34 The product’s light source is a mercury lamp that lights at increased internal press\ ure. Be sure to fully understand the following characteristics of the lamp and handle it\ with extreme care. •The lamp may burst with a loud noise due to impact or deterioration, or \ fail to light at the expiration of its life. • How long it takes before the lamp bursts or the life expires may vary gr\ eatly by lamp. 35 Maintenance 1Unplug power cord. 2Wait until lamp is sufficiently cooled. W ait for at least 1 hour. 3Remove the lamp cover. Loosen the screws on the lamp cover and remove the lamp cover. 4Pull out the lamp. Loosen the screws on the bottom of the lamp assembly. Grasp the lamp handle and pull the lamp assembly directly out of the projector. 5Mount the new lamp. Be careful not to break used lamps, and dispose of them in acco\ rdance with local regulations. The projector is in good condition on working. The lamp is in good condition and is projecting at maximum brightness. The lamp has reached its end of life and must be changed soon.
