Focus Modes
The camera will focus your images either automatically, or at pre-defined distances to your
subject by using: [AF] AUTO FOCUS, [  ] MACRO, [  ] INFINITY, [ 1m ] FIXED AT
1 Meter (3 feet) or [ 3m ] FIXED AT 3 Meters (9 feet) .
Your focus preference will remains after the power is turned OFF manually or by auto
power OFF.

Flash Modes
The flash is designed to function automatically when lighting conditions warrant the use of
flash. You can take an image using a flash mode suitable to your circumstances.
The effective flash distance is about 0.5m to 4.4m (1.5 to 13 feet) with the lens at wide
    position and ISO400.
Your flash setting is remained after the power is turned OFF manually or by auto power

Self-timer
When the self-timer is set, the camera automatically takes a shot after 10 or 2 seconds,
according to your preference. This allows you to get into the scene when taking group
images.

Digital Zoom
Using digital zoom, images can be enlarged even beyond the extent of the optical zoom so
that the subject appears even closer. As the lens reaches the extent of its optical zoom
range, digital zoom can be utilized. To use the digital zoom it must be enabled in the
photography setup menu. Once enabled, you may use digital zoom by first extending the
lens to its fullest extent. Then press the (T) telephoto button so zoom digitally in a

Exposure (EXP)
Using the exposure settings, [PRG] PROGRAM, [Av] APERTURE PRIORITY, [Tv]
SHUTTER SPEED PRIORITY, and [M] MANUAL, you can capture images with precision
control.
[PRG] PROGRAM
In program mode, the camera automatically sets the shutter speed and the aperture value
according to the brightness of the subject. This allows you to capture images with ease just

[Tv] SHUTTER SPEED PRIORITY
In the shutter-priority mode, images are taken with the priority given to the shutter speed.
The aperture is automatically set according to the shutter speed that you specify. If you
select a fast shutter speed, you can take images of moving subjects that look they are still.
If you set a slow shutter speed, you can take images that make you feel as if the subject is
rushing by, capturing the essence of motion.

White Balance
The human eye adapts to changes in light so that white objects still appear white even
when the light changes. With cameras, however, the color of the subject is influenced by
the color of the light surrounding it. This color adjustment is called “white balance
adjustment”. This setting allows you to set the white balance when capturing images under
specific lighting condition.

Exposure Compensation
Your camera adjusts the exposure of each scene automatically. However, if the subject is
very dark, or very bright, you may override the camera automatic exposure determination
to make the subject brighter or darker. This is called EV compensation.
The EV compensation of the camera can be adjusted from -2.0EV to +2.0EV in 0.3EV steps.
