Chapter 2: Getting Started 21 Changing the Password You should change Amanda’s password on a regular basis. To change Amanda’s password: 1. If Amanda is running, shut down the Amanda system as explained in “Shutting Amanda Down” on page 20 (but don’t power off). 2. Change to the AMANDA directory—unless you are there already. Chapter 3: Monitoring Amanda Overview If you are running Amanda as a voice server, Amanda Monitor lets you view the real time status of the Amanda Voice Server from a workstation on your Local Area Network (LAN).
