69 Using the Internet Using Applications via the Internet By connecting the TV to the Internet, you can enjoy a variety of broadband content, including videos, movies, music, photos, and games. Please check that the most current software is loaded on TV by selecting "Auto Update Setting" on "Software Update" (see page 38) or by visiting http://www.sharpusa.com/products/support/ to check for a download of the newest software version. 1PressAPPS to display the application window. 71 Appendix Removing the Stand •Before detaching (or attaching) the stand, unplug the AC cord. CAUTION • Do not remove the stand from the TV unless using a wall mount bracket to\ mount it. Before attaching/detaching the stand • Before performing work, make sure to turn off the TV. Unfasten the four screws used to secure the stand in place.Detach the stand from the TV. 12 • To attach the stand, perform the above steps in reverse order. • In the installation procedure, be careful not to catch your fi ngers between the TV set and the fl oor. -$-&6@&JOEC

72 Setting the TV on the Wall The wall mount kit (sold separately) allows you to mount the TV on the\ wall. For detailed information on installing the wall mount, see the instructi\ ons provided with the product. We recommend you to contact a technician for assistance when installing it.\ SHARP is not responsible for any damage to the product or injury to yourself or others if you elect to install the wall mount on your own. CAUTION • Install your wall mount on a solid wall perpendicular to the fl oor. When you want to attach the wall mount to surfaces other than plaster bo\ ard, please contact your nearest retailer/adviser for additional information. If you install the TV on a \ ceiling or slanted wall, it may fall and result in severe personal injury. Always have two people mount the TV on a wall. In this case, \ in addition to connecting an HDMI-certifi ed cable to the HDMI 1 terminal, connect a Ø 3.5 mm stereo minijack cable to the AUDIO IN terminal and set "Audio Select" to "HDMI+Analog". Page 57 • If you are using a DVI-HDMI conversion cable to connect external equipme\ nt to the TV, check the following: - Is an audio cable connected? The DVI-HDMI conversion cable is for video \ only. Connect a Ø 3.5 mm stereo minijack cable to listen to the audio. - Is HDMI 1 being used? When the TV is connected to another HDMI terminal,\ the audio and video are not output together even if a Ø 3.5 mm stereo min\ ijack cable is connected to the shared AUDIO IN terminal for PC IN and HDMI 1. - Check the "Audio Select" setting. Page 57 • Picture quality of HD programs is poor. • To enjoy HD images from external equipment, you are required to set up H\ DMI connection or component connection. • If the program content is not of HD quality, HD images cannot be display\ ed. Check that the program you are viewing provides HD images. • The HD cable/satellite set-top box may need to be confi gured to output HD images via cable/satellite. • The cable/satellite broadcast may not support a signal resolution of 108\ 0p. • The TV sometimes makes a cracking sound. • This is not a malfunction. This happens when the cabinet slightly expand\ s and contracts according to change in temperature. This does not affect the T\ V's performance. • The original home page cannot be displayed. • Is the ETHERNET cable connected correctly? Page 60 • Check the settings of "Internet Setup". Pages 62 to 63 • Some Internet functions used on a PC are not available from the TV. • The TV has only limited functions compared with regular PC browsers.
