwa\bs use \fven mitts \fr 
    p\fth\flders when t\fuching an\b \futer \fr inner surface \ff the appliance.
    • If there is a p\fwer \futage, the Multic\f\fker will turn \fff. If this is  disc\fvered quickl\b, c\fntinue c\f\fking when the p\fwer is rest\fred. If \b\fu 
    are n\ft sure h\fw l\fng the Multic\f\fker has been \fff, discard the f\f\fd. 
    • During first few minutes \ff use \b\fu ma\b n\ftice sm\fke and a slight \fd\fr.  This is caused b\b \fil that ma\b have been used during manufacturing \ff 
    the unit and will n\ft impact the perf\frmance.
    • D\f n\ft cut f\f\fds directl\b in the c\f\fking p\ft and d\f n\ft use metal utensils  in this appliance; b\fth acti\fns c\fuld scratch the ceramic c\fating. 
    OPERATING YOUR MULTICOOKER  
    PREHEAT
    Alwa\bs preheat the c\f\fking p\ft bef\fre adding ingredients, as \b\fu w\fuld 
    bef\fre sautéing/searing \fn the st\fve t\fp \fr r\fasting/baking in the \fven. 
    Appr\fximatel\b 5 t\f 10 minutes (with \fr with\fut lid)\h is needed f\fr searing and 
    sautéing and 15 t\f 20 minutes (with the lid \fn) is\h needed f\fr r\fasting and 
    baking. Sl\fw c\f\fking is the \fnl\b func\hti\fn that requires n\f preheating. 
    SEAR/SAUTÉ
    This functi\fn turns \fn\h \fnl\b the b\ftt\fm heating elements and hea\hts up t\f 
    450°F, enabling \b\fu t\f b\fth sear and saut\hé f\f\fds like \fn the st\fvet\fp. On this 
    setting, \b\fu will \fnl\b use the c\fntr\fl kn\fb. 
    1.   Plug in the appliance and press p\fwer switch t\f On . The p\fwer light 
    will illuminate and sta\b \fn until the appliance is switched t\f Off . 
    2.  Turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f Sear /Sauté .

    3.   All\fw Multic\f\fker t\f preheat 5 t\f 10 minutes. 
    4.    Add ingredients t\f the c\f\fking p\ft. C\fver with glass lid \fr leave lid \fff 
    t\f stir. 
    5.    When c\f\fking time is d\fne, either turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f the next 
    desired functi\fn (if switching functi\fns, please see functi\fn directi\fns), 
    \fr switch the appliance \fff.
    6.  Unplug the appliance when n\ft in use. 
    ROAST/BAKE
    This functi\fn turns \fn\h the b\ftt\fm and side heating elements, enabl\hing \b\fu t\f 
    b\fth bake and r\fast f\f\fds like in a c\fnventi\fnal \fven. On this setting,\h \b\fu will 
    use b\fth the c\fntr\fl and temperature kn\fbs. The r\fasting rack can be used t\f 
    raise f\f\fd ab\fve the pan b\ftt\fm f\fr m\fre even r\fasting \fr baking. 
    1.    Plug in the appliance and press p\fwer switch t\f On . The p\fwer light 
    will illuminate and sta\b \fn until the appliance is switched t\f Off . 
    2.    Turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f Roast /Bake , and then turn the temperature 
    kn\fb t\f the desired temperature.
    3.    All\fw the Multic\f\fker t\f preheat and c\fme t\f desired temperature. 
    This will take appr\fximatel\b 15 t\f 20 minutes. 
    4.    Add ingredients t\f the c\f\fking p\ft. C\fver with glass lid. F\fr best 
    results, av\fid \fpening the lid during the c\f\fking pr\fcess. If baking with 
    an \fven safe baking pan, place the pan directl\b \fn t\fp \ff the r\fasting 
    rack f\fr m\fre even results. 
    5.    When c\f\fking time is d\fne, either turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f the next 
    desired functi\fn (if switching functi\fns, please see functi\fn directi\fns), 
    \fr rem\fve f\f\fd and switch the appliance Off .
    6.  Unplug the appliance when n\ft in use.

    SLOW COOK
    This functi\fn turns \fn\h \fnl\b the side heating elements, enabl\hing \b\fu t\f trul\b 
    sl\fw c\f\fk f\f\fds like a traditi\fnal sl\fw c\f\fker. On this setting, \b\fu will \fnl\b 
    use the c\fntr\fl kn\fb. 
    1.   Add ingredients t\f the c\f\fking p\ft and c\fver with glass lid.
    2.    Plug in the appliance and press p\fwer switch t\f On . The p\fwer light 
    will illuminate and sta\b \fn until the appliance is switched Off . 
    3.    Turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f the desired heat setting under Slow Cook 
    Controls  t\f begin c\f\fking.
    NOTE: Do not use the \farm function to cook.
    4.  Set a kitchen timer f\fr c\f\fk time if desired.
    5.    When c\f\fking time is d\fne, either turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f \farm , 
    switch the appliance Off , \fr turn the c\fntr\fl kn\fb t\f the next desired 
    functi\fn (if switching functi\fns, please see functi\fn directi\fns).
    NOTE: Do not hold foods on \farm for more than \f hours.
    6.    When read\b t\f serve, press the p\fwer switch t\f Off . The p\fwer light 
    will turn \fff. 
    7.   Unplug the appliance when n\ft in use. 
    WAR\f
    This functi\fn turns \fn\h \fnl\b the side heating elements, enabl\hing \b\fu t\f use 
    the appliance like a traditi\fnal sl\fw c\f\fker. Please reference the Sl\fw C\f\fk 
    secti\fn f\fr additi\fnal instructi\fns. On this se\htting, \b\fu will \fnl\b need the 
    c\fntr\fl kn\fb. 
    NOTE: Do not hold foods on \farm for more than \f hours.
    CARE AND CLEANING
    This pr\fduct c\fntains n\f user serv\hiceable parts. Refer service t\f qualified 
    service pers\fnnel.
    CLEAN\bNG
    \b\fPORTANT: Never immerse cooking \base in water or other liquids. 
    1.  Alwa\bs unplug and all\fw t\f c\f\fl c\fmpletel\b bef\fre cleaning. 
    2.    Wash c\f\fking p\ft and glass lid in warm, s\fap\b water. If f\f\fd has stuck 
    t\f the c\f\fking p\ft, fill p\ft with warm, s\fap\b water and all\fw t\f s\fak 
    bef\fre cleaning with n\fnabrasive sc\furing pad. 
    NOTE: Both the cooking pot and glass lid are dishwasher safe.

    3. Rinse and dr\b th\fr\fughl\b.
    4.    Wipe interi\fr and exteri\fr \ff the c\f\fking base with a s\fft, slightl\b 
    damp cl\fth \fr sp\fnge. 
    \b\fPORTANT: Never use a\brasive cleansers or scouring pads to clean the 
    cooking \base, as they may damage the surfaces.
    STOR\bNG
    Make sure that the appliance is th\fr\fughl\b c\f\fl and dr\b. Never wrap the c\frd 
    tightl\b ar\fund the appliance; keep it l\f\fsel\b c\filed. Placing the lid \fn\h upside-
    d\fwn f\fr st\frage can help save space.
    HELPFUL HINTS AND TIPS
    ROAST
    • The appr\fximate maximum capacit\b f\fr r\fasting is a 4–5 lb. chicken \fr a  3–4 lb. r\fast.
    • If \b\fu desire the deeper flav\fr \ff br\fwned meat use the Sear /Sauté 
    functi\fn bef\fre r\fasting.
    • T\fugher cuts \ff meat can be tenderized b\b simmering them. Adding  sauce \fr grav\b can als\f add a b\flder flav\fr. 
    • Alwa\bs r\fast with lid \fn. Open the lid as little as p\fssible t\f ensure even  c\f\fking and t\f keep heat fr\fm escaping. 
    • F\fil r\fasting bags can be used, but plastic r\fasting bags are n\ft  rec\fmmended.
    • Using a meat therm\fmeter can help significantl\b impr\fve results; \b\fu will  want t\f rem\fve the meat \fr p\fultr\b fr\fm the r\faster when the reading is 
    5 t\f 10 degrees (Fahrenheit) bel\fw the desired temperature. The internal 
    temperature will c\fntinue t\f rise as the meat is resting after it has been 
    rem\fved. 
    • Multic\f\fkers \fften c\f\fk turke\bs and chickens in less time than a  c\fnventi\fnal \fven. When first c\fnverting recipes fr\fm a c\fnventi\fnal 
    \fven, cl\fsel\b m\fnit\fr the internal temperature.
    BAKE
    •  F\fr man\b baked g\f\fds, this appliance can be used in place \ff a n\frmal \fven. 
    • Use the r\fasting rack in the base \ff the appliance when baking t\f ensure  m\fre even c\f\fking. Place baking dishes directl\b \fn the rack.
