Glossary 147 PUK (PIN Unblocking Key) Security code used to unlock the phone when an incorrect PIN has been entered three times in succession. The eight-digit number is supplied by the service provider with the SIM card. Roaming Use of your phone when you are outside your home area (when travelling for example). SDN (Service Dialing Numbers) Telephone numbers supplied by your network provider and giving access to special services, such as voice mail, directory inquiries, customer support and emergency services. SIM (Subscriber Identification Module) Card containing a chip with all the information required to operate the phone (network and memory information, as well as the subscriber’s personal data). The SIM card fits into a small slot on the back of the phone and is protected by the battery. SMS (Short Message Service) Network service sending and receiving messages to and from another subscriber without having to speak to the correspondent. The message created or received can be displayed, received, edited or sent.

Access the Menu Functions ➀Press the Menu soft key. ➁Scroll with the UP and DOWN arrow keys through the list of the menus until you reach the required menu.➂Press the Select soft key. ➃Scroll with the UP and DOWN arrow keys through the list of the options until the required one is selected.➄Press the Select soft key. • Each of the two soft keys ( and ) perform the function indicated by the text above it (bottom line in the display). Switch On/Off Press and hold the key. Make a Call ➀Key in the number.➁Press the key. End a Call Briefly press the key. View Missed Calls Immediately After Missing Them➀Open the phone and press the View soft key. ➁Scroll with the UP and DOWN arrow keys through the missed calls.➂To return the call, press the key. Choose the Alert Ty p e ➀Select the Alert Type menu option ( 4.3 ). ➁Select an option: •Light only•Melody•Vibration•Vibra+Melody ➂Press the Select soft key. Store Numbers in the Phonebook ➀Key in the number.➁Press the Save soft key. ➂Select an icon for label.➃Press the Select soft key. ➄Enter the name.➅Press the OK soft key. ➆If necessary, change the location.➇Press the OK soft key. ➈Press the key to return to idle mode.
