    • Only aDVC-SD signalcanbe
    inputfromtheDVCtothis unit. Other
    typesofsignals arenotsupported.
    • Donotconnect anydeviceotherthan theDVC.EvenifarecorderorPC
    withanotherDVterminalisconnected, theDVfunctionwillnotoperate.
    • If
    theDVCisnotrecognized afterconnection,turnoffthepowersupply
    fortheunitandre-connect theDVC.
    •SignalinputorDVCoperation fromthisunitmaybedisabled
    dependingonthetypeofDVC.·IfaDVCsignal cannot beinput, useanexternalinput(L1/L2)foranalog
    connection via
    audio/videocables.
    •
    DVCcontrol maybedisableddependingon the typeofDVC,even inamodeotherthan camera mode.Inthiscase,switchtoDVDcontroland
    executethenormal recording procedure whileoperating theDVC.
    •Some functions maynotoperatedependingonthe typeofDVC.For
    example,iftheDVCdoesnotsupportslow playback mode,theslow
    playback
    functionisdisabled.
    • WithL3(DV),the disc display menudoesnotappear unlessdisc
    playback
    isexecuted.
    • For recording
    withtheDVC,the recording audiosignal canbesetto12bitsor16bits. However,when16-bit recordingmodeisselected, audio
    signal cannot beswitched. Torecord anaudio signal, setitto12bits.
    ·Ifthe setup menu appears ontheTVscreen,press[RETURN]toexit.
    • Check
    iftheprogressivescanmodeisset correctly accordingtoyourTV(page94).
    • Clean thedisc
    withacleaning cloth.
    • If the picture
    outputsignal fromtheexternal devicespassesthrough this
    unittogettoyourTV,the copy protection signalappliedtosomeDVDcould
