Bin Configuration
You will be prompted

changes the behavior of 
the autoloader, in relation 
to which bins are used for 
input/output.
It is suggested that the default configuration option should be 
used, unless you specifically desire a different bin order for 
picking up and dropping discs. By default, the autoloader will 
pick up discs from bin 1, and place completed discs into bin 3. 
When bin 1 is empty, the autoloader will (if desired) pick up 
discs from bin 2, and place completed discs into bin 1.

Autoloader Alignment
Click on the “Calibration...” 
1. 
button to access the various 
alignment parameters on your 
1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher 
LS. There should be no disc in 
any of the recorders to start.
Note: To realign a previously installed autoloader, click on the 
“Recorder” menu and select “Robotics.” On the “Tests” tab of this 
dialog box, click the “Calibration...” button and proceed to the n\
ext 
step.

parameters can be selected from 
the “Alignment Procedure” 
drop-down box. Remember to 
click “Accept” when you are 
satisfied with each position, 
before selecting the next 
alignment parameter or clicking 
“OK.”
First, select the “Angle of

down box. The top tray will be 
ejected and the robotic arm will 
move to the default position for

Use the “Right” and “Left” arrow icons to move the robotic

arm clockwise and counterclockwise, respectively. Adjust this 
position as close as possible to the center of the disc and click 
“Accept”, then “OK.”
You will be prompted to save the alignment parameters to a 
5. 
configuration file. Type a name for this file in the “File name” 
box and then click “Save.”
When Droppix asks if you would like to apply the settings as 
6. 
default, click “Yes.” The current alignment parameters will 
then be stored in the autoloader.
Place a disc in the top recorder’s tray, then close the tray. 
7. 
Click on the “Calibration...” button to continue adjusting the 
alignment parameters.
Use the “Angle of Robotic Arm” option once again to make 
8. 
any further necessary refinements.

Select the “Height of Robotic Arm” parameter and adjust with 
9. 
the “Up” and “Down” arrow buttons as necessary. The picker 
head should be flush with the surface of the disc on the tray, 
but should not press down so hard as to put undue pressure on 
the tray. Click “Accept” when finished with this parameter, and 
remove the disc from the recorder.

bin, with the guide peg 
resting in the center hole 
of the stack of discs.
Use the “Right” and “Left” arrow 
icons to move the robotic arm

respectively, to reach the closest 
position possible. Press “Accept” 
when finished aligning each bin 
position.
Number 4 Spindle is for rejected discs, and it is aligned in the

same way as the previous step, albeit without any discs on the 
spindle.

For the alignment parameter “Down Limit of Spindle,” there should 
12. 
not be any bin present in the “Number 3 Spindle” position. Press the 
“Down” arrow button ten (10) times, during which time the arm will 
move in major increments.
After the large increments, the distance moved down with each click 
will be very minor, and the goal here is to have the bottom edge 
of the vertically-moving picker head carrier even with or no more 
than 1/16 inch (2 mm) above the bottom of the guide track that this 
moves along (just above the pulley). Press “Accept” when done.
Select the “Short Tray” parameter and make sure it is set to “Yes”

and “Automatic Turn Height” is set to “high”. Click on “Accept” to 
accept your selection.
When satisfied with the alignment parameters, press “OK,” then 
14. 
repeat steps 5-6 to save and store the new alignment configuration. 
Click “Finish” on the “Robot Configuration Wizard” screen, or 
“OK” on the “Robotics” dialog.
Proceed to the “Testing the Autoloader” section to try out the new 
alignment parameters.
Testing the Autoloader
To test the autoloader, place at least one disc into the primary input 
bin. Then click the “Test the Robot” button and the autoloader will 
determine the presence of a disc in the top drive and place it in the 
reject spindle, if one is found.
The robotic arm will then proceed to pick up a disc in the input bin, 
and place it on the top recorder’s tray. It will then pick up this disc 
from the recorder tray, and drop it into the primary output bin.
Your 1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS is now installed, aligned, and 
ready to use.

Installation Matérielle
Présentation De La Procédure
Vérifier que le PC est éteint.
1. 
Connecter les câbles.

Allumer le PC.
3. 
Insérer le CD d'installation.
4. 
Allumer le duplicateur.
5. 
Installer les pilotes.
6. 
Installer les cartouches d'encre.
7. 
Installer le logiciel.

Connecter Les Câbles
Insérez le câble USB 2.0 dans le connecteur USB situé au centre\
 
à l'arrière du duplicateur 1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS. Insérez 
l'autre extrémité du câble USB dans un port USB 2.0 disponible \
sur 
votre PC.
Insérez le cordon d'alimentation dans la prise d'alimentation du 
duplicateur 1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS, également située 
à l'arrière (vérifiez que le commutateur rouge est sur 115 VCA). 
Branchez l'autre extrémité dans une prise 115 VCA standard. 
L'utilisation d'une barrette de connexion courante avec filtrage 
CA, répandue avec la plupart des ordinateurs haut de gamme, est 
recommandée pour le duplicateur 1:3 DVD/CD Auto Publisher LS.
Note: Utilisez uniquement un port USB 2.0. Ce système ne peut pas être \
utilisé avec un port USB 1.1, car cela nuirait grandement aux perform\
ances 
du système. Si Windows affiche un message indiquant qu'un périph\
érique 
USB rapide est détecté sur un port USB lent, vous devrez mettre à\
 niveau 
votre ordinateur en ajoutant un port USB 2.0.
