49 Appendix Cleaning the lens■Use a commercially available blower or lens cleaning paper (for glasses and camera lenses) for cleaning the lens. Do not use any liquid type cleaning agents, as they may wear off the coating film on the surface of the lens. ■ As the surface of the lens can easily get damaged, be careful not to scrape or hit the lens. 50 Cleaning and Replacing the Dust Filters Cleaning the Dust Filters •The dust filters should be cleaned every 100 hours of use. Clean the filters more often when the projector is used in a dusty or smoky location. Press STANDBY/ON on the projec- tor to put the projector into standby mode. •W ait until the cooling fan stops. • Disconnect the power cord and unplug the power cord from the AC socket. 52 Maintenance Indicators About the lamp indicator ■When the remaining lamp life becomes 5% or less, (yellow) and “Change The Lamp” will be displayed on the screen. When the percentage becomes 0%, it will change to (red), the lamp will automatically turn off and then the projector will automatically enter standby mode. 55 Appendix Removing and Installing the Lamp Unit •Make sure that you remove the lamp unit by the handle. Do not touch the glass surface of the lamp unit or the inside of the projector. •T o avoid injury to yourself and damage to the lamp, make sure you carefully follow the steps below. • Do not loosen other screws except for the lamp unit cover and lamp unit.
