31 INNER FAN BELT REMOVAL DANGER! Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet before assembling or disassembling the tool. Accidental starting of the motor may cause bodily injury. 1. INSPECTING AND CLEANING THE FAN BELTS AND PULLEYS
1. With the fan belt removed, you can now check and clean it using a mild de\
tergent.
The fan belt will need to be replaced if it is frayed or showing signs o\
f wear.
2. The pulley should also be cleaned with a mild detergent.
3. Rotate the pulley by hand to check for bearing play and wear.
4. Make sure to fully clean the inside area of the large pulley where the pulley meets the
spindle to prevent slippage.

the other pulley with your finger while turning the fan belt.
