Avaya, Inc. - 101 - PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module User Guide 6. WAN configuration This chapter details how to configure the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module for both data and voice operation. To do so, you must: Configure the datalink protocol Configure the physical interface ** Configure ATM PVCs and ATM options (Datalink protocol = ATM) Configure Frame Relay DLCIs and Configure Frame Relay options (Datalink protocol = Frame Relay) Configure the voice path For the PARTNER ACS 1600 DSL module , you can also use the Quick Configuration command to configure the physical interface. For more information, see the “Quick Configuration” section later in this chapter. Voice and data traffic area each carried in their own PVCs (protocol = ATM) or DLCI (protocol = Frame Relay). The data payload in the PVC/DLCI identifies the voice ports and you can define up to 8 data ports. For more information on the menus, submenus and commands in this chapter, see the “Menu interface” chapter. Changing the Datalink Protocol To change the datalink protocol: 1.
