POLARIZED PLUGThis appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the
outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
ELECTRIC CORD
A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from
entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used with care;
however,its marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the toaster. The extension cord should not drape over the counter or tabletop,
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

1. Never pull or yank on the cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.

found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord

FULL ONE-YEAR WARRANTYApplica warrants this product against any defects that are due to faulty material or
workmanship for a one-year period after the original date of consumer purchase. 
This warranty does not include damage to the product resulting from accident or
misuse. If the product should become defective within the warranty period, we will
repair it or elect to replace it free of charge. 
This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which
vary from state to state or province to province. Answers to any questions regarding

This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not
try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN:ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TOASTER AND ALLOW IT TO COOL BEFORE
CLEANING. Gently shake the toaster so crumbs fall on the crumb tray. Open the crumb
tray.
TO OPEN CRUMB TRAY:The crumb tray is located on the bottom of the toaster. To open
it, place toaster over a napkin or paper towel and tilt toaster slightly, just enough to pop
open crumb tray. DO NOT tilt toaster at too sharp an angle, or crumbs will fall back inside
it. Grasp knob on crumb tray and unlatch, holding toaster with open crumb tray over
napkin or towel, and shaking gently so crumbs fall out. Clean with a small brush, then
wipe with a slightly damp sponge and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth. After cleaning,
close and relatch crumb tray by sliding knob upward slightly until latch is secured.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE TOASTER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. NEVER USE A
METAL IMPLEMENT TO DISLODGE CRUMBS.
CAUTION:TO PREVENT COUNTERTOP FROM BEING DAMAGED, THE TOASTER MUST
BE OPERATED WITH THE CRUMB TRAY IN PLACE, SECURELY CLOSED AND CLEANED OF
EXCESS FOOD. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TOASTER WHEN NOT USING.
EXTERIOR: Wipe surface with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they
may scratch the surface.
TO STORE:Unplug the toaster and store in its box or in a clean, dry place. Do not put
stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.
CARE AND CLEANING
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into any AC electrical
outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other type of outlet.
IMPORTANT:Before using, operate the toaster without bread in order to burn off
residues on the heating elements. When doing this, we suggest that you set the shade
selectors at a medium setting.
HOW TO USE
The toaster lever, shade selector and toasting wells on the right side of the toaster work
independently from the toaster lever, shade selector and toasting wells on the left side.
However, both sides may be used simultaneously to toast or heat a variety of foods. For
example the 2 wells on the left side of the toaster may be used for toasting bread to the
desired shade, while in the right 2 wells pastries may be heating simultaneously. Its like
having two toasters in one!
Adjust the shade selector(s) to the desired setting. Exact settings are difficult to
recommend due to personal preference; experiment to suit individual taste. Thick foods
and those containing fillings will require a longer toasting time. Turn selector(s) toward
maximum (6) setting to increase toasting time. Some frozen pastries and toaster foods
may requiretwoheating cycles for proper results.
Remove all protective wrappings from food before placing in toasting wells. (Avoid
toasting torn slices of bread and broken pastries, which may get lodged in toasting
wells.) Place bread or toaster food into toasting wells and depress the lever(s).
SELF-ADJUSTING BREAD GUIDES: The self-adjusting bread guides automatically center
all thicknesses of breads, bagels and pastries.
When toast or toaster food is ready, it will pop up automatically, and the toaster will
switch off.

INSTRUCCIONES DE SEGURIDAD
ENCHUFE POLARIZADOEste artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es m‡s ancha que la otra). Como

en un solo sentido. Si no entrara en el tomacorriente, invierta el enchufe y trate

CORDON ELECTRICO
Un cord—n le es provisto para reducir el peligro resultante del enredo o tropiezos que
causa uno m‡s largo. Una extensi—n puede ser usada con cuidado; sin embargo, la

Este artefacto es para USO DOMESTICO SOLAMENTE. Puede ser enchufado en
cualquier tomacorriente de corriente alterna (corriente ordinaria domŽstica). No use
ningœn otro tipo de tomacorriente.
IMPORTANTE:Antes de usarla, haga funcionar la tostadora sin pan para as’ quemar
todos los residuos de los elementos de calentamiento. Cuando haga esto, le sugerimos
que coloque el selector para el nivel de tostadura en la posici—n mediana.
COMO USAR ESTA TOSTADORA
La palanca de funcionamiento, el selector para la tostadura y las ranuras de la tostadora
del lado derecho funcionan independientemente de la palanca de funcionamiento,
selector para la tostadura y las ranuras de la tostadora del lado izquierdo. Sin embargo,
ambos lados pueden ser usadas simult‡neamente para tostar o calentar una variedad de
alimentos. Por ejemplo, usted puede usar las dos (2) ranuras del lado izquierdo de la
tostadora para tostar pan a la tostadura deseada, mientras que en las dos (2) ranuras del
lado derecho puede calentar pasteles. ÁEs como tener dos tostadoras en una!
Ajuste el(los) selector(es) para el nivel de tostadura a la posici—n deseada. Una posici—n
exacta es dif’cil de recomendar debido a la preferencia personal; experimente con su
gusto individual. Porciones abundantes o aquellas que contengan relleno requerir‡n un
tiempo m‡s largo para tostarse. Seleccione una posici—n mediana o alta (6) para
aumentar tiempo. Algunos pasteles congelados y alimentos para tostar pueden requerir
dosciclos de calentamiento para un resultado adecuado.
Remueva todas las envolturas protectoras de la comida antes de colocarlas en las
ranuras de la tostadora. (Evite tostar un pedazo de una rebanada de pan o pedazos de
pasteles, lo cual puede quedarse en el interior de las ranuras de la tostadora.)

Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que puedan ser
reparadas por el usuario. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si necesita reparaci—n
rem’talo a personas calificadas.
PARA LIMPIAR:SIEMPRE DESENCHUFE LA TOSTADORA Y DEJE QUE SE ENFRIE ANTES
DE LIMPIARLA. Suavemente sacuda la tostadora para que la migajas caigan a la
bandeja. Abra la bandeja.
PARA ABRIR LA BANDEJA PARA LAS MIGAJAS: La bandeja para las migajas est‡
ubicada en la parte de abajo de la tostadora. Para abrirla, coloque la tostadora sobre
una servilleta o papel toalla y ladee la tostadora ligeramente, lo suficiente para abrir la
bandeja. NO ladee la tostadora demasiado, si lo hace las migajas se ir‡n dentro de la
tostadora. Sujete la perilla en la bandeja para desenganchar, sostenga la tostadora con
la bandeja abierta sobre una servilleta o papel toalla y sacuda suavemente para que
salgan las migajas. L’mpiela con una brocha peque–a, luego con un pa–o ligeramente
humedecido y sŽquela con un pa–o suave. DespuŽs de limpiarla, cierre y asegure la
bandeja deslizando ligeramente hacia arriba hasta que estŽ asegurada.
NOTA: NUNCA SUMERJA LA TOSTADORA EN EL AGUA O CUALQUIER OTRO LêQUIDO.
NUNCA USE UN IMPLEMENTO DE METAL PARA SACAR LAS MIGAJAS.
