Your camera s equpped wth two types of zoom functons: 
optcal zoom and dgtal zoom. Press the Zoom button to 
zoom n or out of the subject whle takng pctures.
When the optcal zoom reaches ts maxmum value, release 
the Zoom button then press t agan and the optcal zoom 
wll swtch over to dgtal zoom. The Zoom ndcator s 
hdden after the Zoom button s released. The screen wll 
show ( 
 ) for the current zoom status.
Shootng n Auto Mode AUTO
Auto mode s the easest mode to take photos wth. Whle 
operatng n ths mode, the camera automatcally optmzes 
the camera's settngs for best results.
To start shootng, do the followng:
1.  Press the power button to turn the camera on.
2.  Press the Mode button and select Automatc mode.   
(
AUTO).
3.  Compose your pcture on the LCD screen and press the 
Shutter button halfway to focus on the subject.
4.

  The LCD screen wll show a green focus frame after the 
subject s n focus.
5.  Press the  Shutter button fully to capture the 
 mage.
Auto mode s an ntal default mode.

exstng lght condtons. To enable the self-tmer functon, press the Down/Self-

press the Left/Rght button to swtch among three self-
tmer modes:

shootng nterface, press the Left/Rght button to swtch 
between two close-up shootng modes:

Macro Mode Usng quck recordng
In Shootng mode, press the Record ng shortcut button  
to enter the recordng mode drectly and make recordngs. 
After finshng a recordng, press the Recordng shortcut 
button or Shutter button aga n, you can store the v deo and 
return to the shootng screen.

Advanced Functons Menu
The Advanced Functons menu of the camera ncludes 
mage sze, mage qualty, whte balance, mage colour, 
ISO and EV values. These functons allow advanced 
users better control for shootng under dfficult lghtng 
condtons.
Set the advanced functons as per the followng steps:
1. Pull up the Advanced Functon Menus by pressng the 
 button.
2. Press the Down button to enter the advanced functon 
selecton screen, then press the Left/Rght button 
to select the functon that needs to be changed or 
adjusted. 
3.

  Press the Up button to enter the advanced functon 
settng nterface. 
4.  Press the Left/Rght button to select the value to be 
set, press the 
 button to confirm the sett ng and qu t 
the nterface.

Size
The sze settng refers to the mage resoluton n pxels. A 
hgher mage resoluton allows you to prnt that mage n 
larger szes wthout degradng the mage qualty. 
The larger the pctures are, the bgger the file szes 
are and the less pctures you can store on a memory 
card.
Quality
The qualty settng adjusts the compresson rato of the 
mages. Hgher qualty settngs gve better photos, but wll 
take up more memory space.
There are three optons for pcture qualty:
• 
 Qualty : Best
• 
 Qualty : Fne
• 
 Qualty : Normal

Color
The color settng feature allows you to add artstc color  
effects to your 
mages when takng pctures. You can try 
dfferent color tones to alter the mood of your pctures. 
(The colour settng feature s only avalable when the 
camera s n the 
 Manual mode).
The color optons nclude:

WB (White Balance)
The Whte Balance allows you to adjust the color 
temperature from dfferent lght sources to ensure fathful 
color reproducton. (The WB settng s only avalable when 
the camera s n the 
 Manual mode).
The optons of Whte Balance nclude:

  WB : Daylght
• 
  WB : Cloudy
•

Exposure Compensation
The exposure compensaton adjustment allows you to 
adjust the lght exposure value to control the brghtness 
of the mage. (The exposure compensaton settng s only 
avalable when the camera s n the 
 Manual mode).
The adjustable range of exposure value s from EV -2.0 to 
EV+2.0.
ISO
The ISO functon allows you to set the senstvty of the 
camera sensor based on the brghtness of the scene. To 
mprove the performance n darker envronments, a hgher 
ISO value s requred. On the other hand, a lower ISO value 
s needed when n brght condtons. (The ISO settng s 
only avalable when the camera s n the 
 Manual mode).

ctures at hgher ISO wll naturally have more nose than 
those at lower ISO.
The optons of ISO nclude automatc, 64, 100, 200, 400, 
800 and 1600.
