The Changing Password Complete message screen appears. Press Enter or wait for the screen to close - about 5 seconds. Reset Resets Internet@TV to the factory default settings, removes all downloaded applications and services, erases all user settings, and then automatically begins the start-up procedure. NOTEIf you forgot your password, press the STOP ( ) button on the front panel of the product for more than 5 seconds with no disc inserted. Don’t use this unless absolutely necessary. Works the same as Reset. Internet@TV ID Use the Internet@TV ID function to create, manage, and delete personal Internet@TV accounts. Once you have established an account, you can link the account to service applications such as YouTube and Pandora. If you have an account on one of those sites, you can save the password for that account to your Internet@TV account and automatically access certain, password protected functions of that account through Internet@TV. Create Create an account and link it with desired service applications. NOTE The maximum number of accounts is 10. The maximum number of characters allowed in an ID is 8. How to Create an Internet@TV ID and Account Before creating a User account, you should download the services you want to link to through Samsung Apps on the Internet@TV main screen. For instructions, see Samsung Apps. To create an account, follow these steps: On the Internet@TV main screen, use the ▲▼◄► buttons to select Settings, and then press the ENTER (E ) button. 3. 4. ✎ ▪ ✎ ▪ ▪ 1. Press the ▼ button to select Internet@TV ID, and then press the ENTER (E ) or ► button. Select Create, and then press Enter. The Keypad and Interntet@TV ID screens appear. The Password screen appears. Using the remote, enter your four digit password. This password is for your Internet@TV account only. The Account Created screen appears. If you press the Enter button, you go to the Service Site screen where you can associate service sites where you have an account, such as Blockbuster, with your Internet@TV account and ID. If you press the Return button, you exit the account creation procedure. The Create Account Complete screen appears for about 5 seconds, and then closes. If you pressed Enter, go to How to Use the Service Site Screen below. If you pressed Return, go to Manager on page 72. How to Use the Service Site Screen The Service Site screen lets you associate service sites where you have accounts with your Internet@ TV account. You complete the association by entering your user ID and password for a site on the Service Site screen. After you have associated a site with your Internet@TV account, you will be able to log onto your Internet@TV account and then log onto the associated site and access certain site functions without having to enter the site ID or password. To Use the Service Site screen, follow these steps: Use the ▲▼ arrow buttons to select a Service Site you want to associate with your Internet@TV account, and then press the ENTER (E ) button. Using your remote and the on-screen Keypad, enter your site ID and password. Then, press the ENTER (E ) button. If you do, press Enter, and then go to Step 4. If not, press Return and return to the Settings Screen. If you pressed Enter, repeat Steps 1 and 2 to associate another Service site. When you are done, press the Return button. Manager On this screen you can access the following functions: Service Site : Register login information for service sites. Change Password : Change account password. Delete : Delete an account. Instructions for using these functions are below. Service Site On the Settings screen, select Internet@TV ID. When a service or application is locked, you must enter the Service Password to access it. Lock/Unlock On the Settings screen, select Service Manager, and then press Enter. On the Servioe Manager screen, use the ▲▼ arrow buttons to select an application or service. Use the ◄► buttons to select Lock/Unlock, and then press Enter. If Locked is displayed, the service is currently locked. If Unlocked is displayed, the service is currently unlocked. Enter the Service Lock Password. The Service Lock Activated or Service Lock Released message appears. Press Enter. NOTEAccessing a locked application requires the Service Lock Password. Some applications can not be locked. Delete On the Settings screen, select Service Manager, and then press Enter. On the Servioe Manager screen, use the ▲▼ arrow buttons to select an application or service. 74 English Network Services Using the Samsung Apps Screen To use the Samsung Apps screen, follow these steps: Use the ◄► buttons to move to the category list on the left. Use the ▲▼ to highlight a category. In a few seconds, the Samsung Apps screen displays the applications in that category. Use the ► button to move to the displayed applications. Use the ▲▼◄► buttons to select an application, and then press the ENTER (E ) button. The Application Details screen appears describing the sevice or application. Press the ENTER (E ) button. If the applications is free, it downloads. If not, and there is a fee, follow the directions on the screen to complete the download. NOTE Applications you have downloaded appear on the Internet@TV main screen. You can also access the tabs on the top of the screen using the ▲▼◄► buttons. English 75 05 Network Services BD-LIVE™ Once the product is connected to the network, you can enjoy various movie-related service contents using a BD-LIVE compliant disc.Attach a USB memory stick to the USB jack on the side of the home theater, and then check its remaining memory. The memory device must have at least 1GB of free space to accommodate the BD-LIVE services. Insert a Blu-ray disc that supports BD-LIVE. Select an item from various BD-LIVE service contents provided by the disc manufacturer. NOTE The way you use BD-LIVE and the provided contents may differ, depending on the disc manufacturer. Software Upgrade Notifi cation In network connection, the product will notice you of any new software version with a popup message. Turn on the product. In the Software Upgrade menu, set Auto Upgrade Notifi cation to On. (See page 54) If there is a new software version available, the product notifi es you with a pop-up message. To upgrade the fi rmware, select Yes on the pop-up. The home theater tunrs off automatically, then restarts, and begins the download. (Never turn the home theater on manually here.) The update progress popup appears. When the update is completed, the home theater turns off again automatically. Press the POWER button to turn on the product. NOTE Update is complete when the product turns off after restarting. Press the POWER button to turn on the updated product for your use. Never turn the home theater off or on manually during the update process. To use AllShare, you must connect the product to your PC via the network (See pages 36~37) and install the SAMSUNG PC Share Manager on the PC. To install and use Share Manager, follow these steps: Visit the Samsung website at www.samsung. com. Download the SAMSUNG PC Share Manager and install it on the PC. When the installation is completed, you will see the SAMSUNG PC Share Manager icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon to launch the application. To use Share Manager, follow these steps: Select a folder to share from the My computer pane, and then click the Share Folder Enabled icon ( ). (To remove a shared folder: Select a folder to remove from the shared folders, and then click the Share Folder Disabled icon ( ).) To apply the updated sharing state to the server, click the Set Change State icon ( ). To enable the product to locate a PC server, click Share from the menu bar. Click Set Device Policy and then click Accept . Click the Set Change State icon ( ) and then move to the home menu on the product. I\ f the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instructions below do not hel\ p, turn off the product, disconnect the power cord, and contact Samsung Electronics at 1-800-SAMS\ UNG. Symptom Check/Remedy I cannot eject the disc.• Is the power cord plugged securely into the outlet? • Turn off the power and then turn it back on. The iPod fails to connect. • Check the condition of the Wireless Transmitter, Charging Cradle and DC power adaptor connection. • Keep the iPod S/W version up to date. Playback does not start. • Check the region number of the BD/DVD. BD/DVD discs purchased from abroad may not be playable. • CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs cannot be played on this Product. • Make sure that the rating level is correct. Playback does not start immediately when the Play/Pause button is pressed.• Are you using a deformed disc or a disc with scratches on the surface? • Wipe the disc clean. 78 English Other information Symptom Check/Remedy Aspect ratio cannot be changed.• You can play 16:9 BD/DVDs in 16:9 Wide mode, 4:3 Letter Box mode, or 4:3\ Pan - Scan mode, but 4:3 BD/DVDs can be seen in 4:3 ratio only. Refer to\ the Blu-ray Disc jacket and then select the appropriate function. • The product is not working. (Example: The power goes out or a strange noise is heard.) • The Product is not working normally. • Press the STOP ( ) button (on front panel) for more than 5 seconds with no disc inside. - Using the RESET function will erase all stored settings. Do not use this unless necessary. You have forgotten the rating level passwordn. • With no disc in the product, press and hold the product's STOP ( ) button for longer than 5 seconds. "Not Available" appears on screen. • You cannot access the feature or complete the action at this time b\ ecause: 1. The BD/DVD’s software restricts it. 2. The BD/DVD’s software doesn’t support the feature (e.g., angles)\ 3. The feature is not available at the moment. 4. You’ve requested a title or chapter number or search time that is out\ of range. If the HDMI output is set to a resolution your TV cannot support (for example, 1080p), you may not see a picture on your TV. • Press the STOP ( ) button (on front panel) for more than 5 seconds with no disc inside. English 79 06 Other information Symptom Check/Remedy PC Share Manager function I can see folders shared through the PC Share Manager, but I cannot see the fi les.• Since it shows only fi les corresponding to the Image, Music, and Movie categories, fi les that do not correspond to these categories may not be displayed. AllShare function Video is played intermittently. Check if the network is stable. Check if the network cable is properly connected and if the network is n\ ot overloaded. Wireless connection between the server and the product is unstable. Check the connection.• • • AllShare connection between TV and PC is unstable.IP address under the same subnetwork should be unique, otherwise IP collision can results in such a phenomenon. Check if you have a fi rewall enabled. If so, disable the fi rewall function.• • BD-LIVE I cannot connect to the BD-LIVE server.• Check whether the network connection is successful or not by using Netwo\ rk Test menu. (See page 52) • Check whether the USB memory device is connected with product or not. • The memory device must have at least 1GB of free space to accommodate th\ e BD-LIVE service. You can check the available size in BD Data Management. (See page 47) • Please check whether the BD-LIVE Internet Connection menu is set to Allow (All). • If all above fails, contact the contents provider or update the lat\ est fi rmware.
