REMOVING THE SWINGARM
1. Stand the vehicle on a level surface.
WARNING
EWA13120
Securely support the vehicle so that there is 
no danger of it falling over.
TIP
Place the vehicle on the centerstand so that the 
rear wheel is elevated.
2. Measure: Swingarm side play
 Swingarm vertical movement

a. Measure the tightening torque of the swing-
arm pivot shaft.
b. Measure the swingarm side play  “A” by mov-
ing the swingarm from side...

TIP
Make sure that the four projections  “a” on the 
plate are securely fitted onto the frame.
3. Install:
Rubber boot  “1”
TIP
Align the  “” mark  “a” on the rubber boot with 
the “”  mark “b” on the middle driven pinion 
gear bearing housing  “2”.
 Be sure to fit the lips “c”  on the ends of the rub-
ber boot into the grooves “d”  in the middle driv-
en pinion gear bearing housing  “2” and rubber 
boot joint  “3”.
