Receiving and Storing CID Records When you receive a call, Caller ID information is transmitted by the phone company to your telephone between the first and second ring. The Caller ID information appears on your phone’s display while the phone rings, giving you a chance to monitor the information and decide whether or not to answer. Transferring CID Records to Memory You may transfer a Caller ID record to your phone’s memory. NOTE: It is important that you format CID records correctly before storing in memory. Troubleshooting Guide Telephone Solutions No dial tone • Check and repeat installation steps: Ensure the base power cord is connected to a working outlet. Ensure the telephone line cord is connected to the base and the wall jack . • Connect another phone to the same jack; if there is still no dial tone, the problem might be your wiring or local service. • The cordless handset may be out of range of the base. Unit locks up and no communication between the base and cordless handset • Unplug the AC power adaptor from the wall outlet and the back of the base, and remove the backup batteries from the bottom of base (if previously installed).
