6. Troubleshooting This chapter explains the basic problems and troubleshooting methods when an indicator light is lit. Indicator Display List The projector uses the [Power] button, indicators, and beeps to notify you if a malfunction occurs. Check the indicator's status, and implement the following measures. Common Problems If you think a malfunction has occurred, check the following before contacting your service representative.ProblemSolutionsPower does not turn on.• Make sure the power plug or connector is connected correctly. • Make sure the lamp cover is mounted correctly. For details, see page 146 "Replacing the Lamp". • When the projector is installed on a ceiling and lens- down, be sure to press the [Power] button and wait until the projector cooling process completes before disconnecting the power cord. If you disconnect the power cord without pressing the [Power] button or the projector's power is turned off suddenly due to a power outage, you cannot turn the projector back on for up to approximately 25 minutes because it needs to release the internal heat. Wait until the projector cools down.Power turns off during use.• Make sure the environment in which the projector is being used is within the acceptable temperature range. • Make sure the vents are not blocked.6.
