    Adjusting the zoom and focus
    1.	Use	the	zoom	rng	to	adjust	the	screen	sze.		
    2.	Use	the	focus	rng	to	focus	the	pcture.
    Operating
    Focus	rngZoom	rng
    Adjusting the projector's elevator
    When	the	place	to	put	the	projector	s	slghtly	uneven	to	the	left	or	rght,	use	the	
    elevator	feet	to	place	the	projector	horzontally.	
    Usng	the	feet	can	also	tlt	the	projector	n	order	to	project	at	
    a	sutable	angle	to	the	screen,	elevatng	the	front	sde	of	the	
    projector	wthn	12	degrees.
    Ths	projector	has	2	elevator	feet	and	2	elevator	knobs.	 An	elevator	foot	s	
    adjustable	whle	pullng	up	the	elevator	knob	on	the	same	sde	as	t.
    1.	Holdng	the	projector,	pull	the	elevator	knobs	up	to	loose	the	elevator	feet.
    2.	Poston	the	front	sde	of	the	projector	to	the	desred	heght.
    3.	Release	the	elevator	knobs	n	order	to	lock	the	elevator	feet.
    4.	After	makng	sure	that	the	elevator	feet	are	locked,	put	the	projector	gently.
    5.	If	 necessary,	 the	elevator	 feet	can	be	manually	 twsted	to	make	 more	precse	
    adjustments.	Hold	the	projector	when	twstng	the	feet.
    CAUTION		►Do not handle the elevator knobs without holding the projector, 
    snce	the	projector	may	drop	down.
    ►Do not tilt the projector other than it elevating its front within 12 degrees using 
    the	adjuster	feet.	 A	tlt	of	the	projector	exceedng	the	restrcton	could	cause	
    malfuncton	or	shortenng	the	lfetme	of	consumables,	or	the	projector	tself.
    q
    To	loose	an	elevator	foot,	pull	up	the	
    elevator	knob	on	the	same	sde	as	t.To finely adjust, twist the foot.

    Adjusting the position
    1.	Press	the	POSITION	button	on	the	remote	control.	
    The	“POSITION”	ndcaton	wll	appear	on	the	screen.
    2.	Use the ▲/▼/◄/► cursor buttons to adjust the picture 
    poston.
    When	you	want	to	reset	the	operaton,	press	the	RESET 	button	
    on	the	remote	control	durng	the	operaton.
    To	complete	ths	operaton,	press	the	POSITION	button	agan.	
    Even	f	you	do	not	do	anythng,	the	dalog	wll	automatcally	
    dsappear	after	a	few	seconds.
    ● The POSITION button does not work for a signal from the USB STORAGE port.
    ● When this function is performed on a video signal, s-video signal or component  vdeo	sgnal,	some	mage	such	as	an	extra-lne	may	appear	at	outsde	of	the	
    pcture.
    ● When this function is performed on a video signal, s-video signal, or component vdeo	sgnal,	the	range	of	ths	adjustment	depends	on	the	OVER	SCAN	n	the	
    IMAGE	menu	settng.	It	s	not	possble	to	adjust	when	the	OVER	SCAN	s	set	
    to	10.
    Operating
    Using the automatic adjustment feature
    1.	Press	the	 AUTO	button	on	the	remote	control.		
    Pressng	ths	button	performs	the	followng.
    	For a PC signal	
    The	vertcal	poston,	the	horzontal	poston,	the	horzontal	
    phase	and	the	horzontal	sze	wll	be	automatcally	adjusted.
    	
    And	the	aspect	rato	wll	be	automatcally	set	to	default.	Make	
    sure	that	the	applcaton	wndow	s	set	to	ts	maxmum	sze	
    pror	to	attemptng	to	use	ths	feature.	 A	dark	pcture	may	stll	
    be	ncorrectly	adjusted.	Use	a	brght	pcture	when	adjustng.
    	For a signal from the USB STORAGE	
    The	aspect	rato	wll	be	automatcally	set	to	the	default.
    	For a video signal, s-video signal or component video signal	
    The	vdeo	format	best	suted	for	the	respectve	nput	sgnal	wll	be	selected	
    automatcally.	 Ths	functon	s	avalable	only	when	the	 AUTO	s	selected	for	
    the	VIDEO	FORMAT 	tem	n	the	INPUT	menu.	
    	
    The 	vert cal 	pos t on, 	hor zontal 	pos t on 	and 	aspect 	rat o 	w ll 	be 	automat cally	
    set	to	the	default.	For	a	component	vdeo	sgnal,	also	the	horzontal	phase	
    wll	be	automatcally	set	to	the	default.
    ● The automatic adjustment operation requires about 10 seconds. Also please  note	that	t	may	not	functon	correctly	wth	some	nput.	When	ths	functon	
    s	performed	for	a	vdeo	sgnal,	a	certan	extra	such	as	a	lne	may	appear	
    outsde	a	pcture.

    Operating
    Using the magnify feature
    1.	Press	the	ON	button	of	MAGNIFY	on	the	remote	control.			
    The	“MAGNIFY”	ndcaton	wll	appear	on	the	screen	(although	
    the	ndcaton	wll	dsappear	n	several	seconds	wth	no	
    operaton),	and	the	projector	wll	go	nto	the	MAGNIFY 	mode.
    2.	Use the ▲/▼ cursor buttons to adjust the zoom level. 	
    To	move	the	zoom	area,	press	the	POSITION	button	n	the	
    MAGNIFY mode, then use the ▲/▼/◄/► cursor buttons to move the 
    area. And to finalize the zoom area, press the POSITION button again.
    To 	ex t 	from 	the 	MAGNIFY 	mode 	and 	restore 	the 	screen 	to 	normal,	
    press	the	OFF	button	of	MAGNIFY 	on	the	remote	control.	
    ● The projector automatically exits from the MAGNIFY mode when the input 
    sgnal	s	changed,	or	when	the	dsplay	condton	s	changed.	
    ● Although in the MAGNIFY mode, the keystone distortion condition may vary, it wll	be	restored	when	the	projector	exts	from	the	MAGNIFY 	mode.
    NOTE		•	The zoom level can be finely adjusted. Closely watch the screen to 
    find the level you want.
    Correcting the keystone distortions
    1.	Press	the	KEYSTONE	button	on	the	remote	control.	 A	dalog	
    wll	appear	on	the	screen	to	ad	you	n	correctng	the	dstorton.
    2.	Use the ▲/▼ cursor buttons to select the AUTO or MANUAL 
    operation, and press the ► button to perform the following.  
    (1) 		The 	AUTO 	executes 	automat c 	vert cal 	keystone 	correct on. 	
    (2)		 The	MANUAL 	dsplays	a	dalog	for	keystone	correcton.	
    	
    Use the ▲/▼ buttons for adjustment.
    To	close	the	dalog	and	complete	ths	operaton,	press	the	
    KEYSTONE	button	agan.	Even	f	you	do	not	do	anythng,	the	
    dalog	wll	automatcally	dsappear	after	a	few	seconds.
    ● The adjustable range of this correction will vary among inputs. For some input,  ths	functon	may	not	work	well.
    ● When V:INVERT or H&V:INVERT is selected to the MIRROR item in the SETUP 	menu,	f	the	projector	screen	s	nclned	or	angled	downward,	ths	
    functon	may	not	work	correctly.
    ● When the zoom adjustment is set to the TELE (telephoto focus), the automatic  keystone	dstorton	correcton	may	be	excessve.	 Ths	functon	should	be	used	when	
    the	zoom	adjustment	s	set	to	the	full	WIDE	(wde-angle	focus)	whenever	possble.
    ●  When	the	projector	s	placed	on	the	level	(about	±0°),	the	automatc	keystone	
    dstorton	correcton	may	not	work.
    ●  When	the	projector	s	nclned	to	near	±30	degree	or	over,	ths	functon	may	not	work	well.
    ● Ths	functon	wll	be	unavalable	when	 Transton	Detector	s	on.

    Operating
    Temporarily blanking the screen
    1.	Press	the	BLANK	button	on	the	remote	control.		
    The	blank	screen	wll	be	dsplayed	nstead	of	the	screen	of	
    nput	sgnal.	Please	refer	to	the	BLANK	tem	n	the	SCREEN	
    menu.
    To	ext	from	the	blank	screen	and	return	to	the	nput	sgnal	
    screen,	press	the	BLANK	button	agan.	
    ● The projector automatically returns to the input signal screen  when	one	of	the	projector’s	buttons	or	the	remote	control	buttons	
    (except	 ASPECT,	POSITION	or	FREEZE	button,	also	except	
    MY 	BUTTON1/2	f	 AUTO	KEYSTONE	or	MyMemory	or	PICTURE	MODE	s	
    assgned	on	these	buttons)	s	pressed.
    NOTE 		•	The	sound	s	not	connected	wth	the	blank	screen	functon.	If	
    necessary, set the volume or mute first.
    Freezing the screen
    1.	Press	the	FREEZE	button	on	the	remote	control.		
    The	“FREEZE”	ndcaton	wll	appear	on	the	screen,	and	the	
    projector	wll	go	nto	the	FREEZE	mode.
    To	ext	the	FREEZE	mode	and	restore	the	screen	to	normal,	
    press	the	FREEZE	button	agan.	
    ● The projector automatically exits from the FREEZE mode  when	one	of	the	projector’s	buttons	or	remote	control	buttons	
    of	STANDBY/ON,	SEARCH,	COMPUTER/STORAGE,	VIDEO,	
    BLANK,	 AUTO,	VOLUME,	MUTE,	KEYSTONE,	MENU,	
    MAGNIFY 	and	MY	BUTTON1/2(except	MyMemory	or	PICTURE	MODE	s	
    assgned	to)	s	pressed.
    ● If the projector continues projecting a still image for a long time, the LCD panel  mght	possbly	be	burned	n.	Do	not	leave	the	projector	n	the	FREEZE	mode	
    for	too	long.

    Operating
    Using the menu function
    Ths	projector	has	the	followng	menus:	PICTURE,	IMAGE,	INPUT,	SETUP,	SCREEN,	
    OPTION	and	EASY	MENU.	EASY	MENU	conssts	of	functons	often	used,	and	the	other	
    menus are classified into each purpose. Each of these menus is operated using the same 
    methods.	The	basc	operatons	of	these	menus	are	as	follows.
    1.	Press	the	MENU	
    button	on	the	remote	
    control	or	the	projector.
    	
    The	 Advanced	MENU,	
    or	EASY 	MENU	that	
    has	prorty	just	after	
    powered	on,	wll	appear.
    	
    Whle	the	projector	s	
    d splay ng 	any 	menu, 	the	
    INPUT/ENTER 	button 	on	
    the	projector	works	as	
    the	ENTER	button	and	the	MENU	button	on	the	projector	works	as	the	cursor	
    buttons.
    In the EASY MENU
    2.	If	you	want	to	change	t	to	the	 Advanced	
    Menu,	select	the	“Go	to	 Advanced	
    Menu...”
    3.	Use the ▲/▼ cursor buttons to select an 
    tem	to	operate.
    4.	Use the ◄/► cursor buttons to operate 
    the	tem.
    In the Advanced MENU
    2.	Use the ▲/▼ cursor buttons to select a menu.	
    If	you	want	to	change	t	to	the	EASY 	MENU,	select	the	EASY	MENU.	Then press the ► cursor button, or the ENTER button to select an item.  The 
    lower	layer	menu	of	the	selected	tem	wll	appear.
    3.	Use the ▲/▼ cursor buttons to select an item to operate.	Then	press	the	►	cursor	button,	or	the	ENTER	button	to	progress.	 The	operaton	menu	
    of	the	selected	tem	wll	appear.
    4.	Use the ▲/▼ cursor buttons to operate the item.	
    Some	functons	cannot	be	performed	when	a	certan	nput	port	s	selected,	or	
    when	a	certan	nput	sgnal	s	dsplayed.
    	When	you	want	to	reset	the	operaton,	press	the	RESET 	button	on	the	remote	control	
    durng	the	operaton.	Note	that	some	tems	(ex.	LANGUAGE,	H	PHASE,	VOLUME)	
    cannot	be	reset.
    	In the Advanced Menu, when you want to return to the previous display, press the ◄ 
    cursor	button,	or	the	ESC	button	on	the	remote	control.
    5.	Press	the	MENU	button	on	the	remote	control	agan	to	close	the	menu	
    and	complete	ths	operaton.	Even	f	you	do	not	do	anythng,	the	dalog	wll	
    automatcally	dsappear	after	about	10	seconds.

    KEYSTONE Using the ◄/► buttons corrects the vertical keystone distortion.

     PICTURE MODE
    Using the ◄/► buttons switches the picture mode. 
    The picture modes are combinations of GAMMA and COLOR TEMP settings. Choose a suitable mode according to the projected source.

    From the EASY MENU, items shown in the table below can 
    be performed. 
    Select an item using the ▲/▼ cursor buttons. Then perform

    FILTER TIME
    Performing this item resets the filter time which counts usage time of the air filter.A dialog is displayed for confirmation. Selecting the RESET using the ▲ button performs resetting.

    Choose an item using the ◄/► buttons, and 	adjust the level using the ▲/▼ buttons. 
    You	can	dsplay	a	test	pattern	for	checkng	the	effect	of	your	
    adjustment	by	pressng	the	ENTER	button.	Each	tme	you	press	the	
    ENTER	button,	the	pattern	changes	as	below.

     	Gray	scale	of	15	steps
    The	eght	equalzng	bars	correspond	to	eght	tone	levels	of	the	
    test	pattern	except	the	darkest	n	the	left	end.	If	you	want	to	adjust	
    the	2nd	tone	from	left	end	on	the	test	pattern,	use	the	equalzng	
    adjustment	bar	“1”.	 The	darkest	tone	at	the	left	end	of	the	test	
    pattern	cannot	be	controlled	wth	any	of	equalzng	adjustment	bar.
    •	 When	ths	functon	s	performed,	lnes	or	other	dstorton	may	
    appear.
    From 	the 	PICTURE 	menu, 	 tems 	shown 	 n	the 	table 	below	
    can	be	performed.

    COLOR TEMP
    Using the ▲/▼ buttons switches the color temperature mode.
    To adjust CUSTOM
    Selectng	a	mode	whose	name	ncludes	CUSTOM and then pressing the ► button or the 
    ENTER	button	dsplays	a	dalog	to	ad	you	n	
    adjustng	the	OFFSET	and	GAIN	of	the	selected	
    mode.
    OFFSET	adjustments	change	the	color	ntensty	
    on	the	whole	tones	of	the	test	pattern.
    GAIN	adjustments	manly	affect	color	ntensty	
    on	the	brghter	tones	of	the	test	pattern.
    Choose an item using the ◄/► buttons, and adjust the level using the ▲/▼ buttons. 
    You	can	dsplay	a	test	pattern	for	checkng	the	effect	of	your	
    adjustment	by	pressng	the	ENTER	button.	Each	tme	you	press	the

    of	the	PICTURE	menu).
    Selecting a function using the ▲/▼ buttons and pressing the ► or 
    ENTER	button	performs	each	functon.LOAD1

    pcture	automatcally	dependng	on	the	data.	
    •	 The	LOAD	functons	whose	lnked	memory	has	no	data	are	
    skpped.
    •	Remember	that	the	current	adjusted	condton	wll	be	lost	by	
    loadng	data.	If	you	want	to	keep	the	current	adjustment,	please	
    save	t	before	performng	a	LOAD	functon.
