4. Use the Up/Down/Left/Rght button to select a pcture 
or vdeo clp, then press the 
 button to return to the 
orgnal sze.
Date Folders are dsplayed n order, based on the 
shootng date.
If the 
 con appears on the LCD, then a move file 
s currently beng dsplayed.
When n Playback mode, press the  to dsplay 
thumbnal mages of photos and vdeos on the screen.
1.  Use the Zoom button to swtch between 3x3, 4x4 and 
the Date Folder thumbnal dsplay.
2. When dsplayng 3x3 and 4x4 thumbnals, use the Up/
Down/ Left/Rght button to select a pcture or vdeo for 
vewng; press the 
 button to return to the orgnal 
sze.
3.  When dsplayng date folder thumbnals, use the Up/
Down button to select a date folder. Pressng the 
 
button wll enter the date nformaton ndex.

Usng Zoom Playback (for stll pctures only)
The zoom buttons can also be used durng playback. Ths 
allows you to magnfy photos from 2x to 8x.
1. Press the 
 button to enter the Playback mode.
2.  Use the Left/Rght navgaton buttons to select a photo 
to magnfy.
3.  Press one end of the Zoom button 
 to zoom n.
4.  Use the Zoom buttons to zoom n and out. The zoom 
magnficaton area scale and the total photo area scale 
wll dsplay on the screen.
5. Use the navgaton buttons to pan across the mage.
6.  Press the 
 button to return the mage to ts orgnal 
sze.
Move mages cannot be magnfied.

Usng the Delete Button
In Playback Mode, you can press the Down/Delete button 
to delete pctures or vdeos.
To delete pctures or vdeos:
1. Press the 
 button to enter the Playback Mode.
2.  Select a pcture or vdeo clp you want to delete wth 
the Left/Rght button.
3.  Press the Down/Delete button and the delete screen 
wll appear. 
4. Select Yes or Back wth the Up/Down button and press 
the  button to confirm the settng.
Erased photos/vdeo clps cannot be recovered.
Please refer to page 52 for nstructons on the 
Delete Menu optons.

Stll Menu
USING THE MENUS
Mode: AUTO       
In any of the above Stll Pcture Modes, press the  
button to go to the Stll Pcture menu.
To adjust each settng:
1.  In the Stll Pcture menu, swtch between dfferent 
Photo Setup or Camera Setup pages usng the Left/
Rght button. Select the page wth the functon you 
want to adjust and press the Down button.
2.  Press the Up/Down buttons to select the functon.
3.  Press the 
 or Rght button to go to the submenu.
4. Press Up/Down button to select an opton, or press 
Left button to return to the menu.
5.
  Press the 
 button to confirm the settng and return 
to the prevous page.
After selectng a functon, you can press the Up 
button to return to the Stll Pcture menu for other 
Photo Setup or Camera Setup pages. Or you can 
press the Down button several t
 mes to move to the 
next setup menu page.

AF Mode (Auto-Focus mode)
Use ths settng to control the auto-focus mechansm whle 
takng pctures.
Two optons are avalable:
•  Single-AF: The focus frame appears on the center of 
the LCD screen to focus on the subject.
•  Multi-AF: The camera w
 ll focus correctly on multple 
parts of the object. 
AF-assist Beam
Ths opton can turn the AF-assst on or off. The AF-assst 
can mprove focusng when the camera s n a dark envron-
ment. In low l
ght condtons t s not recommended to turn 
off the AF-assst lamp otherwse the camera may not focus 
correctly.

Expo Metering (Exposure Metering) 
Use ths settng to select the sze of the area for the 
exposure to be obtaned.
Three optons are avalable:
• Spot 
• Center
• AiAE (Art
 fical Intellgence AE)
Continuous AF
After Contnuous AF s turned on, the camera wll adjust 
focus automatcally n response to any camera or subject 
movement.

Continuous Shot
Use ths settng to perform contnuous shootng. After 
enterng ths mode, you can shoot multple mages by 
pressng and holdng down the shutter button.
There are five avalable optons:
• Off: Turn off the Cont
 nuous Shot functon.
•  Unlimited: Press and hold the shutter button to shoot 
cont

nuously untl you release the shutter button, or 
run out of space on the memory card.
•

  3 shot: Capture up to 3 consecut
 ve pctures.
•  3 shots (Last): Capture p
 ctures contnuously untl the 
Shutter button s released. Only the last 3 shots wll 
be recorded. 
•

  Time-Lapse: Automat
 cally capture pctures n a 
predefined nterval.
The flash s dssabled n ths mode n order to enable 
qu
 ck successon of shots.
Smile DetectionWth the camera's new "Smle Detecton" feature, whch 
automatcally detects and captures a person smlng, you'll 
never mss a smle.
1.  When smle detecton s enabled, the (  ) con wll 
dsplay on the LCD screen. 
2.  Pont the camera towards the subject, when the camera 
dentfies a human face, a whte focusng frame wll 
appear around the face on the screen. Press the shutter 
button completely, then release. The camera w
 ll “wat 
for” a smlng face.
3.  When the subject smles, the camera wll automatcally 
release the shutter and capture the photo.
4.

  If you want to stop smle shootng functon, please 
press Shutter button. 
A face must be detected by the camera 
 n order for 
smle detecton to functon correctly.
For optmal detecton results, the subject should be 
framed to occupy most of the screen space.

Digital Zoom
Use ths settng to enable or dsable the dgtal zoom 
functon. When dsabled, only the optcal zoom s enabled.
Slow Shutter
Use the Slow shutter mode to c ontrol over the duraton of 
the exposure. (The slow shutter mode s avalable only n 
 manual mode.)
• Manual 
: To take a long exposure t me between 
2~30 sec. 
The use of tr pod s recommended when usng 
prolonged exposure tmes.
