Contacts 57 Removing a Speed Dial Location 1. In theCONTACT LISTscreen, find and highlight the Contact you wish to remove from your Speed Dial list. (For more information, refer to “Finding a Contacts Entry” on page 49.) 2. Press Edit. 3. Highlight the number field marked by the Speed Dial icon ( ). 4. Press Options➔ Remove Speed Dial. Remove Speed dial? prompts you to confirm your desire to remove the entry. 5. Select Yes to remove the Speed Dial assignment. Speed dial removed pops up in the display, and you are returned to the EDIT CONTACTscreen. 6. Press SAVEto save your changes to the Contact. Favorites Set contacts or contact groups as Favorites to quickly find a contact or group to view, send a message, or call. Assigning Favorites 1. From theCONTACTSmenu, select Favorites. The FAVORITESscreen appears. 2. Highlight an EMPTY item in the list. Press ADD. The ADD FAVORITESscreen appears. The following options are available: From Contacts: Highlight and mark contact(s) to assign as favorites. You can mark multiple contacts at once to create a Favorite for each. From Groups: Choose a group to assign as a Favorite. 3. When you have finished marking Contacts or Groups, press Doneto automatically assign them to succeeding Favorite numbers. 4. To assign a contact or group to a particular Favorite number, from the ADD FAVORITESscreen press . The FAVORITESlist appears. Highlight the desired Favorite number; then perform step 2.
58 Removing Favorites 1. From theCONTACTSmenu, select Favorites. The FAVORITESlist appears. 2. Highlight the desired Favorite; then press Options. The following options are available: New Message: Send a message to the selected Contact. Remove: Erase the selected Favorites assignment. Remove All: Erase all Favorites assignments from the list. 3. Select the desired option. You are prompted to confirm your selected removal. 4. Select Yes to confirm the removal(s). Select No to retain the current Favorites. Using Favorites Use Favorites to quickly view a favorite’s contact record or group list, send a message to a favorite, or view messages to and from a favorite. 1. From the CONTACTSmenu, select Favorites. The Favorites list appears. 2. Highlight a favorite to use these options: To view all messages to and from the favorite, press Messages. For information about viewing and managing messages, see “Messages” on page 36. To view the favorite’s contact record, press VIEW. For information about creating and editing contacts, see “Adding a New Contact” on page 47 or see “Editing a Contacts Entry” on page 49. –To call the favorite, highlight the desired number and press Options ➔Call. –To send a message, press Options➔New Message. For information about creating and sending messages, see “Messages” on page 36.
Contacts 59 Memory Info The Memory Info menu option lets you see how many Contacts you’ve stored on your phone and the number of additional Contacts you can still store. n From theCONTACTSmenu, select Memory Info. The MEMORY INFO screen appears in the display, showing the Totalnumber of Contacts you can store, the number of Contact spaces Used, and remaining number of spaces Freeto store additional Contacts.

View your pictures and videos on your phone’s vivid color display. Play downloaded music. Instantly share your pictures, videos, and music with family and friends. Accessing Multimedia n In standby mode, press MENU; then select Multimedia. The MULTIMEDIAmenu appears in the display. Camera Taking Snap Shots (Single Pictures) To take a single picture using the current camera settings, do the following: 1. In standby mode, press and hold Camera (on the right side of the phone). –or– From the MULTIMEDIAmenu, selectCamera. 2. Using the display as a viewfinder, point the camera lens at your subject. 3. When the image that you wish to capture appears in the display, press CameraorTAKE.

The new photo appears in the display. 3. Press SEND. The picture is saved and the NEW MULTIMEDIA MSG screen appears in the display, with your new photo populating the Picturefield. 4. Address, compose, and send your Picture message. (For more information, refer to “Creating and Sending Multimedia Messages” on page 38.) Camera Options n In standby mode, press and holdCamera (on the right side of the phone). The following controls are available: Press My Pics to display the MY IMAGES gallery. Press TAKE to take a picture. Press Options to access the following Camera options: Modeindicates/changes the type of file to be captured:Camera(still pictures) orCamcorder(video). Shooting Modeindicates/changes Camera shooting mode to takeSinglepictures or multiple pictures, inContinuoussuccession or inMosaicshot mode. Resolutionindicates/changes resolution for new photos:3.2M,2M,1.3M,or0.3M. Brightnessindicates/changes the brightness of the picture, from1(darkest) to9(brightest). White Balanceindicates/changes the setting for the light source. ChooseAuto,Daylight,Incandescent,Fluorescent,orCloudy.
62After taking a picture, the following options appear in the display: : Press to save the photo. SEND: Press to save and send the photo in a Multimedia message. Erase: Press to delete the photo. Exposuremetering indicates/changes the way the camera determines the exposure. ChooseMatrix,Center-weighted,orSpot. Effectsindicates/changes the replacement of photo colors with None (normal colors), Black & White, Sepia, Negative, or Aqua. Night Shotindicates/changes the low light exposure toOff, to use available light, orOn, to enable infrared light sensing for low light conditions. Timerindicates/changes timer delay between pressingCameraand taking a photo. Set timer to (Off),2 Sec,5 Sec,or10 Sec. Viewfinder Modeindicates/changes whether theCamera displaysIcons, No Icons, or a Guidelinegrid. Settings: Photo Quality: Set image quality. Choose Superfine,Fine,orNormal. Auto Save: Set theCamera to let you manually save photos (Off) or to automatically save them (On). Shutter Sound: Set theCamera’s shutter sound to On or Off. Memory: Set theCamera to save photos toPhone or Cardmemory. Shortcuts: Show shortcuts for the settings that you use the most. Reset Settings: Reset all Camera settings to default values. Choose Yes or No.
Multimedia 63 Camcorder Recording Videos To record a video using the current camcorder settings, do the following: 1. In standby mode, press and hold Camera(on the right side of the phone). 2. From the Camera viewfinder, press Options; then select Camcorder. –or– From the MULTIMEDIAmenu, selectCamcorder.3. Using the display as a viewfinder, point the camera lens at your subject. 4. When the image that you wish to record appears in the display, press CameraorRECto start recording. 5. To stop recording, press CameraorSTOP.

The Camcorder viewfinder appears in the display. 3. Record a video by pressing CameraorREC to begin; then pressCameraorSTOPto end recording. The new video appears in the display. 4. Press Save. 5. Press Videos. 6. Select the video. Press Options. 7. Select Send. 8. In the SENDmenu, selectMultimedia Message. 9. Address, compose, and send your Video message. ChooseAuto,Daylight,Incandescent,Fluorescent,orCloudy. Effects: Set the Camcorder to replace video colors with None(normal colors), Black & White, Sepia, Negative, or Aqua. Timer: Set the delay between pressingCameraand recording a video. Set timer to (Off),2 Sec,5 Sec,or10 Sec.

66 Playing Videos 1. To display the video gallery: From the Camcorder viewfinder screen, press Videos. –or– From the MULTIMEDIAmenu, selectMy Videos. An array of video file thumbnail images appears in the display. 2. Highlight a video file, then press PLAY. The video begins playing as a partial-screen view.Video Playback Controls Volume –Press the Volume key up to play a video file louder.–Press the Volume key down to play a video file softer.–Press Mute/Unmute to play the video with or without sound. Navigation –PressCenter-Select tobegin/pause/resume playing a video file. –Press the Navigation Key down to stop playing a video file.–Press the Navigation Key left to skip to an earlier video file in the My Videoslist. –Press and hold the Navigation Key left to fast reverse through the current video file. –Press and hold the Navigation Key right to fast forward through the current video file. –Press the Navigation Key right to skip to a later video file in the My Videoslist. –Press the Navigation Key up to zoom in on the current video.
