    Basic Features
    Clock	Set: Set the Day, Month, Year, Hour and Minute 
    manually.

    Using	the	Sleep	Timer
     ■Sleep	Timer	t: Automatically shut\os o\f\f the TV 
    a\fter a preset period o\f time. \o(30, 60, 90, 120, \o150 and 
    180 minutes).
     ✎To cancel Sleep	Timer, select Off .
    Setting	the	On	/	Off	Timer
     ■On	Timer	1	/	On	Timer	2	/	On	Timer	3: Three di\f\ferent 
    on timer settin\bs can\o be made. You must set the cloc\ok 
    first. Setup: Select Off, Once, Everyday, Mon~Fri, 
    Mon~Sat, Sat~Sun or Manual to set at you 
    convenience. I\f you s\oelect Manual, you can set up th\oe 
    day you want to acti\ovate the timer.
     ✎The c mark indicates the day is selected.
    On	Time: Set the hour and \o minute.
    Volume: Set the desired volume level.
    Source: Select TV or USB content to be playe\od when 
    the TV is turned on automatically\o. (USB can be selected 
    only when a USB dev\oice is connected to th\oe TV)
    Antenna (when the Source is set to TV): Select ATV or 
    DTV.
    Channel (when the Source is set to TV): Select the 
    desired channel.
    Music / Photo (when the Source is set to USB): Select 
    a \folder in the USB \odevice containin\b musi\oc or photo 
    files to be played when the TV is turned on automatically.
     ✎\bOTE
     xI\f there is no music \file on the USB device or the 
    \folder containin\b a music \file is not selected, the 
    Timer \function does not operate correctly.
     xWhen there is only one photo \file in the USB, 
    the Slide Show will not play.
     xI\f a \folder name is too lon\b, the \folder cannot be 
    selected.
     xEach USB you use is assi\bned its own \folder. 
    When usin\b more than one o\f the same type o\f 
    USB, make sure the \folders assi\bned to each 
    USB have di\f\ferent names.
     xIt is recommended that you use a USB memory 
    stick and a multi card reader when usin\b On	Timer . The On	Timer \function may not work 
    with USB devices with a built-in battery, MP3 
    players, or PMPs made by some manu\facturers 
    because these devices take a lon\b time to be

    Prevent unauthorized \ousers, such as child\oren, \from 
    watchin\b unsuitable \opro\bramme with a user-defined 
    4-di\bit PIN code. I\f \oselected channel is \olocked, the “
    \” 
    symbol will be displ\oayed.
    Allow	All: Unlock All TV rat\oin\bs (Not supported \oin France 
    and Sweden).
     ✎When Program	Rating	Lock is set to 18 , the 
    PIN input screen appears be\fore chan\bin\b the 
    channels (France only).
     ✎You can block T V pro\brams by set up ratin\b in Program	Rating	Lock as the I (children),  T (All 
    public), SC (Unclassi\fied) and  X (X rated). When 
    Program	Rating	Lock is set to X, the PIN input 
    screen always be\fore chan\bin\b the channels 
    (Spain only).
     ✎You can block T V pro\brams by set up ratin\b in Program	Rating	Lock as the Children , Youth or 
    Adult  (Sweden only).
     ■Change	PI\b: The Change	PI\b screen will appear. 
    Choose any 4 di\bits \f\oor your PIN and ent\oer them. 
    Chan\be your personal\o ID number required to set up 
    the TV. Re-enter the sam\oe 4 di\bits. When the\o Confirm 
    screen disappears, you\or PIN has been mem\oorised.
    How	to	watch	a	restricted	channel
    I\f the TV is tuned \oto a restricted channel, t\ohe Program	Rating	Lock will block it. The \oscreen will \bo blank 
    and the \followin\b mes\osa\be will appear: T\ohis channel is 
    blocked by 
    Program	Rating	Lock. Please enter the\o PIN 
    to unblock.
     ✎I\f you \for\bet the PIN, press the remote-control 
    buttons in the \followin\b sequence, which resets

    Subtitle
    Use this menu to se\ot the Subtitle mode.

    screen remains idle with a s\otill ima\be \for a cert\oain period 
    o\f time defined by th\oe user, the screen saver is activat\oed 
    to prevent the \formation \oo\f \bhost ima\bes on the\o screen.

     ■Max.	Power	Saving (Off / On): Turn o\f\f PC monitor 
    when PC is not used\o \for certain len\bth o\o\f time to reduce 
    power consumption.
     ✎Available only  PC mode.

    Shows the re\bistration code auth\oorized \for the TV. I\f you 
    connect to the DivX w\oeb site and re\bister, you can download 
    the VOD re\bistration file. I\f y\oou play the VOD re\bistration 
    usin\b 
    My	Downloads, the re\bistration is complet\oed.

    Basic Features
    Common	Interface
     ■CI	Menu: This enables the \ouser to select \from the CAM-
    provided menu. Select \othe CI Menu based \oon the menu 
    PC Card.
     ■Application	Info: View in\formation on the\o CAM inserted 
    into the CI slot and\o on the “CI or CI+ \oCARD” which is 
    inserted into the CA\oM. You can install the C\oAM anytime 
    whether the TV is o\on or o\f\f.
    1.	 Purchase a CI CAM modu\ole at your nearest dealer or by 
    phone.
    2.	 Firmly insert the “\oCI or CI+ CARD” int\oo the CAM in the 
    direction o\f the arrow.
    3.	 Insert the CAM with\o the “CI or CI+ CAR\oD” into the 
    common inter\face slot,\o in the direction o\f the arrow so 
    that it ali\bns paral\olel with the slot.
    4.	 Check i\f you can see \oa picture on a scrambled si\b\onal 
    channel.

    You can watch the TV \otuner and one exter\onal video source 
    simultaneously. PIP (Picture-in-Picture) does not \function \oin 
    the same mode.

     xFor PIP sound, re\fer to the Sound	Select 
    instructions.
     xI\f you turn the T V o\f\f while watchin\b in PIP mode, the 
    PIP window will disappear.
     xYou may notice that the picture in the PIP window 
    becomes sli\bhtly unnatural when you use the main 
    screen to view a \bame or karaoke.
     xWhile Program	Rating	Lock is in operation, the PIP 
    \function cannot be used.

    the normal operation o\f the T V
     ■Picture	Test	(Yes	/	\bo): Use to check \for pi\octure 
    problems. 
    Yes: I\f the test patte\orn does not appear or\o there is 
    noise in the test pa\ottern, select Yes. There may be a 
    problem with the TV. Contact Samsun\b’s Call Centre \for 
    assistance.
    \bo: I\f the test patte\orn is properly displayed, s\oelect \bo. 
    There may be a problem with your exte\ornal equipment. 
    Please check your con\onections. I\f the problem persists, 
    re\fer to the external device’s user manual.
     ■Sound	Test	(Yes	/	\bo): Use the built-in \omelody sound to 
    check \for sound problems. 
     ✎I\f you hear no sound \from the T V’s speakers, 
    be\fore per\formin\b the sound test, make sure 
    Speaker	Select is set to T V	Speaker in the 
    Sound menu.
     ✎The melody will be heard durin\b the test even i\f Speaker	Select is set to External	Speaker or the 
    sound is muted by pressin\b the  MUTE button.
    Yes: I\f you can hear so\ound only \from one speaker or no\ot 
    at all durin\b the s\oound test, select Yes. There may be a 
    problem with the TV. Contact Samsun\b’s Call Centre \for 
    assistance.
    \bo: I\f you can hear so\ound \from the speakers, se\olect \bo. 
    There may be a problem with your exte\ornal equipment.

    Software	Upgrade
    Software	Upgrade can be per\formed vi\oa a broadcastin\b 
    si\bnal or downloadin\b \othe latest firmware \from “www.
    samsun\b.com,” to a U\oSB memory device.
    Current	Version the so\ftware already installed in t\ohe TV.  
     ✎So\ftware is represented as “Year/Month/Day_Version”.
    Installing	the	Latest	Version
     ■By	USB: Insert 
    a USB drive 
    containin\b the 
    firmware up\brade 
    file, downloaded 
    \from “www.
    samsun\b.com,” into th\oe TV. Please be care\ful not to 
    disconnect the power \oor remove the USB drive\o until 
    up\brades are complete. The TV \owill be turned o\f\f and 
    on automatically a\fte\or completin\b the firm\oware up\brade. 
    When so\ftware is up\braded, video\o and audio settin\bs \o
    you have made will \oreturn to their de\fault s\oettin\bs. We 
    advise you to write \odown your settin\bs s\oo that you can 
    easily reset them a\fter the\o up\brade.
     ■By	Channel: Up\brade the so\ftwa\ore usin\b the 
    broadcastin\b si\bnal.
     ✎I\f the \function is selected durin\b the so\ftware 
    transmission period, so\ftware will be automatically 
    searched and downloaded. 
     ✎The time required to download the so\ftware is 
    determined by the si\bnal status.
     ■Alternative	Software (backup): I\f there is an issue with 
    the new firmware and it is a\f\fectin\b operation, you\o can 
    chan\be the so\ftware to the previous version.
     ✎I\f the so\ftware was chan\bed, existin\b so\ftware is 
    displayed.
     ■Standby	Mode	Upgrade	(Off	/	1	hour	later	/	2	hours	later	/	00:00	/	02:00	/	12:00	/	14:00): A manual up\brade \o
    will be automaticall\oy per\formed at sele\octed time. Since 
    the power o\f the uni\ot is turned on internally, the screen 
    may be turned on sli\bhtly \for t\ohe LED product. This 
    phenomenon may contin\oue \for more than 1 hour until\o 
    the so\ftware up\brade is complet\oe.

    	¦Connecting	a	USB	Device
    1.	 Turn on your TV.
    2.	 Connect a USB device\o containin\b photo, mus\oic and/or movie files t\oo the USB 
    jack on the side o\f t\ohe TV.
    3.	 When USB is connecte\od to the TV, popup window appea\ors. Then you can se\olect 
    \bew	device	connected.
     ✎It mi\bht not work properly with unlicenced multimedia \files.
     ✎Need-to-Know List be\fore usin\b My	Downloads
     xMTP (Media Trans\fer Protocol) is not supported.
     xThe \file system supports FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS.
     xCertain types o\f USB Di\bital camera and audio devices may not be compatible with this T V.
     xMy	Downloads only supports USB Mass Stora\be Class (MSC) devices. MSC is a Mass Stora\be Class Bulk-Only 
    Transport device. Examples o\f MSC are Thumb drives, Flash Card Readers and USB HDD (USB HUB are not 
    supported). Devices should be connected directly to the T V’s USB port.
     xUSB (HDD) is not supported.

    not played, connect the USB device to the PC, \format the device and check the connection.
     xI\f a \file deleted \from the PC is still \found when My	Downloads is run, use the “Empty the Recycle Bin” \function on the 
    PC to permanently delete the \file.
     xMy	Downloads only supports sequential jpe\b \format.
     xThe scene search and thumbnail \functions are not supported in the Videos.

    Move to the desired file usin\b the u / d / l / r buttons and then p\oress the E\bTERE or � (Play) button. The\o file is

    1.		Press the u / d / l / r button to select th\oe desired Music 
    in the file list.
    2.	 Press the E\bTER
    E button or � (Play) button.
     –You can use � (REW) and μ (FF) buttons durin\o\b 
    playback.
     ✎Only displays the \files with MP3 and PCM \file extension. 
    Other \file extensions are not displayed, even i\f they are 
    saved on the same USB device.
     ✎I\f the sound is abnormal when playin\b MP3 \files, adjust the 
    Equalizer in the Sound menu. (An over-modulated MP3 \file 
    may cause a sound problem.)
    Playing	selected	music
    1.	 Press the { (Edit	Mode) button.
    2.	 Select the desired music.

    Viewing	a	Photo	(or	Slide	Show)

    button to start the\o slide show.
